I used to love coming here to get my nails done because they always did them exactly how I wanted them, but today when I came I had the worst experience. I was supposed to be next for a refill but instead they skipped me and let 3 other girls go before me when I was here before they were. They did not have an appointment either, they were just walk ins. Honestly don't recommend coming here if they are going to treat their customers like this. read more

I love this salon because of the attentive service workers because they have very friendly manners, professional and kind. This salon has great service, luxurious interior, and clean. There are many beautiful and strange nail designs with many great colors for customers to choose from. I appreciate this place, definitely come back here too. read more

I would give this place zero stars but I just have to say I had the WORST experience here . My nails were soo ugly and uneven and when I told the lady who did my nails I didn't like the shape she LIED to me and said it was " too late " to change them. However I went to a different salon right after and they were able to change them right there so obviously the lady was just too lazy to please the customer and decided to lie instead. Please save your coins and don't come here! read more

Overall, it was okay. Not the best pedicure I've ever received. Had at least 3 different people come and take over throughout the course of it. They seem to take on more clients than they can handle. Totally packed, not even an open seat but they insisted I stay for my dip manicure. The lady was very rushed, didn't do a bad job but was back and forth the entire time. Definitely don't feel that I got my money's worth, but the student discount was nice. read more

V's nails has the most friendly staff I have ever seen! Matt helps you with all your color needs. He matches skin tones to colors. Ben is the most neatest nail tech ever he makes sure ever nail is identical to the other one. They are really affordable and fast read more

They have tablets you use to pay now instead of a classic cash register. Love the modern upgrade, but I'm uneasy with the fact that the woman who did my nails hovered over the screen that displayed tipping options. When I chose the 15% option, the second I was done she turned the screen back towards her and gave a small "thank you" without looking at me. Not sure if my tip upset her, but as someone who works in customer service, I know that wasn't the classiest way to thank a customer for their service. Other than that, my nails came out pretty good. They aren't 100% cleaned up from leftover gel on my skin, but I'm extremely OCD when it comes to my hands. Student discount is always nice. They just don't speak to you much unless it involves your nails themselves. If you don't like talking, this place is perfect. Not sure if I'll be returning. read more

Had to come to Baton Rouge to do makeup for a girl going to a sorority formal and decided to get a pedicure and I had a wonderful experience. Everyone was so nice and the pedicure itself was amazing. The foot massage during the pedicure was the best I've had. Might have to come to Baton Rouge more often!!! read more

Worst nail salon and service. I went in to have my shellac taken off and new shellac painted back. They over charged me and didn't give me the student discount, luckily I caught the guy who was trying to screw me over. He also tried to tell me his V's salon is a 5 start salon... thats a joke. My shellac started to chipped away after 4 days, its supposed to last 2 weeks. I will never go back to this shit hole again. I'd like to give them no stars but it doesn't allow. read more

I'm in the beauty industry so I get real irritated if my nails aren't done right. So I drove to BR to spend the day with my niece at LSU crossing my fingers our nails would be somewhat ok, she's never had shellac. We walked in, it was ok, normal nail salon, but hands down one of the best shellac manicures I've ever had! Very thorough, polish perfectly, shapes nails the way I like them, & very nice people. Totally recommend for the LSU campus area. I know where to go whenever I'm in BR. read more

I am from out of town. Came to Baton Rouge to get married. Before I left town I got a terrible acrylic nail job done. Came here and Ken did a great job trying to fix them. He was very nice and gentle because I had lots of sores from the other place. If I lived near by this would be the place I would go. read more

I absolutely loved this place. I am a college kid and not from the area but I'm glad I came across this place. Amy and Ben did an amazing job on my nails and toes I definitely recommend them to anyone interested in getting good quality nail service. read more

Very great service. Patient and friendly. As much as I did not wanna be that person, I was unsatisfied with how my nails turned out one visit and returned the next morning requesting that they shave them down a bit, same color and they did so with no problem. he kinda shoo'd me away at the end tho lol I planned on tipping anyway, and I did - which is why I didn't give it 5 stars. they're great! read more

DO NOT GO!!! They do not clean anything after using it. Also the tools they use are illegal. They cut me so bad that my whole toe got infected with STAFF and I have to seek medical care. I am from MO and here on vacation so this is not good. They where so rude about it also. They charged me $70.00 and my husband had to get them to give me my money back. The infection was caused by unskilled techs And unsanitary tools!! read more

Really good! They did great and have good prices. As well as a 10% student discount! They didn't cut up my cuticles like a lot of places do which I appreciate. They even gave me and my friends a free green tea hand cream! read more

V's Nails - Nail Salons Near Me - Baton Rouge, Louisiana

I recently moved to the area so I was looking to find a new nail salon. I was actually referred to V's from another yelp review on a competitor's page that said to go to V's instead. Note taken. Anyways, I called ahead at 4:45pm asking if they had time for acrylics and a pedicure, and they were available. Once I got there, it was starting to get a little busy, being it was a Friday and almost close, but I was taken in right away. I got a gel pedicure, which is what knocks this review down a few stars. They only have one type of pedicure, not just a basic or polish change pedi, but the whole nine and it cost me $45. The older lady who did my toenails took a very long time, and I'm a regular pedicure-goer (every 3-4 weeks) and size 5.5 feet, so my toes were not a wreck nor big. By the time she finished on my feet an hour had passed and I wondered if they would even have time for my acrylics. My other gripe is she painted the skin around my toenails, therefore the gel polish peeled off within 4 days. Not happy having paid $45+tip and my toes look like an unfinished game of Connect 4....in 4 days. The lady who did my acrylics was not a terrible experience. She was a bit sarcastic, which as a bartender I normally don't mind, but she seemed like she very much wanted to go home and finish my fill quickly, sighing when I asked to trim my nails down a bit and to reshape one that was not even with the rest. Overall, the work was good and she got the shape that I wanted and they have not broken. The polish layers are a bit thick for my liking. I will give them another try. But I either will not be getting a pedicure from the same employee here or just overall going to skip the pedicures at this location and find another salon. We will have to see. read more

They really pay attention when they do their mani/pedi here. The massage on my legs and arms was awesome. They are not in a rush. They aim to please. They offer drinks to customers. My nails were painted very carefully and I wasn't disappointed. Cost $44 read more

No stars if possible.. if u want cheap nails, go here. The guys are pervs and I left with bloody toes and half of one of my finger nails cut off. They don't even do acrylic right. They paint the powder. CHEAP read more

The salon was very clean and nice, they had a huge assortment of colors both gel and regular polish which is a plus. I went on a Saturday and it was very busy, i waited about 10 minutes before i was serviced which is ok because i expected that for a Saturday. The man who polished my toes did a good job, he took extra good care polishing every part of my nail just the way i like it. As for my nails, the guy who did them could have done better. He was very kind, but I'm not a big fan of the shape and he didn't get all the spaces like i likes which was disappointing because I'm very picky about my hands. I paid 18$ for a polish change on my nails and toes, which is a nice price and they even offer a 10% discount if you are a student which is nice to. Overall it wasn't the best place, but it was worth the try since it was about 5 minutes away from my house. I could come here for and emergency but that's about it. read more

They are so nice here. They give AMAZING pedicures but don't get your nails done here if you want them to last.

Just got a pedicure here on my lunch break. It was by far the best pedicure I have ever had. Chi was thorough and made sure my toes left there looking perfect. My pedicure was 40 minutes long, super relaxing with extensive leg massage, scrub and hot towel wraps and only $30!! I'll definitely be going to V's on my lunch more often. read more

Hands down favorite nail salon! They always do the BEST job, are so kind, make sure your experience is perfect and are very fast! I recommend this place to anyone that wants to find a great nail salon they can go to long term! Also, not only is this place amazing at nails but they also do the best brow wax! read more

Just had a wonderful gel manicure and a spa pedicure at V's Nails. They did the best work I've found here in Baton Rouge. I'll be back for sure. read more

My friend and were pleased with our mani/pedis. The only reason I'm not giving them a 5/5 is because of the service. My nail tech wasn't the friendliest- I'm very particular when It comes to my pedicures, and she seemed annoyed when I was telling her what I wanted. On the plus side though, everyone else was nice, they're clean and the price was fair. Most likely will be returning :)Lastly, be cautious if there's an LSU game. read more

The lady that did my nails was obviously in a hurry to get to the other people that were waiting to get their nails done so she basically just slapped nail polish on my nails and called it a day. It was on my skin around my nails and super messy. I couldn't believe she was okay with charging me for it honestly. This place might have cheaper prices but it's still not worth it... read more

I got my acrylic nails refilled and a pedicure. I was quickly attended to. My main complaint would be that my nail technician was unable to do the design I requested (painted color tips on almond shaped nails) so I ended up leaving with plain nails. I did, however, enjoy the shaping of my nails and the pedicure was great. read more

This was our first visit. Did a good job. Nice employees. They made sure to ask my daughter's name and introduce themselves...not mine. They did not offer us anything to drink or a student discount as described by other reviews, and it was pricey...hmm. We'll try them again and see. read more

V's has been my go-to nail place since I started at LSU in 2015. They are always friendly and can usually accommodate any requests you may have regarding shape, length, design, etc. For a while I got acrylic nails with gel polish and recently within the last year switched to dipping powder; they have a great color selection for both. They always offer a free drink during your service and they give small gifts like soap and lotion out during Christmas time. They have a student discount for college kids which is awesome and they have phone chargers at every nail and pedicure station! The only negative about V's is that the wait time can sometimes be long because it is so popular but you can make an appointment! They also recently added a few new nail stations to help with the wait time. They only offer one standard pedicure but they make sure that your heels and the bottom of your feet are soft and they massage your legs/feet with lotion for a pretty decent amount of time afterwards. 10/10 would recommend! read more

5 star. I will never go anywhere else. The employees are very nice and friendly. I am so glad I found this place. I wish I could put a pic my nail's are beautiful!!! Happy happy happy read more

V's Nails - Loving my nails - Nail Salons Near Me - Baton Rouge, Louisiana

Being new to BR, I had to find a new regular nail shop, and V's is definitely that place. I get acrylic nails with gel, and the work is high quality and lasts me at least 3 weeks. The prices are little high even with my LSU discount, but it's worth it, because I don't go back for 3 weeks. My only complaint, is the wait. If you don't go to V's early in the morning, you risk having to wait 30-45 mins to be serviced. I wish they would hire more nail techs. read more

My nails ended up perfect!! I accidentally called my full set "manicure" and they tried to charge me for both. I was disappointed about that. But he charged me a little less. All in all I'm super satisfied with my nails!! read more

Very detailed product. The nail tech did an excellent job on both my toes and fingers.

This salon does a decent job. I've gotten my nails done here during my time at LSU. Convenient location and they offer a student discount. However, plan a 2-4 hour window when coming here. Seems like they try to do more with less and the customer ends up paying for it. The last time I went I came in around 10:30, 10:45 and didn't leave until 2:30. They were busy when I got there but it certainly slowed down. Ridiculous for a full set, pedi and eyebrows. The salon I go to in Houston gets me in and out in under 1.5 hours if I'm getting everything done and they almost always have a lot of customers, do a great job, and offer quality packages. So there's a lot of inefficiencies with V's. Great salon but make sure you keep your schedule open. read more

I have been going to V's for almost a year now and have always had great service until now. Today I had the absolute worst pedicure I've ever had in my life. The guy who did my pedicure was probably about 15 years old. He was way more focused on the TV above him than my feet, and cut 2 of my toes with a cuticle clipper because he wasn't paying attention. While massaging my feet he kept getting so caught up watching other people in the salon that I guess he forgot what he was doing and would just leave his hands resting on my legs/feet for a minute or two. Overall a very horrible experience. read more

Great nail place. My gel manicure lasts at least 10 days when I go here. Other places around BR usually last 7 days and start chipping. Fast and friendly place! read more

This is undoubtedly the slowest nail place in Baton Rouge. They take forever- it is ridiculous.

Leg and foot massage during the pedicure was great! She took plenty of time. Definitely the best I've ever had. They also have wifi and phone chargers on the massage chairs which is a nice plus. She did a great job on the polish also. I'll definitely be back! read more

They have cut my skin (sensitive area under nail) every single time I've gone there, and I'm talking cuts on multiple fingers to the point of bleeding. I had to apply pressure with a paper towel to make it stop. The older woman who removed my shellac had sharp jagged nails and repeatedly shoved them into my nail and skin to scrape off the polish instead of using the tool. I literally winced with pain every time she jabbed me. They're typically always busy with an avg wait time of 20-30 minutes because they are so close to campus and all the college students go there for a 10% discount. Friendly staff though and complementary drinks. I wasn't offered any compensation for my bloody and throbbing cuticles. I've had other friends get free or discounted manicures at other salons because they injured the client. They always seem rushed which leads to their carelessness, so I will probably go somewhere else from now on. read more
