I have been coming here for years when in the area! This would be my first time reviewing this location! Excellent staffing with courteous and helpful attitude! Couldn't resist the bouquet of yellow roses!! Had to purchase them for my hubby for a belated 45th anniversary! Purchased their signature to go cooler bag for only $5.99 I stopped a floor salesperson to make an inquiry and was immediately pointed to the right aisle! On our way to the register check out, the floor manager asked if we were doing okay found what we came looking for! Our item rang higher than what was posted on the shelf. I rarely leave negative reviews, but my recent experience returning a $34 item was frustrating enough to say something. The manager Cory's attitude was incredibly unprofessional and unwelcoming. his entire demeanor was dismissive and unhelpful. It's honestly baffling how someone with such a poor attitude holds a management position. If you clearly don't want to be there or assist customers, maybe you shouldn't be in a customer-facing role. Thankfully, the experience was turned around thanks to another male manager on duty who went out of their way to actually help us. He took the time to locate the receipt and process the return smoothly. Monica was very professional and kind through the whole experience. Searching for a place that's sells big packages of Chex mix for kids school party. This location only had one :( Flagged a gentleman in the aisle . He was willing to place an order for me, but sadly I need chex mix today. Other than that I was just perusing each aisles to see what they carry. Many party /bulk size plates and condiments. Wed. 11-17-2021 I normally do not like shopping at this S&F location, due to the tiny, crowded ailes, and the way the public trashes this store. Today however, I'm giving this store 5 stars due to the excellent service I received from 2 Superstars. I was doing business in the area, and I popped in for two particular items. Gaby helped me with a deli item in the refrigerated section. The item was out of stock and she answered all of my questions regarding the next shipment and supply chain challenges. I continued shopping, and Gaby found some of my desired item in the back of the refrigerated display. She came out and searched and found me so I was able to purchase what I came for! I needed this item for my KETO diet, and S&F still has the best price for it. Gaby gave me EXCELLENT, over-the-top Customer Service! Secondly, I found some items marked down in the canned goods and bought a bunch of them for my earthquake preparedness. I kept a running total as I shopped, so I knew how much I was spending. The system overcharged me. I pulled aside after checking out and refigured the total from my receipt. It was indeed off from the posted price. Adriana cheerfully went over the details with me and verified the overcharge after ringing up the people in her line. She called a supervisor over who approved the refund. I went to this store because I saw they had $10 off for $40 of frozen food purchase. I go and that promo is all over the store. I ask an employee if it's everything that is frozen or only select items, none of the tags say anything like this item eligible this not etc. She's like umm I'm new I don't know. Oh ok. I'm very considerate of the employee's and the people in line. I go to check out and before I get rang up I ask the cashier the same question, all items or select? It says it no where and another employee doesn't know. "Umm I'm not sure. It looks like you have all frozen so it should go through" she scans it all and no $10 deducted. She tells me it needs to be charged for the the $10 to come off. I told her it doesn't work like that and she said it did. So the receipt prints out and nope no discount. I'm like I keep asking for help and literally nobody can answer my questions. So she leaves the register to speak to the manager in a room, she comes back and says that each tag says if it's eligible or not. I'm like I read all that can the manage go back and show me those tags then? I've got time please let's go see that together. She says NO. The cashier Skyla and the manager both knew not true so refused. Then she starts getting upset and apologizing to customers for me taking up everybody's time. I told her I didn't want to and kept asking questions just to keep getting umm ehh idk answers. We finally finish and leave paying all full price and told her instinctly thank you when she handed me the receipt and she didn't reply she was so upset. To add to it most items in the store are missing price tags. I have to Google the item to get a price for it. Weights and Measures would have a good time there citing so much. read more

Wow, how the class of employees of this place has lowered. Unhelpful af. Stopped by with the wife to pick up a few items for Xmas dinner. I'd also forgotten my glasses, so luckily I've shopped at this store for years and was able to locate the items I needed. Well, except for a seasonal item, eggnog. So I asked a stocky gent with short hair who was stocking the milk isle if he could point me to the eggnog. He looked at me, shrugged his shoulders and pointed at the entire Isle saying he didn't know, maybe it was 'down there' somewhere. I know he didn't know I couldn't see, but really? So anyway, I told him I appreciated it and headed in the opposite direction to get my wife from another Isle, as she could see. Then, he calls to me back from the he Isle. I can't see him at this point, but I hear his hand hit the glass as he says "it's over here". Way to go on lowering the bar. Smart and Final, remove the Smart and make it Final! read more

But when a customer askes if the line is still open and she says no and then continues to take customers and then to top it off I asked again if she was open because shes taking other customers and then preceded to say "I said i would help you". This is one of their smaller stores, but it's clean and well stocked, save for a limited amount of fresh produce. Smart & Final has an excellent variety of frozen stuff and bulk meat deals. The help is friendly. Plenty of good parking. The only downside: the old rickety carts. They need to scrap half their fleet and get new ones. read more

A little over priced but if you find a time with deals, you can find some good deals. Also great for bulk items for big families.

Tell me why after spending $122 dollars online to be able to qualify for delivery, especially during this COVID-19 I cannot get ANY of my items. The picker of the store contacted me asking if she can deliver earlier than my requested drop off time. Minutes later she text me, they don't have the pizza I ordered. Then she text me again, no bread. Text me again no Tai Pei frozen food. Text me again, no hand soap. Text me again, no toilet paper. This is UNACCEPTABLE. How is it, that they made it readily available online, yet they start to gather my order halfway through the day and I can't have ANYTHING! I strongly believe those who placed their order online should be able to have their stuff prior to opening to the public. Now they have all my personal information including my credit card number. Then the girl questioned if I was still able to qualify for my delivery for the few little items that were left on my order. So damn stupid! Of course in the end I cancelled. This the closest location to work so I go here for convenience. The staff isn't friendly. The times I go during the week at lunch or after 5pm, it's not busy. Today the shelves weren't stocked well. The prices were high for frozen vegetables, and I bagged my own groceries. That's the worst in my opinion. I take my bags out before I get the total. The cashier waited for me to bag my own groceries and then I paid. That type of service made the line move slower. I won't be back to this location. I'll wait until the weekend and go to the location close to my house in Rancho Cucamonga. read more

Not one to leave reviews online as I'm not computer savvy. I usually talk directly to person in charge or manager but with everything going on i didn't want to take away from busy time. Came into the store and was very pleased with a young lady by the name of Erin, that not only acknowledged and welcomed us upon walking in but offered us help in the midst of the craziness. It's nice to see there is still people out there willing to give great customer service. Not just pointing to where something is that you're looking for, but walking us to it. Great job training team on teaching employees great customer. Keep up the good work. Store was will kept up and organized and everything in stock for what i came in for. To be fair that until their prices on meat went way high I was pretty happy with this store and to be fair the staff I have no complaint with, they treat their customers really well. My husband and I have three dog's and they are our children, we lost one of our beloved pets last year and her brother went through such grief over her loss he became ill with a disease call E.P. I. which affects the pancreas and to save his life he was put on a raw diet and that means quality beef. At first I was buying cuts of beef roasts at the regular market and then I found Smart & Final and found that if I bought a whole sirloin tip roast and butchered it myself then the savings were really good and to save the money I was willing to do the work. When I first bought my roasts they were selling for $2.37 a pound and that's a great price for beef and a roast would usually run me about $31.00 a week. Then it jumped up again and it went to $2.73, a lot higher but still better than the market but yesterday the roast I need are now $3.10 a pound and to me that's way too much. I think that the most sought after thing are these roasts and they sell a lot of them but now that they are so high you are going to see people start shopping back at their regular grocery stores and the little odds and ends that I always buy will now be bought somewhere else and it serves them right for being so greedy as to nail their customers. read more
