boyfriend and i usually go to the Vivi in Quincy as i'm from Massachusetts and introduced him to this place. so we were excited to find out that they opened a new location in rhode island as he's from here. it's very bright and clean inside. it's located under ben and jerry's. they don't have a food menu like the quincy location but since we always get the same thing we didn't need to look at a menu. we got 2 orders of popcorn chicken, curry and garlic and an order of takoyaki and bf got a thai tea. we were very disappointed in the chicken. our order came out and the chicken was soggy, not very crispy. the takoyaki was also on the soggy and soft side, typically they're more firm and hold together well. they broke apart really quickly. we ate there and left with most of the chicken as we just didn't like it. we got home and boyfriend threw it up and we both got upset stomachs from it. maybe it was an off day for them but we don't think we'll be back. we'll stick with going to the quincy location from now on. read more

When I went to this place it was not a disappointment! It was pink and cute! The customer service was amazing, the workers were super nice! The place was super clean like the floor, chairs, tables, and bathroom. The drinks were delicious! The boba was soft and chewy. The cups were a decent size. There are a variety amount of drinks. There are also a variety amount of topping the you can put in your drinks too like boba, lychee jelly, and etc. The lids on top are super cute, and they are strong enough for the straw to poke through. I my opinion I think that this is one of the best places to get really good boba! The customer service was enjoyable and I think you would like it too. You will love the clean boba restaurant. The selections are great if you can read the tiny menu, the employee was not helpful with any suggestions, Especially paying $13.00 for two drinks that your not sure about, and I even indicated that it was my first time ordering. The interior of Vivi is very cute and inviting with ample space to come and hang out with friends. The workers are kind, the service is quick, and there are many different drinks to choose from. I have 2 main issues with Vivi: First, if the boba sits in the milk tea for a bit, it gets very soggy... so much so that you don't even want the drink anymore. Personally, I like my boba to have a bit of a bite to it; not too hard but not too soft. Second, their fruity teas are WAY to sweet... and I have a sweet tooth! Back in Hawaii, there are bubble tea places that allow you to adjust the sweetness of your drink and the amount of mix-ins or ice in it. Although challenging, this would benefit Vivi greatly for many reasons: 1. It would reduce the sweetness of some of their fruity teas. 2. It would allow non-boba lovers to enjoy a milk tea with minimal boba. 3. It would decrease the likelihood of a watered-down drink if the person orders it with a minimal amount of ice. read more

I ordered what I normally order every time I come in and all 3 drinks came out wrong.. I spoke to the manager (who was the one that made all 3 drinks) and respectfully asked if he can remake the drinks but he refused to. He also gave my friends a impression that he was annoyed with them when they had questions about the menu since it was their first time there and found his actions very disrespectful as I told them all nothing but positive things about this place prior. Very disappointed. Ordered signature fruit tea and told them I wanted no sugar. But the expensive drink turned out unbelievably sweet, that unpleasantly excessive sweetness. Ordered the Flaming Brown Sugar bubble tea and it was good but there was barely any creme brûlée on the top. The tapioca balls were good but the tea seemed a bit watered down. Overall, it was okay. Do NOT come here. There is a great boba place down the street to the left. I came here and ordered a boba slush with light boba and my partner asked for extra boba. They messed up the orders. Instead of asking them to remake both we asked them to just remake the one with extra boba so it was not half full of boba. This place is adorable - lacquered in bright pink and white with a cartoon sugar skull motif. I find it difficult to rate it, in fact, without using all manner of inappropriate swear words accompanied by stuff like "lit" and "af". Anyhow, yes: the decor is cute af and there's an extensive menu of interesting, exotic flavors encompassing everything from rich milk teas to fruits like longan and slush with aloe and jelly. You can choose your sweetness level and, as others have said, there's the advantage of the snack food over some other nearby places. Street food in Taiwan, where boba tea is supposed to have originated, is supposed to be the second to none...and Vivi tries to give you a little bit of that flavor with their popcorn chicken and takoyaki. Takoyaki is extremely difficult to get right, so I'll have to ask someone that's had it, but the chicken was excellent. It always seems to be jamming in here with people playing the board games and Jenga and just generally hanging out. Staff are friendly and smiling. The number of students who seem to be from countries where bubble tea originated or is super-popular help me also believe this is a model example of the genre. Visit! I am an avid bubble tea drinker! I drink bubble tea at least once a week. In providence I usually go to bubble tea house or kung fun tea for my bubble tea fix however, I came across VIVi bubble tea which is new! I am from NYC and I love VIVi tea in the city. However, after leaving bubble tea on thayer st. in providence, I am very disappointed to say the least. First and foremost the gentleman taking my order was extremely rude. He did not greet me with a friendly greeting like other VIvi employees do. In addition, he messed up my order completely. I asked for extra tapioca and he made my drink with no tapioca and extra sugar. When I pointed out his mistake instead of him making my drink over he just threw bubbles in a cup and then transferred the old (extra sweet) and threw the cup back at me m. For $5.76 to be exact they are overpriced and have subpar service. Being that I am an avid bubble tea drinker I will be back here to investigate to l see if anything changes. Came here last night to fulfill my thai tea craving. It was my first time at this spot, and it was of course packed because of the students starting school. I waited in line for about 20 minutes which was frustrating but what really topped it was when they were having problems with the card machine. They saw that I was waiting in line for almost 30 minutes at that point and didnt have cash on me, and didnt bother offering me maybe a free drink when I came in next time or at least a discount.
