So tired of this place. Giving this review after many bad experiences after living across the street for 10 years. Every employee they have ever hired has a chip on their shoulder, and usually a bull ring in their nose. I asked specifically for 1 pink strawberry donut, and received the exact opposite... a maple donut which I hate. Wasn't worth going back in to complain, so I'm leaving a horrible review instead. This shop used to have a line out the door. Now, it's basically empty all the time. The donuts are the same, but their choice of who they hire is greatly affectting this business. These kids judge you as soon as you walk in the door. If they don't see you as progressive left wing, they mess with you. I just want to buy a donut! And I think you maybe want to make a dollar! The vegan donuts are fantastic--so much so that you might wonder if you were given the wrong donut! I got the chocolate ring (can't go wrong with a classic), and it had a tender crumb and a sweet, chocolatey glaze. I'll never forget the faces of the old people in the elevator as we were checking out of our hotel from our staycation carrying a pink box of doughnuts. They we very chatty and we were not and they asked us what was Voodoo's specialty..... um doughnuts.... but no, my answer was "cock n' balls" (one of their actual doughnuts) as we exited the elevator trying not to laugh!! I love this place. The doughnuts are so fun and unique. They also have an extensive coffee selection. My favorite donuts are the maple bacon bar(maple bar topped with real strips of bacon), and the Ring of Fire chocolate cake doughnut, the spice is almost more like a chi spice than a chili spice and it pairs perfectly with the chocolate. Very warming on a cool evening. I also tried the featured birthday cake doughnut on my most recent visit. It's a large raised doughnut filled with strawberry cream cheese filling. The filling had a nice airy texture but I did find the doughnut quite sweet. My least favorite donuts are any of the cereal and Oreo doughnuts. The cereal goes stale fast and it doesn't add much to the flavor. If you aren't sure what to get or you are buying as a gift, I recommend getting the voodoo dozen. It has a great variety of some of their best offerings. They also have vegan options. One note I would also add is I would like to see prices more clearly marked, on the menu, in the case, on the website. The price for each doughnut can differ quite a bit. read more

They have long hours and are open from 5am till 3am everyday. They also feature a variety of vegan options. Their doughnuts range from $2-$5 dollars and you can order ahead of time online. It's more so an in and out type of place so the service was typical. I tried the Voodoo Doll ($4.50) and to preface, this doughnut was huge. It satisfied the sweet craving and it was very fresh. If your wanting to satisfy your sweet tooth and donuts are your thing, Voodoo has you covered! We had a good friend over who brought an assortment of Voodoo doughnuts. And, we are fairly low carb - in fact, I can't remember the last time we bought donuts. But, life is short and low carb, for us, is meant to be worked around our lives. So, we enjoyed - every last one of them, but these guys are incredibly sweet. And if you are indulging, like we were, I'd recommend a cap or two of activated charcoal to go with your sugar goodies. Activated charcoal caps will help to mitigate the assault on your body - and minimize the blood sugar spike. That said, I also loved the creativity and variety of flavors - all sugar but each with it's own signature flavor. I had a couple of the cake donuts, more dense and cake like than your traditional doughnut, but also enjoyed the fluffy glazed ones also. Imagine my excitement when I found out that they have a store location in Denver (or maybe two!) when I visited! I was fortunate enough to make a vacation to this location several times on my last trip to Denver before the pandemic and came away very impressed. The donuts here taste the same as Voodoo in Portland, which gives this restaurant bonus points for authenticity and reproducibility. The amazing world of donuts! We got 6 donuts to go but I only got a few photos because I was on a date. When you first arrive, parking isn't the best. It's street parking and they are located on a very busy street. We got lucky and found a spot. We got out and saw social distancing signs everywhere. They also had a sign about wearing a mask. I've been to the original location in Portland and another at Universal Studios. Definitely had to make a pit stop at this location before heading up to RMNP. My go to favorite, Maple Blazer Blunt, was gone in one bite as soon as I got to the car. Maple bacon and Pink Sprinkle were also quite tasty. There is street parking along the main road, but also on some side streets as well. I really liked that this location had a spinning display case next to each register so you can see what you want to order! As a side note: we came during Covid operations. Social distancing in place via markers on the floor and masks required upon entry. Once the inside is full, the queue starts on the sidewalk outside. I usually hear about these donuts from Portland travelers, but when I saw there was one in Denver (two actually), I obviously had to try it on my trip. Covid-19: you can order and pay online with one caveat: many of their flavors don't show on the online ordering site. Luckily, you can also order and pay over the phone, so this is what we did. I didn't see anything about offering curbside pickup, so I just ran into the store to get ours quickly. My husband and I decided to split three donuts because we couldn't narrow what to get down more than that. We got Mango Tango, Key Lime Crush, and Guava Colada. I think Mango Tango was my favorite followed very closely by the Key Lime Crush. The Tang sugar on top of the Mango Tango was so tart and perfect and obviously I loved the mango filling. The key lime filling wasn't quite as good to me (which isn't surprising given how much I love mango), but the toppings were the best. The graham cracker, vanilla frosting, caramel drizzle was the perfect crunch/flavor enhancer. The Guava Colada was my least favorite. I enjoyed the guava filling and the vanilla frosting. The coconut didn't really enhance the donut for me, but I'm also not a huge coconut person. The decor inside was super funky and I loved it. The donut carousel would be perfect for deciding what flavor to get. If you're a donut lover, this is definitely a place you need to check out! read more
