On the menu this weekend was the zereshk polo with chicken, tachin with chicken, and ghormeh sabzi with beef. They even threw in some free tadig which was such a nice touch! Everything was divine. However, the zereshk polo and tachin absolutely stole the show. So aromatic, fresh, sweet, flavorful and delicious. I couldn't get enough of those. I ravenously rushed from one bite to the next until my plate was empty. So bomb! If you order for pickup, then this is such a well priced meal too. And the owners are beyond friendly, patient and kind. We went back and forth on instagram trying to accommodate a date, order, and time. They were so helpful and receptive every step of the way. And when I arrived, they carried the food all the way to my car. So thoughtful. The only constructive thing I can say is that I wish there was more meat. I eat a lot of protein (shoot for 170g a day), so I would have liked a heftier portion of chicken and beef. But I eat way more meat than the average person. I'm sure that these protein portions would satisfy the majority of the population. All in all, this is a 5 star meal service. My Persian fiancée and I both highly recommend Sogol's Place. He took great care of us from the start of our visit till the end. For drinks my group got the lychee martini and said the best things about it. Someone also got their pornstar martini and loved that. I got the catch espresso and this was one of the better espressos I've had lately. I was surprised I liked it so much because it had tequila and that normally makes it sweeter, but it was perfect. I'd give it a solid 8.5/10. (Yes I'm specific lol). We got the chicken gyoza as an appetizer and that was delicious. Very small but really good. Also the shishito peppers, but those were ok. My group got a bunch of sushi shareable's and they liked everything. I got the 8oz filet, cooked to medium, and this was ok. The outside was quite burned and it didn't have enough seasoning, so unfortunately all I was tasting was a burnt crust. For dessert we ordered the iconic hit-me chocolate cake. That was great. It had vanilla ice cream with layers of chocolate cake inside. Some other employee recognitions I wanted to give was for Edvin and Caesar. Edvin was dropping some stuff off but was such a character. Caesar was on another level. He was cleaning the tables and then came to ours and just joined in on our conversation like he was one of the girls. The Beverly Rose came with an iced rose and is one of the best drinks I've had in a long while. So delicious. Even though there was jalapeño in it, it didn't taste spicy at all but sweet. It blew my mind. The food is also really tasty and fresh. It's pricey, but the location and food make it worth it. I'm coming back to take friends here for drinks! Valet parking is $10 if you eat at the hotel. It's inside the Four Seasons and it's very grand. :)

Just seeing the truck/van made my morning between the pastel decorations, the smell of new books, and the promise of great new reads. Browsing through their books, I was impressed with the variety as there are more books than just romance. And, the prices? On par with independent bookstores. After my first visit, I also went with a friend to their book swap event at the Runway in Playa Vista which the owner of Fleuria had shared with me during my visit at The Coffee Bar. This experience was just as delightful! I got to meet fellow bookworms, chat about favorite books, trade books, and discover some titles I hadn't heard of before. The owner is seriously so sweet and genuine, full of warmth and love for the selection of books she curates. The Fleuria isn't just a truck selling books. If I could've paid real cash I would've loved the glass water bottle wrapped with insulated cotton, $6.00 as well as a T-shirt and canvas bag. There were healthy green and fruit juices for sale as well as flavored waters and even a matcha and coffee bar. You were only allowed 1 of each item and that $10 limit. Super fun and colorful, great advertising, very clever and well organized. Loved it!!!
