If you find something there that you'd like to buy again - they check to see availability and order it often. This is my go-to location since it is relatively close to my home. I always run here if I really need something. Super convenient and easy parking! The prices are pretty good (especially when there is a surplus of some item) and I always check the expiration date on all the stuff I buy there. STUFF THAT IS ABOUT TO GO BAD IS ON SALE, GREAT THING AND CRAPPY THING. Okay- so I've heard about these stores and I had to see for myself. . It wasn't all that, but I definitely got a few good deals. Chicken jerkey, cheese, nuts, protein bars. I really inky came for Lilly's chocolate on sale (didn't find) but it was a fun little trip to see what was offered. I loved that some things were so cheap, but of course there is a catch. It's about to expire!!!! If you're going to eat all these cheeses so fast before the expiration date, it's worth it. If not, this store isn't for you Also, the employees are really rude and miserable, but I get that we are in a pandemic so I just try to let things like that, go. Will I come back? Eh, maybe. Every day I have come in the store, I've had a wonderful experience. I frequently buy the ground beef which is delicious and is usually located in the first lane I cruise through. I've never bought something too close to the expiration date because I'd need to freeze it and my freezer is currently full. Sometimes I bring my grandchildren and the staff is always so patient and kind in helping them choose a snack or dinner for us to prepare together. No wonder it's our go-to grocery store! Many college students come in and we've discussed how to use seasonings, prepare foods for a potluck, and how to make things taste like home. Their wine selection is well stocked and I've tried some new ones to add to my collection. The manager is helpful and has frequently pointed out lower prices on some of my favorite items! read more

I really underutilize grocery outlets-- they're fantastic and I need to start remembering that this place is a great option for cheap groceries and house hold goods. I was able to get brand name body wash and lotions for a fraction of the price that other stores sell these products. Cereals in particular are also super discounted. Surprisingly, grocery outlet carries name brand items for organic foods too like Annie's and Barbara's (puffins cereal). read more

I usually shop at the Duarte store which is always pretty well-stocked and the people are nice. However, the AZUSA store was on my way to work so I stopped there. I bought a 5 pound bag of Granny Smith apples that was advertised at this store selling for $3.99 & on their weekly flyer, but I was charged $5.99. I have been shopping at this store on citrus avenue for many months today was the first time that I ever asked to use the restroom and the employees told me that the restrooms are not available for customers I was very disappointed. I happen to be the hunter gather of the household, on any given day I'm searching for new places to find the goods to feed my always hungry family. I'd been to Grocery Outlet, a few years ago, to check out their wine. This time, I went for one main thing: cookies to accompany my newly instituted tea-time, thanks GBBS! I was a little disappointed with the selection of cookies, not gonna lie. But, as I wandered the aisles, I found an amazing selection of fresh produce, including all types of fruits and veggies, bagged and unbagged. Nuts, dried figs, dates (I bought giant medjools for only $3.99!!), almond butter, granola- those were all good prices. Now the caveat is, you must check the expiration dates. I don't think anything is on the shelf past the expiration date, but some were getting close. Also, I stuck to recognizable brands for the most part. They even have cosmetics and toiletries. Here are some deals I scored: real Scottish shortbread cookies, 99 cents !! (kinda made up for the small selection) 18 ct. organic large eggs $2.99 Q-Tip brand Q-Tips $1.99 Medjool dates $3.99 Living Salad $1.99 Quaker brand breakfast bites 99 cents I spent $18 and got a nice bagload of items that have multiple uses and lasting power, so that's good. Extremely rude manager. Product had incorrect price . The price tag matched the product but it was ringing up 4 dollars more but instead of trying to help me, the manager told me bluntly to just return the items and made it out like it was my fault for daring to ask if they can give it to me for the lower price because they made the mistake. I used to go to this store frequently, but not any longer. It looks like ownership has changed and it's just gone downhill. I had a not so great encounter with the owner of the store, Leslie, last month. She was truly unhelpful and rude, and even accused me of snatching my receipt out of her hand. Unbelievable! Some of the employees are rude as well. For a grocery outlet store the prices are no bargain either. It's really too bad because I've been looking for a new market to shop at. I am exploring vegan options and I have to say I have been impressed with their selections. They carry vegan almond cheese and some delicious tofu meatballs that I have not found anywhere else. The prices are reasonable. I came here to get beverages for a party and got a good deal on some of the drinks I chose. The selection of items is not as big compared to your larger grocery stores. For example I was looking to get juices like simply lemonade or fruit punch and I did not see any, so if you are looking for something specific I would stick to where you know you can find it. This market rotates their merchandise because they have contracts with specific vendors, so if you see something unique that you want to try get it because they may not always have it. read more

Store looks dirty inside and some items expired. Also their restrooms is closed due to covid precaution almost 2.5 years later. I think that's just lazy and their excuse to not want to deal with cleaning because if Covid reason was the case they would be wearing masks gloves and offer sanitizer at every checkout station. I've been going to the store since next door was Savon drugstore. The only reason why I love shopping at Smart and final, is because they have an employee by the name of Jasmine. Every time I come in with my wife, JASMINE always gives us such a lovely smile, and a greeting to die for. my wife Martha, will not go to any other store besides this one because of JASMINE. What I don't like about this store is, we come into the store in the night time, and she's the only one working the register, which is unsafe! This is truly a gem of a store. The owner and staff are super friendly. The very informed and friendly Alva the wine expert, is wonderful to deal with. We were shopping for a wedding wine and Prosecco, she was super helpful and accommodating. The prices and selection on wine are great. The other go to item is the coffee pods. Most other things are hit and miss with inventory, but always a good deal. It's a smaller store compared to other chain stores, which suites me just fine. I have been passing this little grocery store yet have never gone in for about 4 years. But finally today I went in and I am so impressed! First it doesn't smell that good when you first walk in, like cardboard boxes and onions. However don't let that deter you, because there are some serious savings in here. -They sell organic fruits and veggies. - the wild caught sardines that I usually buy at Sprouts for two or more dollars each were only $0.99. -I got almond and cashew milk for $2.50, and it's usually $3 elsewhere. -I also got cage-free brown eggs for $3.49 All in all I'm very impressed and I will be coming back here regularly especially since it's right by Citrus College and APU. read more

Located right next door to the 99 Cent Store (same plaza as Regency Theaters and Ross), took over the old Fresh & Easy location with plenty of parking. Grocery Outlet Markets seem to have popped up rather quickly this year. I really enjoy shopping at this Grocery Outlet Market (the closest to my home) that I came here 3 times in one week. This market has a good variety of produce, but I was unable to purchase ginger though or baguette bread (so if you are looking for more "exotic" or hard to find ingredients, you will most likely not find them here). The quality of the produce seems to be pretty good and prices in general are pretty cheap throughout the store. I was able to buy 1 dozen eggs for $0.99 and Chobani Greek Yogurt for only $0.59 each and Dannon Greek Yogurt as well. Service was friendly each time I have been here. Can't wait for the Grocery Outlet Market in my city to open this September. read more

Gonna keep this one short and sweet since I only visited Grocery Outlet once recently. I think I might've been here before once more, but that's it. So really, not much light that I can shed on for my fellow Yelpers. First off, it is located in a very convenient plaza near Alosta and Citrus, which is where I call "college town central" of Azusa. There's a lot of foot traffic nearby due to the university campus and its students, so businesses all flock to this area. Consequently, you get a huge parking lot for your parking covenience, and you can probably do a few things all in one trip if you need to pay Grocery Outlet a visit. Recently, I needed to get celery and carrots, and nothing else. So my goal was to get in, get them items, then get out. Upon entering, I see that the interior is brightly lit, clean, and tidy. Vegetable section was easy to find. I grabbed my two needed vegetables, and went back to the cashier. There was no line, great! They scanned them out, I paid them, and done! The entire process took less than 5 minutes. Yes, yes, yes. (Prices were reasonable, too.) Basing on this visit alone, it's a decent store. Will give it 4 stars until a more in-depth review is available. (Peace!) read more

I love this little grocery store. Everything I usually pick up at a regular grocery is discounted or at least competing. I go here for my good and reliable prices on produce. They have great brands at a discounted price. However, product is constantly rotating so pick it up when you see it. Great little store, to fill in the gap between "real" grocery shopping for me. A lot of off-brands that I don't know about. A bunch of items for a dollar or so, which have short expiration date. Apart from these super-bargains, I don't know if the vast majority items are exactly cheap, but if you have the time, then you can find some bargains that disappear. The prices here are extremely competitive, almost always cheaper than a regular supermarket for many regular items like milk, some veggies and orange juice to name a few(I just walked here for some milk and it was way cheaper than Vons!) I come here a lot especially because I need to get in and out with 2 little kids but the last few times I had issues with their employees giving wrong information that makes me want to go elsewhere. First time, the cash register rang up a different price than what was labeled but they didn't honor it other than to say they're sorry. Second, when I had to put back the items due to the wrong price I was stumped on what to buy as I wanted to use the coupon that was sent in the mail. The guy working there suggested that I get wine and that the owner was there and very knowledgeable. So the owner (super nice guy) suggests a few bottles so I go up to register and after all that, the cashier says the coupon cannot be applied to alcohol. Then why was it suggested to me by the employee when he knew I wanted to use the coupon?!?! Again, another "oh sorry" but I still buy it anyways since the owner was nice enough to help me. Now even with the above experience I continued to shop here multiple times a week because it's convenient and the owner was nice. But today's experience has prompted me to write a review and seriously consider taking my business elsewhere. Out of the few wines the owner suggested, I really liked one and went back and purchased 8 bottles as they were having a wine sale. Last night (Tues 11/7) I realized I was down to a few bottles so I started putting on clothes to go buy a case or 2 but it was 9pm so instead I called in to ask when the sale was until. The girl on the phone said it was until weds. So Just to clarify, I ask if I go tomorrow is it still 20% off. She confirms yes. Well I go in today and the signs for the sale had been removed. I ask a worker if the wine is still 20% off and she says no that it ended the day before. I tell her I had called in to ask and again.... another "oh sorry". Honestly this pissed me off so much as I made a trip out there and as a mom of a toddler and an infant that's not an easy thing to do. It's even more irritating when they just throw an insincere "oh sorry" every time they mess up. The owner seems like a cool guy but he needs to train his staff better. read more

I absolutely adore this market! First of all, every employee I've ever come into contact with has been wonderful. My favorite checker is Delann because she always has a smile on her face and genuinely seems to care about her customers. Prices here are very low and they have coupons every week on top of their specials, which is awesome. Sometimes there are things I can't find, but for the most part I can get a lot of my shopping done here for a fraction of the cost of a big super market. Also, every watermelon I've gotten this summer has either been bad or not sweet except for the ones I get from here. Their produce is good! I get their organic bananas every week, my kids love them. What I like about this store is you can get a lot of stuff for cheap and on top of the cheap prices you can use a coupon. Last time I had a coupon that was expired and the cashier gave me another one that I could use. It's a small store and they dont have a big selection. You have to check the expiration dates. Most stuff expires soon that's why it's cheap. I got tomatoes once got home opened them and they were molded. The cashiers here have been friendly with me.
