I'll be honest, I am not a regular shopper of Vons. Not because I do not like the market. It simply that I have numerous markets closer to my home. I will add that I have visited this specific store twice and I was impressed with the cleanness of the store and impressed by how well stocked this store was on both of my visits. The female employee i encountered during both of my visits was very friendly and professional and assisted me to locate exactly what I needed.

Vons (Covina) is reliable. The location is very clean. The prices are affordable. And staff is enthusiastic and diligent. Whenever I reflect on Vons (Covina), I immediately connect it with affordable prices. I also appreciate how Vons (Covina) consistently attempts to better itself. Compared to the past, current Management works much harder towards offering much fresher options. However, Vons (Covina) will always have that looming shadow of Stater Bros down the street. Also, this location's stock is limited at times. For example, today, I observed an empty Signature Select Soup section. Concerning check-out, Vons (Covina) is fairly quick and efficient. Staff works hard. Regarding ambiance, Vons (Covina) is very welcoming and comfortable. Its counters, floors, and shelves are extremely clean. I appreciate the bright, clean scent. Also, the air-conditioner is strong, so the location is chill and well-ventilated. The decor is not very memorable, but it's simple and pleasant. Overall, Vons (Covina) is a perfect example of a hardworking, typical grocery store. There's nothing unique, but there's warmth and charm to being just good enough. Vons (Covina) is a reliable choice. 4 out of 5

Expect long lines and over worked staff. This store has gone down hill in a big way. I dread going here every time I need something.

The center itself is a big shopping hub with plenty of parking. it's always bustling, but I swear, no matter how busy, you can always find a spot just maybe a little walk from the front. It's been a couple months since my last visit, and wow, they've added a fantastic new section right as you walk in on the right-hand side. Now, they have a cozy coffee and breakfast area! They brew fresh coffee and serve breakfast sandwiches from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. The prices looked super reasonable, like breakfast burritos or a cheese sandwich and I can't wait to try them, though sadly, I got there in the evening, so it was already closed. Next time, for sure! Of course, Sprouts is known for its fresh sushi, bakery, and their custom sandwiches. they really do a sandwich bar better than a certain big chain (cough, Subway). The price is about $5.99 or $6.99 with chips and water so it's a steal. My only gripe? They used to have this pesto sauce( my absolute favorite) and chipotle, honey mustard and it's gone! Now it's just mayo or mustard, which is a bit of a bummer. Management, if you're reading this, bring back pesto! Despite that, it's still a crowd-pleaser, always a line for those sandwiches, and for good reason. One thing I'm not a fan of is their fresh meat section. it's nice, but always overpriced. Whether it's chicken, salmon, or beef, I just can't justify it. Trader Joe's has better variety for less. On the bright side, their fresh produce is always top-notch, big sections, tons of snacks, vitamins, and even a great soap bar selection (I always grab a few). I got a roast beef sandwich on whole wheat it was divine and some fresh prepared salad and salmon for later. Plus, they have at least eight self-checkouts so helpful when it gets busy. They take all major credit cards, and I love that they have both big and small carts the smaller one makes navigating those aisles a breeze. All in all, a fun stop, and I'll be back. just, please, bring back pesto sauce for sandwiches!!

Hot food bar area is always stocked, and everything is nicely cleaned and organized from the produce section to all of the fridge items and cooking goods. Got some packaged super greens for my bearded dragon here and they have mustard and collard greens and the bundles aren't horribly ginormous like other places. Nice servable portions especially if only a lizard is eating it (you get to choose though so don't worry). Like the parking, it gets busy here, but workers are friendly and efficient.

The bathrooms are pretty clean and most of the prices are pretty reasonable. I do feel like some of the daily made food is a bit overpriced, but after 7pm, they do offer discounts. I do feel that the ambiance offers something very different than other markets as the store is usually decorated and generally feels clean, although it used to feel cleaner in the past prior to 2020. Always love visiting here from time to time, especially to get some sake. The size of this Tokyo Central is also a bit bigger than most others, but I do feel like other TC's are more modern and cleaner than this one, but you still can't go wrong here. Edit: I went today because I was in the area and the store feels much cleaner and they added a brand new sushi bar with a chef where the old anime stuff used to be. It's pretty nice and the store feels slightly refreshed. 4.5/5.

Larios Market was recommended to me by a wonderful fellow Yelper. You know who you are. Thank you!…read more I wanted to get guacamole, salsa, and chips for a team potluck lunch. I got rave reviews on these items that they are super good at Larios so here I am to confirm. This market is located at the corner of Barranca Ave and Arrow Highway in Covina. It's actually a meat market, but they sell produce and other food/dry items plus hot foods. It's a very small place with maybe 3-4 tight aisles. I went straight to the refrigeration area. I saw lots of different salsas and a handful of guacamole. At first glance, the appearance of the guac did not look appealing to me. It looked brown and kind of watery at the top. I was hesitant to get them, but since they were recommended, I got 3 of them. Now looking back, I should have only gotten one just to try them. It was not that great IMHO. Maybe they were not made that day and have been hanging around for a day or so. However, the roasted red salsa was really really good... I would highly recommend this one. Pico de gallo was decent. Crab ceviche was just okay... too much of the V8 taste. I ended up buying 6 containers and spent over $50 on guac and salsa. Probably more than I need. I didn't bother with the chips as they look more on the oily side. Anyway, staff was nice and helpful. Check out was fast as it wasn't super busy at the time. Parking is limited. They do have a few tables and stools outside in front of the market for those who want to eat here after their food purchase. I'm not sure if I would come back for the guac, but I may come back for the roasted red salsa and possibly their tacos and burritos.

So, I usually aim for a midweek visit, like Wednesday or Thursday because then it's just a bit more chill, and you can actually breathe in those aisles.
