Let me start by saying this: you can tell from my Yelp history that I usually avoid leaving businesses bad reviews, but in this case it's necessary because I don't want what happened to me to happen to anyone else. I had my first gel manicure recently, which I had avoided doing to date because I was afraid of damaging my nails, which have always been strong and healthy. Here was my only mistake: instead of driving further to the salon who did the manicure so they could carefully remove the gel, I stopped at Nails & More, more aptly named Nails & Less, Much, Much Less. The woman (who apparently runs the place) RUINED my nails with her electric grinder. Not only was she completely disinterested when I stopped in and asked about removal, she was careless and downright negligent in the removal itself. She soaked my nails with acetone, but only left it for a few minutes before deciding to drill into my nails in the interest of HER time (I never said I was in any kind of hurry and was, in fact, not). I pointedly asked her if she couldn't just let them soak longer and push the polish off with an orange stick so as not to damage my nails, and her only response was "this is faster." Because of her poor skills and apathy, my nails now have a mottled/dimpled appearance like hammered metal, and I shudder to think of what problems I'll have until the damage grows out. If you are thinking at ALL of coming to this salon for gel removal, don't walk in the other direction - RUN. Run fast and far. Another shit show experience. Today was a 3 hour acrylic fill experience that was terrible. No words to describe the frustration at the owner, who was getting her hair done at the time to focus on her customers. This was the 2nd and last extremely frustrating time I'll ever go there. read more

I was out running a few errands on a Sunday morning. I needed to get my finger nails clipped and saw an OPEN sign in the window of this establishment; I figured what the heck... it's open. I was not ready for the manicure and pedicure I received. At first I was only going to get a *quick manicure. Once the technician started I decided to get a pedicure as well. they did an amazing job. I am a man so we are the odd Ducks always in a nail salon. Was I impressed... they ended up doing them simultaneously which was a bonus; I imagine for being early on a Sunday morning. It was not inexpensive but I would pay that happily for the quality of the service and ease of the whole process!!! BRAVO read more

I went to get gel nails for the first time here. After my nails were finished, I went outside and saw my gel nails in the daylight and noticed bumps and craters, and the gel was on too thick. I brought this to their attention and came back later and the person who originally did my nails fixed them up free of charge! Now they look beautiful! The staff was very kind and accommodating :) Update: I really wanted to give this place the benefit of the doubt. However, after having just had these nails removed, its apparent that something went wrong. These did not come off as easily as they're normally supposed to. I had my fingers soaking in acetone for a full 45 minutes and they barely budged. Ended up ruining my nails. Also, the cuticle oil they used on me was rancid and my pedicure was done unevenly. Didn't want to mention that because they were so kind but... don't go here. Three stars for kindness and because the nails looked nice for a while. read more

They lack integrity in their pricing. I got charged extra for paying with my debit card. I wasn't told what that service fee was. I got overcharged for getting regular polish painted on my toes. $25. Was told while I was checking out to pay. I understand this is Naples, FL, but $25 for regular polish on toes is overpriced. The owner also tried to charge me for a full when I only got my polish changed. I was charged 35 for a gel polish change on my fingers and to fix one nail. Completely ridiculous and not okay. Nail salons are starting to rip customers off across this city and it's disappointing. The first time I came to this salon, I did an entire fill, fix, and gel polish for $35. I thought I finally found a place to go to, but I will never go back again. read more

I was charged $40 for gel polish. Simoly gel polish. No scrub, lotions, cuticle cutting, no previous polish to take off. It was 6 mins of just applying gel polish and it was $40. What a rip off. I should have just gotten the whole pedicure, I think that's usually $45-50 for the whole 45 minute pedicure at most places! read more

I originally left an amazing review because I really did have a good experience initially. But that night after the pedicure I noticed how short and round my big toenails were cut. A week or so later my big toes were starting to swell. I ended up getting my wisdom teeth removed shortly after the pedicure and being put on an antibiotic. While on the antibiotics my toes no longer swelled and the pain went away. After getting off the antibiotics both my big toes became extremely swollen and extremely painful.A few trips to a podiatrist later and both of my big toe nails have been removed due to abscesses at the base of my nail the cuticle. The doctor said that the nails were cut incorrectly and the cuticle was pushed down incorrectly and bacteria got inside the cuticle and has just been festering. I called the store to let them know about the situation so that no one else has to go through this and the manager said "what do you want me to do? " I only wanted an apology because I'm not going back to that place but they couldn't even give me an apology.I shouldn't have to ask for an apology I'm really sad because I really did enjoy this place at but seeing what has happened now, I would not recommend. read more

I'm not planning on going back in the future, I really didn't like the way my nails looked at the end.

I'm on vacation and unfamiliar with nail salons in the area. I passed Nails & More on my way to shop at Publix and asked if they could do a mani/pedi right away . . . and they did! Awesome service, clean, calming and the technicians were polite, friendly and very helpful. They introduced me to a new product that's better for my nails than the usual gel polish I usually have. The color looks fabulous and they said it should last 2 weeks. If that's the case, I'll provide an update here!
