Today I came in at 4:45 to pick up a cake and the bakery associate was rude. She took forever to get my cake I didn't leave the store till 5:15. She looked like she didn't know what she was doing and hated her job. When I went to place my order there was an older woman who was friendly and nice, way different personality then the associate I had today. My associates name was Brittany. My cake looks sloppy. DO NOT GO TO THEIR PHARMACY! I tried to have My husband's prescription filled here thinking it would be convenient. I turned in the prescription at 11 o'clock after waiting a long time in a short line.The man behind the counter tends to go off in big, long, unnecessary lectures that take up time. We've returned at 12:30pm & now at 2:30pm and they still haven't filled it yet. I could've driven to a hospital and gotten them filled by now! I will never come back here. Oh god horrible! I would never have gone in here but they had what I needed and so for the sake of Christmas Dinner off I go. Get this 2 days before Christmas they have 2 cashiers working, the lines go all the way to the back of the store and every cart is heaped. The cashier is laughing and chatting which is nice but we're all dying in this line. Two things I could not find even though their website said they had it were vacuum packed chestnuts and English Stilton cheese. No one knew about it. They over charged me for bags and when I told her she owed me she had no change, looking back at the 30 plus faces that looked like someone died I just couldn't make them wait and told her to keep it and left. This used to be my go to store but back in 2003 when they went on strike they told me not to shop at this store, I said if I don't shop here then I don't come back and so it's been for 17 years, I never should have deviated from that promise. I tried a pasta sauce called Tantillo because a representative for the product was in the aisle and gave me a crazy pitch about how my little old Italian grandmother would throw away her apron once she got a taste of this authentic Italian sauce. What happened??? After almost 10 years of being my #1 choice for groceries in the area (even thru the strike), this particular Vons has gone in the tank. It's not the staff, selection, cleanliness, or prices. It's not any of the conventional reasons. It's the management. The problem is that they do not schedule enough people to operate the damn store. Getting a cart can be difficult if you don't bring one in from the lot, and god help you if have a product question. The worst of it comes at the checkout lanes, where the lines curve down aisles and wrap into each other. The people who work there ( the few you can find) are very apologetic, and are the same people I've been seeing for years, and they are obviously hustling, but there are just too few scheduled to bear the burden. I've asked to speak with a manager on 2 occasions, and have left in disgust both times after having shined on with some tired ol BS about: "it's not usually like this". Because of the nature of my work, I don't keep regular hours. I shop when I am able. Sometimes it's 10am, other times it's 10pm. Lately it doesn't matter what time I go, I get stacked up at the checkout. I now split my shopping between Winco, Ralphs, and the occasional run to Fresh n Easy. read more

The groceries were placed in the trunk and then given the receipt. The prices are higher than other markets, but for the convenience it's worth it. Especially during this pandemic. Horrible customer service in the sandwhich/ deli department. No organization at all in the back. Had to wait 15 minutes for 1 sandwich because the girl making the sandwiches was also ringing up guests while someone else in the back sliced cheese. I don't understand why the other person couldn't help? And it's nothing new. This has been going on for at least a year now (I work down the street). You are better off not visiting this place and go to winco and buy and make your own sandwiches at work or home. read more

A supermarket with a Starbucks inside, what is not to like? They have groceries and you can drink coffee while you shop, what else do you need? Well, maybe one of those electric carts they offer with the little tiny basket would be nice. Always find what I am looking for here and it is close to my sisters house so an extra bonus for that. I was too lazy to cook for the fam one night and didn't want to go out to a restaurant or go out of my way to pick up food from our usual takeout spots. I decided to get some grocery store chicken and since I was in the area, I hit up this Vons. They didn't have any available when I got there so the lady behind the counter wrote my name down and told me to come back in 7 minutes. I walked around, bought a sandwich, chips, a banana and some iced tea for the malnourished looking homeless guy I saw sitting outside holding a sign that said hes homeless and hungry. When I went outside to give it to him though he was surfing the net on his iphone and didnt even look up. So I decided to save it for my lunch the next day. If he can afford a damn iphone and keep up the monthly phone charges/data plan then he doesn't need anyone buying him food. So I went back to the deli counter to get my fried chicken and surprise...they forgot about me. So I had to wait another 15 minutes for some chicken. The reason I gave this place a one star review, aside from making me wait forever, is because I found a hair on one of the pieces. It was all fried up in the batter but I managed to pull off like 5 inches of battered and deep fried hair. So gross. We had to throw away the rest of the chicken and ended up eating salad that night. Since this is my local grocery store, I figured I'd give them a shot at the pharmacy filing my prescription. Worst mistake ever!!! Not only did the pharmacist lose my insurance card, they took a week to get a simple birth control prescription. Talk about a joke!! I will never ever try this pharmacy out again, I've switched over to CVS in Rancho Cucamonga & their service is impeccable!!!! Within 20mins I have my prescriptions & they have me on auto fill which is convenient. No more hassles & I'm in and out of there quickly... "Drive up and go" was more like drive up for a headache. Both times I have used this service I have been left outside waiting for more than 30 minutes. Calling drive up and go phone # and calling the store's main number and nobody answers. Thought the first time it happened was just a fluke, but nope it happened again. If I didn't have a newborn, a sleeping kid and a cranky kid in the car I would have stomped in the store sooner to ask for my order. I had to flag down one of the cart attendants to ask someone inside for assistance with my order. I would have to be really desperate to use this service again. Get it together Vons! read more

I am giving two stars because the general manager of the store has always been great and they do have some great employees as well. However, today that was surely not the case!! Debbie was very rude when it just was not neccessary. No customer should be treated with disrespect no matter what the employee personally thinks about them. I felt she was rude a few months ago so I have not been shopping at this location as often. I just felt as Debbie surely did not like me as a person, and that is fine. As I left today, after leaving everything there and walking out with nothing, I knew I was right. I am in customer service as well, one thing to remember is that business is business and personal is personal. I would like to give them zero stars but I guess that wouldn't be fair since I didn't get far enough in the store to evaluate it fairly. We went today (black Friday) at 8:20pm. It's not our regular market but we were at Graziano's so we stopped by for a few things. There were no carts outside by the door we used so we went in to see if they were inside. There was a line of them by Starbucks. I grabbed one but then realized they were all attached to each other by the child restraint straps so my husband begin to help me set one free. All of a sudden he gets rammed in his a$$ (not meaning to sound vulgar) by another string of carts being pushed by an employee! Hit him kinda hard... He jerked forward and he's a pretty big guy. She mumbled something that could have been an apology I don't know. Then she tells us we can't use those ones. So I went to grab one of the ones she had (they were not attached) and she says "No. You can get one outside." I was shocked. I said can I just have one of these? She said no... they're outside. I persisted a little and whined that I would have to go back outside to the other entrance to get one. She still insisted we couldn't have one. It sounded like she was saying she was blocking off the entrance. You know how they sometimes close one door as it gets closer to closing time? Yeah for that. But really? She couldn't let us have just one? Was it because she would have to go out and get one more for her little barricade mission? I'm so sure. Such bad customer service. I was really in shock. She should have given us one especially since she hit my husband! So we left. They lost today's purchase and all future business from us. This review only reflects the Vons delivery service and in no way measures the service at the store my family frequents. I have been thinking about trying the grocery delivery service and noticed a promo for a free delivery on the Vons website. I placed the order, received the free delivery in my cart after using a promo code, set a delivery time between 5pm-9pm, and paid. At no time when I placed the order, the website notified me that two of the products I paid for was out of stock. A customer service representative called my wife and told her the service substituted what they thought was a similar product. My other choice was simply out of stock with no other alternative. When the person told my wife the spice Vons chose, she declined their offer since it was in no way a similar spice. To the company's credit, the representative refunded the cost of what I tried to order, and the person told my wife to just keep the spice Vons thought would suffice. As my delivery window of 5pm-9pm approached the 9pm hour, the delivery driver called and notified us that he had two deliveries in Yucaipa and would not be at our house until after 9pm. My wife and I were called around 8:35 pm, and know that Yucaipa is a forty minute drive to Fontana. We appreciate the call letting us know that the service was running late. However, I know that the two deliveries ahead of my delivery, and the forty minute drive from Yucaipa to Fontana, will push my delivery closer to 10 pm. The delivery service seems to be more trouble than what it's worth. I'm glad I didn't pay the ten dollar delivery charge that was in my cart before I entered the promo code removing it. I do not think I will use this service in the future. I could have went to the store earlier in the day and had the groceries at a reasonable hour. I have wanted to try this service for a year, and now a year later, I know this is the last time. read more

I always come to pick up money from western union but either they will tell me "the system is down" or "I don't have enough money to dispense"... that's every time I come pick up money the ladies say that! Or sometimes I call first before I go to the location to save me a trip! And tonight same thing happened!!! Can't they report the system to western union if it's always giving them problems?! Duh?!
