I was basically ignored for about 45 minutes until someone opened the door and said oh, I didn't know you were waiting. They apparently lost me in the system, and no one came to do my eye exam. On a positive note, I was able to order glasses that worked out very well for me so I'm offering a mixed review.

Went in for an eye exam, and it was an extremely smooth process. The doc was extremely knowledgeable and even explained certain things about my eyes that no one has ever taken the time to do before. Other experiences I've had were all about getting you in and out as fast as they could, but not here. He took his time to explain what he was doing and why. I like that in a Doc. When I went to pick out my frames, my better half was not with me, and I typically always ask for her approval on something I liked. So, I went off the recommendation of the employee helping me (didn't grab his name). I tried several pairs on, and he said there was one that popped. Which was good because I liked it, but wasn't too sure. He said it was a a perfect fit and style for my noggin... so I went with it. Of course got all the upgrades, and let me tell you... I can't count on my toes and fingers, and yours too on how many compliments I got on these Holbrook Oakleys!! People loved it, my wife loved it, more importantly... I loved them! Overall, for my first experience with this place, it was a pleasant surprise and I found myself not dreading an eye exam and hunting for something I never am really satisfied with- until now. As always, Enjoy & Happy Sight Seeing!

I like that you can set up appointments online instead of waiting for receptionist and doing verbally. Not in network with VSP.

I had my initial eye exam on 11/2023 and got a new contacts and glasses prescription from them. After a couple weeks of wearing the new contacts my eyes started being super sore and burning so I went to see an ophthalmologist who told me that my contacts are not fitting correctly and are irritating my eyes. I Emailed Dr.Long and asked for another consultation to fix the original prescription, they said they'll review the ophthalmologist's notes and get back to me. Then I was completely ghosted by them even after follow-up Emails (For context, I emailed on 1/5/24 and the posting date of this review is 1/24/24, no response so far). On top of that, both the receptionist and the doctor sounded very rude and condescending on the Email, basically suggesting that it's not their fault and not taking ANY responsibility for my care. I had to go see another optometrist after these people ghosted me for two weeks, and was told that the prescription I got from SODO vision was overcorrecting my vision, which caused my eyes to be exhausted and overly irritated. If Dr. Long had me come in right away and been responsible about my care, it would've taken less than 2 days to resolve the issue. But because of their lack of communication and irresponsibility, my vision issues dragged for 2 weeks and I lost over $400 in office visit fees and ordering the wrong contacts and glasses. I literately stated in my Email that I don't care whose fault it was, I just wanted my eyes and vision to get looked at and get better. But their failure to provide me with adequate care and communication was extremely unprofessional. I strongly suggest you find someone else for your care.

I had eye exam here once and another time for check up cause I had an allergic reaction and my eyes were red and puffy. The first time there for the eye exam I was on time (few mins early so they are not even open yet, but it took them 45 mins to finally see me after I finished all the paper work. It took longer than I expected and had to get to work later than I assumed. It was not decent already but the front desk clerk clearly was annoyed by everything. Second time was better since it's different front desk person. however the long wait is just... making me ask why. Especially I had eye exam elsewhere and it's usually just 5-10 mins wait for the doctor to get ready for my case. I assume you have prepared to meet me as I scheduled the appointment weeks before? Oh and I heard doctors and staffs just chitchatting in the hallway while I'm waiting???? The second time there my eyes were hurting and really want to get it fix soon, so hearing yall back there laughing was pretty bad. Fast forward to this week. I called to try to schedule an eye exam and got to their voice mail. It was around 3PM so I understand maybe they were having patients and was busy. They didn't call back that day, instead, took them one full day to finally call me back at 4PM next day. Not in the morning nor afternoon...Actual 25 hours later. It's not a Monday call, yet took you full day to call back an existed customer. The lady on the phone is nice but you can tell she's not good at phone calls. "huh?" a couple times and was very slow. Um. Hire a person that knows how to answer phone calls? No thank you. After that, I immediately called another place I went to 3 years back and they actually answered my phone call right away and got me scheduled in a 2 mins phone call, and texted the time and date of the appointment to me after. That's true customer service right there!!! This place is SO WEIRD. The whole vibe is just weird and not professional. It's a place for slow service and not updated system. I understand they are older people, but doesn't mean as a professional provider, you can still use your 70s system and think it's ok. Took them way too long to call back and even scheduled it will take so long for you to get an eye exam. Bye bye forever. I am not going back to waste my time. Not everyone is retired and have so much time for a full day off eye exam. I hope they can improve their systems and work with a happy yet not fully relaxing vibe, as if patients is not important and they can chat whenever they can.

She left my little eye shop and I fear the dr's that are left are not the best. Mid April my 17 year old daughter went to see her on her own (I'd had surgery and couldn't go) Dr Ahmed gave her a script and I took her two weeks later and paid and other $100 for new lenses to be put into her existing frames. We get them back and my daughter said. No everything is still very blurry. So back we go. Again Dr agmed is very rushed. Made us feel like we were a bother because she didn't do her job right the first time. She'd ask my daughter. 1 or 2 and she'd say I can't tell a difference but neither of them is clear. This went on for about 5 minutes when she decided to almost double her script. She assured us it was what my daughter thought was best. (Reread this paragraph) So we have another set of lenses made. We picked them up yesterday and she puts them on and immediately takes them off and says I'm seeing 4 of everything. So 3rd times a charm. She's seeing a new dr next week and I will update after her new glasses arrive. But seriously. This is a headache. I should have shopped around for a new Dr and allowed my insuemace to pay for it.
