This place is a GEM! Their service is A1, they're prompt & attentive…read more Their bubble tea is really good and flavorful. My usuals are: Thai ice tea, taro, coconut or the mango green tea. I switch between milk tea or slushie. I must say, their bread isn't as crusty as most banh mi places but I think that's what makes them stand out. It's a little softer but if u need that extra crunch, ask for it to be toasted AFTER it's made as well. They also have other goods like Shrimp rolls, egg rolls and crb rangoons! U can buy those right from the display case. The food I always fresh!

We've been here many times and it was good, but were pleasantly surprised to find out that it is better!! In my experience, restaurants are generally broken down into 3 categories as time passes: maintain quality, lower quality and improve their quality. Most are in the maintain quality camp, but I will give them a round of applause for getting better. The food: the Bahn Mi bread had a crispy exterior while having a soft center. The veggies were super fresh and flavorful. Everything came together perfectly! The Vietnamese Iced Coffee was bold, sweet and very craveworthy. The staff were very nice and theres definitely room to eat inside, but I wanted to take these back home so I can make an absolute beautiful mess of the crispy, flakey Bahn Mi Bread. This spot used to be a 3 stars, but amped up to a 5!!!!! -ODL Connect with me! IG & YouTube: @AOEAT

Gong Cha in the Providence and Cranston area is a boba tea shop that operates with the…read morecustomization options the chain is known for. I walked into a space that was clean and well kept, with a couple of tables and some board games available that gave it a slightly more social feel than a purely grab and go setup. The drink customization here is genuine rather than performative. Sugar levels and ice levels are both adjustable, and the staff actually followed through on my specifications, which is not universally true at boba shops that advertise the same options. I ordered the wintermelon milk tea, and it was a strong choice. The taro with black boba and milk foam, brown sugar bubble tea, and the strawberry milk tea are all consistent options that represent what the kitchen does well. The boba pearls are cooked in house, and the texture reflected that, with a chewiness that held up through my drink. This location reflects an average Gong Cha experience, and it does it well. For a reliable boba stop in the area with actual customization that works, Gong Cha delivers.

They have a huge variety of flavors, and everything is delicious. I'm a big fan of milk tea with boba, and mine was super flavorful and really filling. The portion sizes are definitely worth the price. They also offer plenty of options, including regular teas and slushies! Location: It's located in a plaza with free parking, and the shop itself has a modern yet casual vibe, making it a great grab-and-go spot. Service: The service was quick and efficient, and I love that they also offer online ordering!

5 Stars for a great strawberry matcha latte and phenomenal cappuccino…read more This coffee and matcha shop has so much more to it than a typical coffee shop. It has a ton of Japanese treats in the fridge as well as shelves. They also have a bar and sell wine and fun cocktails. They brew Bolt coffee (a local brewer and coffee shop) and make a truly exceptional cappuccino. Like, really really good third wave style espresso drinks that I've not found at other shops in Providence so far (two week visit). I was initially worried their iced strawberry matcha latte might be too sweet, but that was fortunately not at all the case! It was balanced and mild. Just be sure to stir it up! They also have some pastries and baked goods from Seven Stars Bakery, and we thoroughly enjoyed a small lemon cake. We'll likely be back in our last few days in town because we became quick fans!

I like the branding, brightness of the cafe, and the fact that there's a decent amount of seating. I got the Iced French Vanilla Espresso Latte + Espresso Teddy which was well-made, bold, and enjoyable. I think the Espresso Teddy is actually made with cold brew and not espresso which I expected given the name and would have preferred. Nonetheless, I did enjoy the slow melt and the boost of caffeine I got as I kept sipping. And it's super cute! The Iced Mont Blanc was also a good try; the sweet orange flavor was subtle and surprisingly enjoyable adding a bright taste to each sip. If I'm ever back in Providence, I would totally come back and maybe try their matcha drinks.

I tried the Pu-er milk tea and if you like Hojicha, jasmine, or any earthy tea, this one is for you. It has almost no caffeine, which was a plus for me. The boba was delicious, and my friend enjoyed her jasmine milk tea. I'd recommend this spot though it seems to be the only boba tea shop I could find in the downtown area. Parking downtown is atrociously expensive, so good luck.

Rating: 4.5 I've…read morebeen meaning to try this place for a while but decided to try because i passed by and was in the area. It's a small tea shop in providence that offer toppings such as boba and sides like taiwanese chicken. They offer different tea toppings like boba, crystal, jelly, ..etc and also sweetness, milk substitute and ice options. Parking is street parking only and can be difficult to find during busy time. Inside is nicely decorated and has good aesthetic. Seatings are limited so I would not expect to find one unless you are lucky. I guess the name of the place is derived from cha which means tea in Chinese and Daruma who is a founder of zen Buddhism. They have a mascot who looks like Buddha holding a bubble tea. I ended up ordering black milk tea with boba and taiwanese popcorn chicken with seaweed and salt/pepper. Tea came out right away and was pretty good. Good tea flavor but maybe a bit too sweet. Boba is home made and its nice and chewy and no inconsistency. I would do 75% sugar and less ice next time for my liking. Taiwanese popcorn chicken was juicy and flavorful. We also got lucky with seating so we sat down to enjoy their food and drink. Service was good and no issues. Overall the place is pretty good. I think everything was good quality and definitely one of the better tea/fried chicken place around RI. If it was in more convenient location I would definitely come back often but I would likely only stop by if I'm already around the area. I did like the place.
