A coworker of mine recommended Fritzi Coop at the Original Farmer Market. The employee was very kind and answered my questions. The hot level is like jalepeno, inferno level is ghost pepper and other peppers together. I got just the sandwich and the spice level was just right. The top bun made the sandwich a little hard to eat do ended up taking it off after a while- the slaw and pickles added a nice balance. The chicken itself was soft and a good portion.
Tried this place for the first time when we visited the farmers market. We had the stinger and the Fritzi hot. The sandwiches were tasty and the chicken was crispy and not dry. Not a huge fan of the curly fries but still a good option for fried chicken.
Server was very nice but it seemed like he was the only worker so the food came out a little later than I was hoping. It's located in the farmers market so there's a lot of food to choose from and I really liked the vibe here. BIG note I wanted to share was that there's 2 different parking, one is for the mall and the other is for the market. The market does not validate for the mall which was unfortunately news for me. The food was ok. Nothing really special. I liked their sauces though.
If I had to rate this place on service alone, I would probably give it 5 stars. But the food was not good. We ordered the chicken strips bucket with the curly fries, and it tasted like frozen food. There was something off with the chicken and everyone in my party said the same thing. I guess if you're short on time and want a quick bite (and you're not picky), then by all means, give it a go. But be prepared to pay $$ - it's not cheap but compared to other restaurants in the area, I guess it's more affordable.
Food was dry, stale, cold, nasty and sauce was warm, I don't recommend the spicy mayo or the ranch or any sauce. Service, horrible Ashley had an attitude, was rude, and it's very dirty in the kitchen. Also the food is overpriced for the quality of food we were given. $50 is definitely not worth what we got.

The fries were fine, but did not come with any ketchup- unless I wanted to pay extra for a side of sauce. My friend who ordered the chicken sandwich said the chicken was bland and the bun was dry. Although most of the places at the farmer's market are overpriced, this place was ridiculous for what you were getting. The only good thing was the staff and the speed of service. But I will not be going back.
It's a kiosk at the original farmer's market so I get that the rent is high so the prices are, too. Plenty of places out there that charge the same so we didn't hesitate to try it. Service was fine. Wait was average. Chicken was terrible. A very slight upgrade from public school cafeteria food. No flavor. No crisp. We basically bit into bland lumps. Tasted as good as it sounds. The curly fries were passable, at best, so I guess that's something. An absolute must miss for anyone.
The crunchiest, juiciest, most flavorful chicken! Ordered the buffalo chicken sandwich and it was beyond good! The size of the chicken breast was quite big and the sandwich was enough to share. The buffalo sauce they use had the perfect amount of heat and tang and their blue cheese slaw was the perfect pairing. Curly fries are always my go to side and these were fried perfectly.
The good: We got the spicy chicken sandwich with pickled and slaw. The shiny brioche bun was nice and the presentation was great. I liked the red plate and checkered paper for a retro feel. The slaw was crunchy and fresh tasting. The chicken wasn't too spicy nor too dry. I liked that the slaw wasn't too full of Mayo. The pickles were crunchy and sweet. The chicken was very red and oversized. The bad: It was pricey ($18). The chicken could've used more spice and a little more flavor. The interesting: This place is located in the LA farmer's market. There's plenty of seating in this area but it can get crowded. You get a buzzer to inform you when your food is ready. It didn't take too long for our food to be done.
A friend works across the street from the Farmer's Market. Today we went to Fritzi Coop for lunch. He had popcorn chicken, coleslaw, and honey mustard sauce (he is on a diet). I had a hot fried chicken sandwich. Everything was very good. My friend was very impressed by how big the piece of chicken in my sandwich was, how good his popcorn chicken was, and how much more reasonable the prices at Fritzi Coop were compared to the other places he usually has lunch at in the Farmer's Market.
If you are a fan of Fried Chicken sandwiches you definitely should get yourself over to Fritzi Coop at the Farmers Market for one of the best sandwich in Los Angeles. A chicken breast dipped in buttermilk batter and fried to a crispy golden brown on the outside and juicy in the inside the breast is place on a brioche bun dressed with lettuce, sliced tomato, and bread and butter pickle chips . The bun is top off with Fritzi's signature sauce. I always have order the curly fries as accompaniment to my sandwich which are perfectly fired. At Fritzi Coop are cooked to order, so every food item is fresh, hot and crispy.
Service was fairly quick and the sandwich was a large size but definitely expensive! All the restaurants here at the farmers market is over priced. For Fritzi Coop I got the combo #1 which includes a crispy chicken sandwich with fries and drink for $27! Definitely overpriced but it tasted good. Additional sauce is $.60 extra. Food tasted great!
While in LA, my first time, for Anime Expo 2026, I took a day-long bus tour that took us to all the popular tourist spots, including the Original Farmers Market next to The Grove. The Original Farmers Market was a little overwhelming, I had decision-paralysis figuring out what I wanted for lunch! After walking around a while, I kept coming back to Fritzi Coop and decided to get lunch here, a great decision. It was a Saturday, around 1:45pm, when I walked up to the counter and placed my lunch order. The woman working the counter was friendly, very personable and gave great recommendations when I asked about the menu and sauces. After paying, I received my receipt with a number that was called/yelled on when my food was ready. There was a little bit of a wait, close to 10 minutes or so, but everything was made-to-order, so I didn't mind one bit. Once I got my food, I speared my receipt on a pile of other receipts to indicate my order was fulfilled and conveniently found a table right in front of Fritzi Coop. For lunch, I ordered the "#10 - The Fritzi Wrap", which is crispy chicken tenders, romaine lettuce, tater tots, shredded parmesan tossed in Caesar dressing inside a wrap with a small cup of their House Buffalo sauce. This wrap was excellent! The chicken tenders were hot and freshly fried. The tater tots were a unique and tasty filling inside the wrap. The Caesar dressing paired very well with everything inside the wrap. As for the House Buffalo sauce, this had great flavor and a good spicy kick to it - I enjoyed pouring a bit inside the wrap before each bite. The price for the wrap and a bottle of water was what I expected in 2026, it wasn't cheap, but the quality and portion size justified it. Fritzi Coop is a solid spot in the Original Farmers Market! I would love to try one of their chicken sandwiches for lunch, if I ever get back to LA. read more

Fritz's Coop is an affordable option in the farmers market at The Grove! I ordered 4 chicken tenders to go and it costs about $10. This is actually not bad for LA and the chicken tenders were modestly sized. I was pleasantly surprised to see that they gave me an extra tender in my order. It seemed that they had an extra leftover piece and added into my order. The chicken wasn't the juiciest but it wasn't too dry. It went well with the honey mustard sauce. There weren't too many pure protein options in the farmer's market area so this was a good stop. There are a lot of spaces to sit nearby the shop in the food court area. I would come back again to try the chicken sandwiches. read more

Amazing service! Prices are good for the food portion and quality. I mentioned I did not wanted cheese and she asked me questions in regards to that. Are you lactose intolerant? I responded, Yes Are you high sensitive with dairy? I responded, yes She then said, I don't suggest this for you as this is made with heavy cream.... I said is OKAY!! I am going home and not planning in going out for the rest of the day! We laughed and said okay! They you are good! I love this!! Thank you so much for worrying for me and my issues! Its located at the farmers market at the grove. Came during lunch hours. Upon arriving, had to wait a about 5 mins to order the food since there were only 2 workers during peak hours. The staff were just okay, weren't as friendly but it was still doable. The ambiance is as is, an outdoor food court whi h was find. The surrounding of its area was busy and clean. The food and portion was good and the chicken was good. Nothing to really rave about other than a good portal of the chicken. It was a great try for the first time but i wouldn't come back again. The price was overly priced, spent $50 for 1 combo and 1 sandwich which was pretty ridiculous to me. read more

Unfortunately, I am a culinary instructor and I know that they cooked the chicken breast earlier in the day and just reheated it, it was not warm in the center or very tender and then the crust was warm! They either reheated it in the microwave or on a grill but they should have just made it fresh! The coleslaw was boring with no taste! It needs a bit of vinegar and mayonnaise to make it taste better! I would not recommend this chicken!! I was very disappointed for a $25 lunch!!! read more

I am not a fan of this place. The sandwiches are way overpriced for what you get. I ordered the spicy junior and wondered where the flavor was. I also wasn't impressed on how they handled my to-go order. When I went to pay they added 25 cents. The cashier said it was a bag fee and then the cook chimed in and said, "Yeah, we charge 10 cents. I said, 'it says here 25 cents.' He said, "Oh." Then he proceeded to blame it on California. That's the easy way out; don't blame California. It has nothing to do with that and everything to do with how to run a business. They already charge $16.99 for a chicken sandwich and you want to charge me 25 cents for a to-go order for a sandwich? Trying to nickel and dime every customer for a TO-GO order is so lame and very annoying. read more
Was in need of a light meal and wings sounded like just the thing. Nestled inside the farmers market this stand had quite a few people in line which is always a good sign. There is plenty of seating in front but can get busy on the weekends. The wings were tender but crunchy on the outside. The curly fries also hit the spot. In peak dinnertime hours, I sought Fritzi Coop's Popcorn Chicken because (in my opinion) it was the one thing on the menu worth the price listed. It took a bit for the food to be ready, but they gave me a buzzer and I could sit at a table while waiting. They do have an option of sauces, of which I can only recall the following: buffalo, honey mustard, ranch, and ketchup. The honey mustard was standard and far too little. For the amount of chicken that was given, just a TINY CUP. The chicken was alright! Pretty standard. Some pieces were more battered than preferred, but I could wash them down with the cup of water given upon request! Very cold. Very refreshing. read more

Wow! I normally don't eat chicken because I rarely like the taste! I stumbled across this gem at farmers market next to the grove! I don't know where they get their chicken from or what they are battered in, but I can unequivocally say these are the best chicken fingers I've ever had! I hope they don't deliver, because I've lost 70lbs and have 30lbs to go! I did overhear some people saying "$20 for a combo?" I got chicken tenders, dipping sauce, big bowl of coleslaw and a bottled Coca-Cola for $20 including tax! To those expressing their displeasure with the price, I say, have you seen how much a Big Mac combo from McDonald's is nowadays? I don't know who the owner is or if they're big enough to have a recruiting/HR department. But Monica and the crew were amazing hires! Excellent service!!! ordered the junior chicken sandwich combo because that's all that was left.. chicken was very dry and flavorless. i ended up just eating the tenders because the bun was even worse, and for the 8pc, crust was hard. i would not recommend this place. i expected more from a restaurant that had lines through the roof. read more
Food was pretty good! It was a big portion and breading was crunchy, if you're into that. The tenders were so much better than the sandwich. I liked the coleslaw cause I love celery but it was not traditional coleslaw in my opinion. The tater tots were yum though. My advice is go for the blue cheese sauce, skip the honey mustard and max up the spice! The workers were kind and food came out fast. The red checkered paper is super cute. We missed eating here at our last visit to The Grove, so we were excited to try them for lunch today. The displays looked so good that we had a hard time deciding. We finally chose the Fritzi Hot with curly fries and an order of Popcorn Chicken. The wait was longer than expected. When we finally received our order, sadly the chicken was overcooked and dry. The popcorn chicken was swimming in oil. It was unappetizing. We ended up eating just the curly fries and tossing the rest. read more

Pro tip: Their meal deal really is the best deal! You get a chicken sandwich with cheese with fries and lemonade for ~$15. It's delicious and super filling I came here on a whim while shopping and eating at the Farmer's Market next to the Grove. The chicken sandwiches are super juicy and the fried chicken patty was so huge that it took several bites to get to the bun! I also enjoyed that the lemonade was real lemonade, not super sugary and sweet. If you like southern style chicken sandwiches, this place is for you. I also experienced great customer service as the staff was really nice. read more

One of the better options in the farmers market area. For those familiar with the farmers market "food court" you know that for the most part the food options range from bad to above average. I don't think I've found an "amazing" option. Fritzi is in the upper half of the options. The fried chicken is freshly cooked and pretty juicy. The fried pickles are not bad either. read more
You will find this little counter service place inside the Farmers Market. They serve fried chicken from tenders, sandwiches, wings and combinations. It was a little odd that all they served was boneless chicken breast and no thighs or other parts besides the wings. Either way I had to get their 1 piece chicken combo with curly fries. I got the original style breading to it instead of the spicy just to see what they were all about. In a city full of delicious fried chicken places, this in my opinion falls just a tad bit below the average. The chicken was on the dry side and the breading was just hard and lacked flavor. The fries were good. As a fried chicken lover, I had to try it out and I'm glad it was just a 1 piece combo I got as it was slightly hard to finish. read more
