Trini is spectacular. I have a very short hair style and he has a knack for making me look up to date ! I enjoy the calm atmosphere in the salon as well. read more

I've been going here for years, since I first moved to phoenix. I even went to their original Location. I used to go to Alex, but when he moved to LA, he recommended Jillian and I couldn't be happier, she has great suggestions and always is willing to adjust if there's something that I'm unhappy with. read more

Hey guys. I got my hair done by TY. And I honest to God love it. I was really worried about getting it done with such a light and bright color cause I know the chemicals tend to change the texture of curls. Buut Ty did a very great job and it matches the color Id asked for really well. He was very polite and talked me through what he was doing as we went along. Definitely would go get my hair done here again . Extremely happy (: read more

VOLR Salon - I went from a mostly darkish brown to a vibrant pastel purple. - Hair Salons Near Me - Phoenix, Arizona

I have been going to see Ty for years and I will never see anyone else. I drive for over an hour to get to Volr now that I have moved from the area, and I never regret it. I get just a regular haircut (shaved low on sides, little longer on top) but I have seem Ty work magic with any and all type, length, and color of hair. He has no right being this ridiculously talented. I have seen him do incredible shades of color as well as insanely gorgeous updos in addition to more traditional styles of cuts. Most importantly for me is that he is genuinely nice and funny to go along with his talent. My bouncing and fidgety 7 year old adores him and he is always excited when I telk him we have an appointment scheduled with Ty. I cannot recommend him enough. The salon itself is crazy cool looking on the outside, and the interior matches. Clean with lots of space between stylist stations. I am always greeted when I walk in. They also have a ton of products, but are never pushy about them, which is a huge thing for me. All of their stylist are highly talented (but I still recommend seeking Ty out first!). read more

Francisco is not just a piece of eye candy, he's an amazing stylist. I came in wanting my brown/red hair transformed into something silver. I wanted to look like a supervillain from a Pixar movie and he nailed it! I've 'had my hair done' like this before and it was a multi-day process that left my hair feeling like a dry Christmas tree in April. Not this time. He explained everything despite me saying "yeah, you can't f it up so don't worry." In truth, it could have been f'ed up but it was f'ing fantastic when he was done. I was so excited I sent a pic to 4 friends while sitting in the parking lot and the overall response was "holy s$&t. That's fantastic." Trust me, they would have told me if they hated it. Now I've posted My new pic on Instagram, Grindr, scruff, Christian mingle, match and J-Date and they're blowing up. Seriously, great job! read more

Tye is the best hair stylist I have ever used. He is creative and consistent. He does both genders and works Saturday!

Went in on Tuesday and someone had set two appointments for the same time and it's two days later and Alex has not reached out to reschedule. The only outreach has been from me. Seems like bad business. read more

I was lucky enough to find Jillian, unfortunately she moved out if the country shortly after finding her. She referred me to Alex. Good luck trying to get this guy to call you back. Then I scheduled with another guy, but never saw him. I was stuck on a plane and could not make my appointment. I offered to pay for his time (cost of service) as it was my fault. He said no and gave me the impression I should not bother booking him again. I understand as everyone's time is valuable. After talking to Juillian, the most amazing human being, he suggested I see Lorraine. I got my hair cut, it was a little uneven, but it seems like that happens more than not, so I thought when I get my color, we can fix her cut and she can be more aligned with my expectations. My appointment was today at 11am. I show up at 11am to be greeted by Jullian. He tells me she is not in. I told him I was only a week post op (emergency surgery) and I would wait as long as I could. At 11:14, Lorraine walks in with her hands full. She doesn't acknowledge me, no apology, no "I will be right with you" "sorry", NOTHING! That was the straw! I left. I figure shqe needed a couple hours to think about her unprofessional and rude behavior. I wanted to love this salon so much, but it should not be this hard to have a relationship with a stylist. read more

Great haircut! Made my hair hold a curl which is always a struggle. Cute location too!

I followed Ty Taylor here from another salon, and drive 40 minutes one way for him to cut my hair. Would follow him anywhere, he's very skilled and always does a great job. But I also like this salon a lot. Everyone is very friendly, the salon is clean, and it has a very cool vibe. And whenever I call for an appointment, there is none of this "So when do you wanna come in?" business. Anyone who answers the phone is quick to tell me several of his available openings right off the bat so there is no guesswork. I really like coming here. read more

Lorraine is the best! I'm a fairly easy client since I don't color and just come in for cuts a couple times a year. But I have fine, stick straight hair and have had trouble before with stylists wanting to do tons of layers or try other ideas - never ends well. From the first time I saw Lorraine she knew the exact style that worked for my hair and I was so happy with it! I've been going back for a few years now and highly recommend her and this salon. read more

Ty did my first haircut here and I'm very happy! I asked for the "Kate Middleton", explained exactly what I wanted and he delivered. He even asked follow-up questions to make sure I got the look I wanted. Thank you so much! read more

I'm so glad I stumbled along VOLR. Today I went in for an appointment with Trini, the salon owner. He took his time listening to my previous hair experiences, where I felt other salons had gone wrong and even looked over my Pinterest board of hair-spiration. He talked through a few of them with me and we decided on a look, an ashy brown/blonde balayage. He went straight to work and was efficient. I hate sitting at a salon for hours upon hours. I was in and out within 2 hours...a record! As for the end results, I couldn't be happier. My hair looks better than the photos I showed him. I'm excited to show off my new look! Thank you Trini! read more

Stopped by for a quick hair style in August during one of the record breaking heat days in SF (who wanted to do their own hair). The hair dresser was very personable and hair knowledgeable. We had great discussions about San Diego and hanging out at the beach. The location is very clean and nicely decorated. The owners were professional, friendly and funny. The cost for a long hair style was affordable. read more

VOLR Salon - Hair Salons Near Me - Phoenix, Arizona

I moved to Phoenix from Boston area about 6 months ago and was in need of a hair dresser and I am so thankful I found Lorraine. First of all, I have a treatment-resistant form of alopecia which leaves me with massive bald spots on my head. Lorraine is not afraid to deal with my head and is a pro when it comes to styling my hair to hide it! Second of all, she has totally transformed my look! I've included pictures of before and after! I went in for a color and a cut the first time and she worked wonders! I've been making appointments with her every other month since! I highly recommend Lorraine. She's young, cute, friendly and speaks Spanish if that is needed as well! Also, her own hair is always styled to perfection so that's how you know you're in good hands! Thanks Lorraine :) read more

I discovered VOLR Salon because I followed one of their newest stylists Ruben from his prior salon. I was thoroughly impressed with the every aspect of the salon, design , comfort and most importantly friendly professional smiling faces. I brought my sister and girlfriend with me, so we were there for the better part of 5 hours. All three of us had completely different hair and Ruben rocked it with all of us taking his time to listen and add his opinion. The owner Trini approached me many times striking up conversation, asking me questions and couldn't wait to run his hands through my hair when Ruben was done ... how great is that! If I lived in the Phoenix area full time, there is no questions that I would be a faithful client of Ruben's and VOLR Salon. It is clear that not only does Trini have an amazing talent for hair and business sense, but when you have a happy staff on top of that ... you are a owner who treats your staff with respect and that shines through the minute you walk in the door! Oh yeah it doesn't hurt that EVERY man who works there is GORGEOUS! Sorry but I couldn't help but share that! Best of luck to the entire team at VOLR Salon! Ruben I miss you! read more

I was referred to Volr from a work friend & went to Jillian. She was amazing but moved to Europe. She introduced me to Ty & said he will do a great job, which he has. Great colorist & his cuts are right on, just amazing!! read more

I'm madly in love with the new, gorgeous VOLR Salon location on 7th Street. But the truth of the matter is if Trini was styling hair out of a shed, I'd gladly go there! Plain and simple...every time I leave his chair I feel happy and beautiful. Great vibe, great people and great service! read more

So thankful I found this gem in Phoenix! Over the past year I have spent many $$$ getting my hair fried and chopped by several stylists. It wasn't until I found Lindsey that I felt fully listened to and was able to leave the salon feeling like the best version of myself. The salon is so stylish and cool but not pretentious. Their hair color is pure magic and very gentle. They use the BEST products to wash and style my hair. Don't leave without getting the solid dry shampoo. I received a sample in my birchbox and it is a game changer! Thanks Lindsey for making me feel beautiful! I refuse to see anyone else for my hair needs!!! read more

Annabelle De La Torre is the GREATEST!! She gave me exactly what I wanted, when for so many years (not exaggerating) I have wanted my style and it could not be achieved. AND they had gotten me in the same day I called. Everyone there is so friendly and welcoming; beyond the greatest experience ever!! I will not be going anywhere else for now on. You guys rock! read more

This salon is amazing! Everyone is very kind and so talented. Ty is a hair mastermind with the ability to transform even the saddest mops into gala worthy glam. I have followed Ty from other salons for almost 30 years and still have a beautiful full head of to prove it! There is nothing we haven't done to my hair that he has not executed wonderfully. I have even converted my husband to trusting his luscious locks to Ty. Best decision of our marriage. Even if you aren't lucky enough to have Ty transform your tresses, don't stress, all the stylists are exquisite. If you have hair, you need to be here. read more

It's a made "hair" in heaven. Trini & I met through my previous boss. and we lost touch somehow. He's so good that he keeps growing his business. & then one day I got hungry & ran into him at a Pita Jungle. Since then for the last 1.5 years he has been doing my hair. I promised & made a vow I cannot and will not ever leave him again (well we didn't leave each other, just I lost touch) I purposely am his last appointment every time, so that we can catch up on our "novelas" in our lives and he makes my hair beautiful. I tell him just one color. and then my trust & faith is in him. He colors, highlights, cuts and styles. And Va Voom , Here I am "Queen Beauty". Highly recommended. He's funny, calm, and full of hair truth. Gracias Trini por todos y for saving my hair. - Sunny read more

Ty is amazing. Best hair I've ever had and I've sent everyone I know to him. He's accommodating and doesn't make you feel bad.

I found this salon because we needed two last minute haircuts. We were lucky that they were able to fit us in and the service was excellent and professional. They took care of what we needed and were very gracious and accommodating in some difficult circumstances we were dealing with. I wish that I remembered the name of the stylist that helped us but I don't. Without a doubt I recommend it! read more

I've had a great experience at VOLR each and every time I've visited. Jillian has done a fabulous job of cutting and styling my difficult-to-manage hair. She actually listens to what I ask for and then executes it perfectly. After many years of having stylists just do their own thing to my hair, this has been such a refreshing change! She is also honest about what she thinks will look good with my face/style - so I can bounce ideas off her and know that she's giving me truthful feedback. I was referred to Jillian by a friend of mine whose hair always looks fabulous and now I know why!! Lastly, I'll mention that parking at the salon is easy, and it's a beautiful and pleasant environment to be in...super comfortable and pretty, with a chill vibe. Very happy with this salon! read more
