During checkout, I entered my phone number for the rewards/discount program while my items were being scanned. I believed it had gone through, but before paying I noticed the expected discounts weren't reflected in the total. When I asked the cashier, Myla (#0130), whether my number had been applied, she wasn't able to clearly explain whether it had gone through or what could be done. I was ultimately told the transaction would have to be completely redone to apply the discounts. I understand that there may be a store policy or system limitation, and I also recognize that I should have confirmed everything before paying. However, I think additional training on the rewards system and checkout procedures would be helpful. Cashiers should ideally be able to confirm whether a customer's number was successfully entered and clearly explain the options if there is an issue. This isn't meant as a personal criticism of the cashier or the store. We all have things to learn. I genuinely like Grocery Outlet and the value it provides, and I hope this feedback can be used as a learning opportunity to make checkout smoother for both employees and customers.

On Sunday, my father was approached by the manager, Vanessa, and told that he was no longer welcome at the store and that if he returned, he could be reported for trespassing. What is extremely concerning is that no one would provide him with a reason. Vanessa indicated that she was simply relaying the message. The security guard did not know why my father was being banned, and even a cashier who regularly sees him shopping at this location appeared surprised by the situation. My father later called the store seeking an explanation and still was not given a reason. This is very troubling to our family. My father is an elderly Hispanic man and a longtime paying customer. When someone is suddenly banned from a business without being told what they allegedly did wrong, it raises serious concerns about whether they are being treated fairly and respectfully. We are not asking for special treatment. We are simply asking Superior Grocers to explain why my father has been prohibited from entering a store he has regularly patronized for years. If there was an incident or legitimate reason for this decision, the company should be transparent and provide that information. Until Superior Grocers provides an explanation, our family is extremely disappointed with how this situation has been handled
