boyfriend and i usually go to the Vivi in Quincy as i'm from Massachusetts and introduced him to this place. so we were excited to find out that they opened a new location in rhode island as he's from here. it's very bright and clean inside. it's located under ben and jerry's. they don't have a food menu like the quincy location but since we always get the same thing we didn't need to look at a menu. we got 2 orders of popcorn chicken, curry and garlic and an order of takoyaki and bf got a thai tea. we were very disappointed in the chicken. our order came out and the chicken was soggy, not very crispy. the takoyaki was also on the soggy and soft side, typically they're more firm and hold together well. they broke apart really quickly. we ate there and left with most of the chicken as we just didn't like it. we got home and boyfriend threw it up and we both got upset stomachs from it. maybe it was an off day for them but we don't think we'll be back. we'll stick with going to the quincy location from now on. read more

My go to for boba even if it's an hour away, love the honeydew boba. By far my favorite boba.

When I went to this place it was not a disappointment! It was pink and cute! The customer service was amazing, the workers were super nice! The place was super clean like the floor, chairs, tables, and bathroom. The drinks were delicious! The boba was soft and chewy. The cups were a decent size. There are a variety amount of drinks. There are also a variety amount of topping the you can put in your drinks too like boba, lychee jelly, and etc. The lids on top are super cute, and they are strong enough for the straw to poke through. I my opinion I think that this is one of the best places to get really good boba! The customer service was enjoyable and I think you would like it too. You will love the clean boba restaurant. I think you will love it there!!!! (If you want amazingly good boba tea, Great customer service, clean and spotless boba restaurant, and a cute place to eat or drink or take out. This place will be the best choice!) read more

This 5 star review is for their Taiwanese sausages! I haven't tried enough from vivi bubble tea to rate them overall (though I was quite pleased with my mango smoothie with tapioca boba) but I've now ordered the Taiwanese sausage twice and it is addictively delicious! I tried it because vivi is frequently featured as a doubledash option on doordash and I'm so glad I did! I can't wait to try their takoyaki as well. This place might specialize in drink, but don't sleep on their food-it is really good! Also, a small but nice little detail that shows me they really care about their customers-my food had my name beautifully and neatly written on it and spelled correctly, which is rare! Most places misspell my name lol. It's little things like this that show me they really put love into what they do. I would highly recommend this place and I love that in my location it is very frequently a double dash option so I can add their food/drinks with no extra fee. I will definitely keep ordering from here and look forward to trying more items from vivi! I rarely give 5 star reviews but I felt it was only fair given how delicious their Taiwanese sausage is, and how I haven't had a single disappointing order from them. read more

Lots of drink choices. Friendly staff. Bright, colorful, and inviting. I'm glad I stopped in here on my stroll around the city. I ordered the large mango tea with tapioca. The bubbles are made to perfection! Fluffy and soft just like I like them. The tea was not too sweet and had the perfect amount of mango flavor. read more

The selections are great if you can read the tiny menu, the employee was not helpful with any suggestions, Especially paying $13.00 for two drinks that your not sure about, and I even indicated that it was my first time ordering. I mean it wasn't brain science, drinks arrived. They were sweet I might add. However the sugar was Potent and was told only large size was offered. read more

Vivi is a staple business on Thayer. A great selection of classic milk teas and slushes. Also the creme brulee drinks are AMAZING! You can watch them light up the blow torch right in front of you. Great service too! :) read more

Really nice place with outstanding bubble tea. Their popcorn chicken is delicious, I highly recommend everyone to try it. The baristas are really friendly. Their also have a lot of board games and it's really nice place for you and your friends to chill. read more

The interior of Vivi is very cute and inviting with ample space to come and hang out with friends. The workers are kind, the service is quick, and there are many different drinks to choose from. I have 2 main issues with Vivi: First, if the boba sits in the milk tea for a bit, it gets very soggy... so much so that you don't even want the drink anymore. Personally, I like my boba to have a bit of a bite to it; not too hard but not too soft. Second, their fruity teas are WAY to sweet... and I have a sweet tooth! Back in Hawaii, there are bubble tea places that allow you to adjust the sweetness of your drink and the amount of mix-ins or ice in it. Although challenging, this would benefit Vivi greatly for many reasons: 1. It would reduce the sweetness of some of their fruity teas. 2. It would allow non-boba lovers to enjoy a milk tea with minimal boba. 3. It would decrease the likelihood of a watered-down drink if the person orders it with a minimal amount of ice. read more

Good bubble tea- highly customizable. Service was pretty slow but otherwise pleasant enough. The chicken was fairly priced- not as crispy as I was hoping for but still good. Will def be back for drinks as I had a Vivi near me where I went to college and have been missing it! read more

This place is very dirty and is sold out of everything. Highly do not recommend. The Takoyaki and popcorn chicken are not authentic. Having spent significant time in Japan and China, I would be able to discern what authentic takoyaki and salt and pepper chicken is. They are also sold out of bubbles very early in the evening. I would give them 0 stars if I could. read more

I ordered what I normally order every time I come in and all 3 drinks came out wrong.. I spoke to the manager (who was the one that made all 3 drinks) and respectfully asked if he can remake the drinks but he refused to. He also gave my friends a impression that he was annoyed with them when they had questions about the menu since it was their first time there and found his actions very disrespectful as I told them all nothing but positive things about this place prior. The worst customer service I've ever received in my life and he was so Rude! Not stepping a foot in there ever. Jason is a horrible manager ! Rating 0 stars only if I can! If anyone ever have issues with their drinks don't even bother going to the manager. Waste of Time ! read more

Very disappointed. Ordered signature fruit tea and told them I wanted no sugar. But the expensive drink turned out unbelievably sweet, that unpleasantly excessive sweetness. The (cold, unfriendly) explanation was they use syrup - no matter what sweetness level specified, it's still super sweet. So don't go if you are expecting a decent fresh fruit tea. read more

Would give zero stars if I could. The people were beyond rude, which I brushed off bc customer service sucks. But then they made my drink wrong and when I asked them to fix it they rolled their eyes and laughed at me... just not worth it for $9 a drink, I've had better service at McDonald's, save your $. read more

The manager messed up my order and I went back to get the right drink, I literally took one sip and he refused to make the drink I wanted. It was my first time and I had a question about a drink and the manager rolled his eyes and started huffing and puffing. This is the worst experience and I will NOT be going back. I paid money for my drinks and the manager had the audacity to argue with me!!! I wanted to give them zero stars but that's not possible. read more

Location is not the best, there is always this homeless dude hanging around near the entrance sometimes at the entrance. Nevertheless we are always here for their brown sugar milk tea which is very good! We also order their takoyaki, also very good. Fair pricing, cute cups! read more

Bubble tea here tastes like authentic Taiwanese bubble drink. It's so good and they have so many flavors! There snacks are the best too: popcorn chicken and takoyaki. read more

Ordered the Flaming Brown Sugar bubble tea and it was good but there was barely any creme brûlée on the top. The tapioca balls were good but the tea seemed a bit watered down. Overall, it was okay. I would maybe try a different flavor. I was sad to know that their machines for making food was broken. read more

The cutest milk tea store in Rhode Island!! A fabulous place to sit down with colleagues or friends to have afternoon tea times. Super love their Earl Grey Float, the cheese milk foam goes good with the tea and makes the float tastes more flavorful. read more

Okay so first of all I'm visiting Rhode Island for spring break and my aunt said there was a boba spot near her house so we went. I ordered the passion fruit slush and I was very disappointed. The boba wasn't prepared right and had a marshmallow consistency, I've had boba plenty of times at multiple places and this is the only spot that it was not good at. If your looking for traditional boba this ain't the spot read more

Do NOT come here. There is a great boba place down the street to the left. I came here and ordered a boba slush with light boba and my partner asked for extra boba. They messed up the orders. Instead of asking them to remake both we asked them to just remake the one with extra boba so it was not half full of boba. They said that we would have to pay for the remake and just laughed that they messed up the order. I literally never review a place. But that was incredibly rude and there is a very nice place with more options less than a block away. Go there instead. read more

This place is adorable - lacquered in bright pink and white with a cartoon sugar skull motif. I find it difficult to rate it, in fact, without using all manner of inappropriate swear words accompanied by stuff like "lit" and "af". Anyhow, yes: the decor is cute af and there's an extensive menu of interesting, exotic flavors encompassing everything from rich milk teas to fruits like longan and slush with aloe and jelly. You can choose your sweetness level and, as others have said, there's the advantage of the snack food over some other nearby places. Street food in Taiwan, where boba tea is supposed to have originated, is supposed to be the second to none...and Vivi tries to give you a little bit of that flavor with their popcorn chicken and takoyaki. Takoyaki is extremely difficult to get right, so I'll have to ask someone that's had it, but the chicken was excellent. It always seems to be jamming in here with people playing the board games and Jenga and just generally hanging out. Staff are friendly and smiling. The number of students who seem to be from countries where bubble tea originated or is super-popular help me also believe this is a model example of the genre. Visit! Again, this place is cute af! read more

I am an avid bubble tea drinker! I drink bubble tea at least once a week. In providence I usually go to bubble tea house or kung fun tea for my bubble tea fix however, I came across VIVi bubble tea which is new! I am from NYC and I love VIVi tea in the city. However, after leaving bubble tea on thayer st. in providence, I am very disappointed to say the least. First and foremost the gentleman taking my order was extremely rude. He did not greet me with a friendly greeting like other VIvi employees do. In addition, he messed up my order completely. I asked for extra tapioca and he made my drink with no tapioca and extra sugar. When I pointed out his mistake instead of him making my drink over he just threw bubbles in a cup and then transferred the old (extra sweet) and threw the cup back at me m. For $5.76 to be exact they are overpriced and have subpar service. Being that I am an avid bubble tea drinker I will be back here to investigate to l see if anything changes. I will give a new review upon my next visit! Fingers crossed read more

Vivi Bubble Tea - Bubble Tea Near Me - Providence, Rhode Island

This is actually the worst service I've ever received. Three employees standing around doing nothing. They could barely ring in an order and I watched as they messed up other's orders around me. Was second in line yet stood there for over 10 minutes waited to just have my order taken for a DRINK. The guy in front of me ordered 6 bubble teas so I threw in the towel and left. No help or apologies from their lazy staff. Unbelievable. Don't waste your time. read more

ok so i am a big bubble tea fan, ive been going to vivi for quite a while now and decided to write this review almost a year later. ive been to kung fu, bubble tea house and other regular japanese restaurants that sell bubble tea. i love to explore the taste and everything but nothing compares to vivi. their bubble is just something else, i love milk teas so thats what i get here everytime i go. their bobas are super soft and chewy. they have a huge variety of toppings to choose from. not only that, they sell popcorn chicken and takoyaki which also taste great!!!! if youre confused on what you should buy here, get their regular bubble milk tea, or try oolong milk tea if you wanna surprise your taste buds. read more

We ordered 3 large drinks and were charged $23. We were given two large drinks and a medium drink made incorrectly (sorry, don't like beans in my tea). Don't bother trying to explain to them that they did something wrong because the employees will just argue with you that you ordered what you got. Also - on a busy night sticking someone at the register who clearly has no idea what they're doing just to make mistakes and have multiple pissed off customers. Save your money and give it to an establishment that gives you WHAT YOU PAY FOR and doesn't employ people who like to argue with customers. Never coming here again. read more

I'm so love the fruit tea here! And the popcorn chicken is juicy. It's going to be a good match with the bubble tea!

Vivi bubble tea is absolutely great. I started with their pop corn chicken then fall in love with their tea. I personally suggest the green tea slash with boba. I tried the taiwanese sausages that is my new favorite on my list. Recommended to try out. read more

Came here last night to fulfill my thai tea craving. It was my first time at this spot, and it was of course packed because of the students starting school. I waited in line for about 20 minutes which was frustrating but what really topped it was when they were having problems with the card machine. They saw that I was waiting in line for almost 30 minutes at that point and didnt have cash on me, and didnt bother offering me maybe a free drink when I came in next time or at least a discount. I ended up waiting in line for 40 minutes for a watered down thai tea. Not worth it. read more

I love ViVi's bubble tea!! My favorite is their fruit tea aloe (it comes with aloe chunks as a topping!) I also love their popcorn chicken, especially the curry flavor. The workers have been super sweet and always give good recommendations whenever I don't know what to get. read more
