Of course we had to get a sweet treat after lunch so we went to Vivi since we were already on Thayer St. Great decision because we really enjoyed the Taro Crème Brûlée milk tea, which had well-cooked boba, real taro paste that led to strong taro flavor, and just right amount of sweetness. You order on a kiosk, service was fast. Ambiance is cute; they have games and books to hang out with. 10/10 would recommend! read more

When you walk in, the ambiance is so welcoming and adorable! The lychee slush was so thirst quenching and tasty! Nick had the Flaming brown sugar milk tea and 2 Asian sausages! He said they were both very good! Highly recommend but note, if you use the kiosk upon entering you may not get the other types of drinks that are available at the counter! read more

We had the bubble tea, it was pretty good. Not too sweet, it was made well. The customer service was great and it's a nice little environment. There's a bookshelf, some places to sit and there's a beautiful cherry tree you can take photos in front of. read more

We passed by quite a few different vivi bubble tea during a hot sunny weekend in Boston over labor day weekend. Vivi quenches our thirst and hit the spot. Hubby is not into boba, but enjoys a fruit tea with bubbles, lychee jelly, and aloe jelly. It ends up being almost $10 but hey when you're on vacay gotta splurge a little bit. It's too bad we found out about Vivi now that the SGV location is closed. Hope they will open more branches in LA soon! read more

This is in a kind of in a basement and it's a tiny little space that has more room in the back than you would think, sort of like me. This is clearly one of the more popular Boba shops in the very clustered area near the colleges in Providence Rhode Island, and it's one with extremely friendly patrons and even friendlier employees, who were extremely nice to me, and even made me an off-the-menu drink, which is both unusual for a Vivi (less than half of them will do that) and extremely appreciated. Because of that, it's one of my favourite Vivis in the whole country. Their fruit tea options are actually not bad at all. I'm a fan and I appreciate that. I'm not a big fan of the milk tea but then I'm not a big fan of your mother with her clothes on. Besides, the locations that make Brown Sugar Milk Tea make it actually really yummysly. So go write this down on your CV That you love the Boba at Vivi And although it tastes fake You love it more than Drake Is loved by some rando named Kiki read more

This is by far, the worst Vivi location I have been to. I am from Massachusetts and those Vivi locations are way better, in terms of where it is in the building, its interior vibe, and even service. This Providence location is in a basement area. It doesn't feel inviting inside. The ordering and the drink prepping is slow and they didn't ask for sugar and ice levels. We got the kumquat lemon with aloe. It is what I typically get in Massachusetts. At least it tastes similar at this location. Overall, if I must boba in the area, I would stop by a spot called Ceremony. It seems like they squished a Vivi location over here just to dig at the college students in the area. Hope that helps. read more

W's of Vivi's: - pretty in pink: perfect for when you wanna treat your tastebuds in a bright bubbly environment! -board games: it's a great way to bond and get to know someone over a tower of Jenga or catch up with friends as you frantically play Hungry Hungry Hippos - seasonal watermelon slush with popping strawberry bubbles: This is heaven-sent; I'm gonna miss it so much after the summer ends -popcorn chicken: tasty with a nice crunch; they have a variety of flavors to pair with your drink -loyalty punch card: order 10 drinks, get your card stamped, and get the 11th drink free! L's of Vivi's: -I don't really count it as a place to study- there's cafes and other bubble tea places nearby where you can definitely be more productive -90% of the time that I go, they already ran out of popcorn chicken :( -the watermelon slush is not sold all year (time to cry) -some of the drinks are still super sweet even after you reduce the sugar content, but that's why you take risks and try new things you think you might like! read more

One of the better vivi's in the RI area. Got a large Passion Fruit slush and a large Mango slush and both were delicious! I ordered on the kiosk as there was only one worker there and she was busy making drinks. She was very fast making my drinks and they were the best I've had from here so far. Will definitely come back! read more

She's cute. You don't go to Vivi for the drinks. Tryna play games? Want to look pretty in pink? This is the place for you! In comparison to other milk tea places, she's alright. There's not much that's special about her. Most drinks are on the sweeter side, would definitely recommend getting 50% or 30% sugar. As far as drinks go, would say that I prefer KFT. read more

Former smoke shop, this space has been transformed into Vivi Bubble Tea. After you walk down the stairs of Ben & Jerry's, you become immersed in this cozy pink space. It feels like you're in a cute little bubble tea shop in Taiwan, but it's actually Thayer Street. Their trademark is their Bubble Tea, but the reason why Vivi gets such a high review is because of their options. In addition to their awesome drink (Blue Galaxy), they offer sweets and "the best popcorn chicken in town." I'd recommend for a place to come with friends and play Jenga with. read more

So coming from Boston I really love boba, the Vivi's in Boston isn't nearly as good as the one in the Providence location. Recommendation: I highly recommend the Flaming Brown Sugar Milk tea if you want a milk tea base or Flaming Brown Sugar milk which is made with lactaid milk. Cons: The reason why I give a 3 is because on numerous occasions they've messed up my order. They have once filled boba to half my cup which didn't help when I asked for a drink and not a boba meal. They're really nice as well if you don't like your drink you can ask them to remake it so don't be shy. I've watched a worker add ingredients twice because they got occupied with other tasks or didn't remember the recipe. read more

Pretty standard bubble tea. I ordered a Large Mango Tea with Mango popping bubbles. It came out pretty quickly! The sizes are definitely much smaller than a standard Large. The tapioca itself is very soft, way more soft than it is chewy. The tea itself is pretty good, not too sweet. Overall, this isn't my go-to for bubble tea--it is more expensive than other boba places. read more

I went in during a day when there was a long line & there were only 2-3 people staffed. 3 stars because the popcorn chicken I ordered took about 25 minutes to come out and it was on the pricier end ($6-7 for a small bag). The wait time was understandable because of the limited staffing and the number of requests they all had to fulfill on their own, but it was a much longer wait than I expected it to be. That being said, the popcorn chicken was delicious and I'm glad Vivi's is around to help with my occasional cravings. read more

Very bright and clean inside, with a restroom for customers that was appreciated. There were several tables of friends playing Jenga and another board game. Their food looked good but I was here because I was craving Thai Milk Tea with bubbles. No interest in anything else. The tea was nicely sealed, so first impressions were good. The color was a touch more orange than I expected, and the tea flavor was a teeny bit lacking, but it was good. My tapioca bubbles also were good, but not the best I've had. Decent number of bubbles, but I think j paid extra for them so that's to be expected, right? This was a good drink even though it didn't wow me. I'll definitely be back to try again - and may do a side-by-side comparison with Kung Fu Tea just around the corner. Lucky me! read more

Had their Pinapple Mango Jelly Tea. They were generous with the jelly, but it did not have a lot of flavor. Ice and sweetness are fixed as they blend it. It met my needs, but was strange to hear it was fixed. It was nice to not have to order by Kiosk. read more

This place was great!!!! Definitely will be ordering from here again. I ordered this with my friend on Uber eats. It was easy to find and had a fast ETA, and pretty low prices. So we both took our chances and ordered the same thing - a jasmine honey tea (flavored tea) with tapiocca (boba). I've never tried a tea like this - only the rice milk teas - but it was incredible!! The taste was so light and delicious. The boba went so well with the jasmine honey flavor. I would definitely order this again! The delivery was SO quick - we only waited about 15 minutes before the delivery person was on their way. They arrived quickly; we had the tea within 25 minutes of ordering it, maybe less. I've never had delivery time be that accurate on Uber eats. The person who delivered it was very nice as well. They have SO many teas to pick from and different menu items to try in general. You should easily be able to find something you lIke here - give it a shot. read more

Wait in line for 10 minutes only to be told they don't actually have boba and we're also told they don't do slushy bubble tea but yet they put ice in mine (can't crush it?). Then the people behind us, when they ordered, they were told that we they have clear bobas for their teas. I'm also honestly not sure why anyone will go here over Kung Fu tea which is way better and has a lot more options. read more

Bright and funky interior, but not my favorite bubble-tea in RI. Dropped by yesterday to try this place, and my Taro slushy was made into a Taro milk tea that I couldn't drink. I am a bubble-tea snob and usually only like the slushies made with real fruit, so if that's not a concern for you, then you'll like this place. I think if you're looking for an authentic Taiwanese bubble-tea experience, vivi is for you--but we wanted americanized bubble-tea I suppose. I threw out my taro milk tea with tapioca balls, and so did my friend who got a passion fruit tea (it was actually bitter). Three stars goes to their lychee slushy. It was good and tasted like the bubble-tea we get at Tutti Frutti--nothing really memorable, but we could actually drink it. I'm disappointed because I wanted this to be my spot. I'll probably try them again just to see if maybe it was the one bad experience. read more

What a cute shop! I ordered the large Blue Galaxy drink and it was cool to see all the colors in the cup. (There was also a slice of lime in it which made it super citrus-y) Friend had the Japanese green matcha slush and said it was fine. The interior design of the shop itself was so cute. I love how there are games to play while you wait for your drink to be ready. I recommend this place if you want a light drink/snack and want to hangout for a bit. read more

For all the tea snobs out there, bubble tea is not for you. Why? Because unlike tea that serious obsessed tea drinkers drink (trust me, they're even more obsessed than the 3rd wave coffee snobs out there), bubble tea/boba is not really just Tea, it is Tea Dessert. No one in Taiwan would confuse the two b/c they're two different things entirely. Therefore I have minimal expectations for a bubble tea shop: 1. serves bubble TEA and 2. serves BUBBLE tea. Vivi Bubble Tea does both consistently well. It serves boba tea drinks that taste like tea and boba that tastes like boba. There's a reason why Vivi Bubble Tea is a successful franchise all over NYC and growing. It promises Taiwanese style bubble tea and it delivers Taiwanese style bubble tea. The fact that you can choose sugar levels and play hungry hungry hippos while waiting for your drinks/snacks to come out quickly in a new clean space is just a bonus. Finally, a boba shop that passes muster for me in PVD. It's about time. read more

My new favorite bubble tea place in Providence! Very friendly staff and a large variety of drinks. They also have fried chicken which is worth trying. What bubble tea dreams are made of! Best bubble tea spot I've been to thus far. Wide range of flavors and things to try off the drink menu. This place was jumpin' when I walked in which spoke for itself. I ordered a black milk tea for myself, almond milk tea for hubby, and the galaxy drink. I like that they cook their boba til it's soft, some places have al dente boba balls w/a bite to it. The drinks also aren't overly sweet like some places where the sugar steals the taste of the beverage. The galaxy had a citrus and lychee flavor which was good. I like the design and well lit vibe of the place. A lot of games to play as well and the staff kept the line moving. Service was quick and to the point. I'll def be coming back here to try everything & Dragging the hubby & baby along with me. read more

My go-to is the Peach Aloe tea with 30% sugar. My toppings are typically firm and I like the peach flavor, so good :)

Vivi please do something with the door dash menu. Popcorn chicken can only be found If it's typed in the search box But when try to add into the order, it says item not available. Trying to put in requirement for 3Q milk tea., One of the requirement asking whether I want basil, curry, spicy, garlic etc... Why would I want flavor like this in my 3Q. New drinks like the grape float or coffee jelly milk tea is not on the menu with door dash. Vivi told me to speak to door dash about the menu saying some customers able to see it while some customer can't. Isn't this the job of Vivi? I love Vivi but I am really upset that unless I go all the way down there, I am not able to get some of those that I enjoy. read more

New to the area and was looking for a new boba place! So glad I stopped here and got the Tiramisu Cloud Slush! The slush wasn't too icy at all and was really pleasant to drink. Disclaimer: I'm from Boston and am very spoiled by the number and quality of bubble tea places available. That being said, I saw kumquat lemon tea and made a mad dash for the door. I physically paused at the door because it looked like a cupcake shop that was trying too hard. But the kumquat siren drew me in. Service was fine. Not particularly friendly, but not unfriendly. I watched the making of the drink and the cashier dropped in a salted kumquat, sugared lemons, chia seeds???, and my idiotic request for herbal jelly. Who gets herbal jelly with a citrus drink? Me, turns out. I watched as another girl squeeze what I imagine is concentrate into the cup, then some tea. Shake it up in the good ol' shaker, slap on a fancy plastic top and voila, the most nauseatingly sweet, most expensive, texturally confusing drink I've ever had - and I love me some three-colored ice! Additional downside: I did not specify a size. Rather than ask, the cashier defaulted to a large. Not cool. Additional additional downside: It was $6+. They don't cost that much in Boston, where it's even more expensive to rent a space! read more

I have ordered milk tea many times here and the drinks were all good but yesterday I order a taro mochi milk tea, the staff said they didn't have mocha anymore. Then I ordered a roasted oolong fresh milk, however the roasted oolong milk had way too much tea in it! It is different from the roasted oolong milk I have ordered before at Vivi bubble tea! The tea: After trying several bubble tea spots in Providence, unfortunately this one was the worst. The taro bubble tea was very watered down and did not have the rich taro flavor I was hoping for. The boba was also a bit hard and not the soft chewy delicious it should be. The space: Nice spot on Thayer with easy seating. Wish they had some more comfy chairs though. The service: Takes a bit longer than expected but friendly staff. read more

I want to really like Vivi, especially with the partnership it has with Snackpass, an app I use religiously for scoring deals and discounts through mobile order and pick-up. But, there's something about the bubbles in the milk tea that aren't quite right. They just don't seem to have the chewiness and subtle sweetness that their competitor, Kung Fu Tea, puts in their own tapioca bubbles. Still, I feel like you get a better bang for your buck than KFT, as the sizes of Vivi's teas seem larger, and the original black and milk teas taste all right. I thought their Thai milk tea, even at 30% sugar, was too sweet, and their Japanese Matcha green milk tea had a strange flavor. KFT is still #1 in my heart, but I will still make some stops at Vivi now and then for its fun atmosphere and Snackpass affiliation! read more

At long last, we have a decent bubble tea shop in Providence that is closer to what I grew up with in California than any other place. It's also uber cutesy Asian so you get the full experience! The test lies in the quality of their tea, and I am impressed by the robustness of the tea taste. For instance, Kung Fu Tea nearby tastes like a watery mediocre mess. I am and always will be just a plain jane Iced Milk Tea (Green, Oolong or Black) girl, and am happy I can get my fix here. I love that the level of sweetness if customizeable. read more

Bubble tea options that range from cool and refreshing to warm and frothy. Are the bubble tea options necessarily better than competitors in the vicinity, namely KungFu Tea? I wouldn't say so, they are equally good. But there are several things that set Vivi apart, which include: 1) Listing calorie ranges for their drinks (ranges because you can adjust added sugar and toppings). 2) Food options! Popcorn chicken with 5 flavor options (have tried salt & pepper, spicy) as well as tako yaki (haven't tried yet). 3) Board games! They have board games, cards, and and Jenga, making it an even more social atmosphere! 4) Rewards card - 10 drinks and 11th is free.
