I scheduled an acrylic fill in & pedicure. I sat for over 20 minutes before I got in a chair. The lady doing my acrylic fill in was not attentive. She kept talking to other people, and while using a drill on my thumb she burned me. I asked for a trim and she took more than I wanted. No going back from that. My pedicure went better. But, be aware that they push for you to purchase a more expensive treatment. I had to firmly say no after a few tries. The atmosphere was just okay, nothing special. read more

I must admit that I was rather pleased with my first visit to the VS Nail Salon today. In fact, this was one of the few salons in the neighborhood that was open on Sundays. I took a chance because there were some bad reviews in the past but it's very close to home and they are open on Sundays so I gave it a try. I requested an appointment for either today (Sunday) or later in the week and I immediately got a reply to come in today. I scheduled a time and contact with the owner, Michael, was great. He even reminded me about getting $5 off with a Yelp check in. The salon was clean and modern. Yesenia helped me with a GelX set that had grown out and needed a fill in. I'd give give 0 stars if I could. One staff member was extremely rude and unprofessional. I got a mani-pedi and my total came up to $125. Keep in mind I did not initially want a pedicure but they said there was a wait for manicures but someone was available for a pedi so they said just get a pedicure too. I wasn't trying to be there long but since there was gonna be a wait anyway I said why not. BIG MISTAKE! I should've just went somewhere else. I was not happy with the service as it felt rushed and wasn't done properly (I had polish left on my skin and evident unevenness with the crystal manicure). I still decided to give a small tip even though I didn't like the service because I don't feel comfortable not tipping at all. The staff member pointed to the receipt with the tip amount and said "that's it? For two people?" I was utterly shocked and embarrassed. There was a woman behind me and she looked just as shocked. This was the worst experience I've ever had at a nail salon. I would advise the staff to remember that a tip is NOT mandatory and is a reflection of the service YOU provide. It would have been more appropriate to simply ask for feedback and if I was happy with the service. I would have kindly explained how I felt. read more

If I could give zero stars I would, I went in and asked for a French manicure & pedicure and they only use the nail polish brush to attempt the French look which is not the same professional technique that is used at other salons to get the true French pedicure look, also they cut my nails too short, didn't polish to the end of the nail, and over polished other nails, when I tried to explain my disappointment, I was told I needed to pay for the service anyway, even though I was completely dissatisfied, I would not go back again, and advise others not to as well. read more

I went to this nail shop out of my way because I figured I'd get a better value than on Marco island (where I live). Boy was I wrong. I paid $30 for a regular pedicure. I'm not kidding when I tell you I would have been better off getting a polish change. For instance The young gentlemen started my massage at 5:24 and it ended at 5:24. It didn't last one minute. When I asked if that was it? he said "yes" curtly. I get pedicures every two weeks. This was the worst I have ever gotten. You know the scrub part? Yeah well that was maybe one minute as well. Really a mixed bag kind of place. They seem to be training a lot of new people but with very little oversight. I never get the same pedicure/manicure twice even though I am getting the exact same thing every time. I generally have to fix my manicure as soon as I leave because the shape is always wonky. But what I am even more please about is how much care Henry takes in making my nails look beautiful every time I see him.
