    This location mandates retinal imaging and will strong arm patients into agreeing to the service. I informed an employee (Ken H.) that I was uninterested in the procedure or paying the extra $49 co-pay that the retinal exam was going to cost. His response was that the service was not optional and I was unable to decline the service as part of my exam. This leading me to believe that they wouldn't do my exam if I didn't comply. This is misleading as I've been to Lenscrafters locations in the past and have always been able to waive this procedure as I see fit. For reference I get it done every other year at my yearly exam, but as I had one last year, decided to decline this year's. I opted to cancel my appointment and have rescheduled at another location that doesn't force patients into having unnecessary procedures performed.

My info was already in the system so it was an easy experience for me. They have a great selection of glasses. They have good apps so that you can see the glasses that they don't have in stock, but can see them on yourself via the camera app. The tech they use to show you comparisons side by side of the same glasses with different features/options picked make decision making a bit easier. I don't really have any complaints other than I hope they are staffed well so that they are able to handle things without hassle. I know I heard the phone going off, but no one was able to get to it because they were all helping people so I can only imagine what its like to be a caller, but if you go in or if you call and get lucky when someone is available, I don't see it as a huge issue. They're doing their best and I appreciate it.

Recently on 2/18/22, I had my yearly eye exam. My exam was seamless and pretty quick. They have the latest technology equipment. I was very impressed. My vision remained the same. I was assisted by another agent that provided me a 20% discount if I purchased a year of eye contacts. At eh point of check out, I paid $25 deductible and the total for my eye contacts totaled about $88.00. What a steal of a deal!! =) I used to have my eye exams over at the South Hill Mall location. And I recall spending $200 some for the same service and a year worth of eye contacts. What a huge difference! I continue to return here yearly.

I scheduled an appointment in person for a check up,…read morewhen I arrived I was told that I my appointment was actually scheduled for 2025 not 2024. The staff was completely unapologetic, and in fact blamed me for not wondering why I didn't receive any reminder emails. They didn't attempt to assist me in any way, even though I left work early to get my appointment on time. The doctor here seems like she knows what she's doing, but given that her office staff is a direct reflection of her, I would venture that she may make questionable choices about my health if she thinks this kind of customer care is acceptable. If you have a customer come in who made an appointment, but it is clear the staff that made the appt are the ones who screwed up, it is your job to make sure you find a reasonable solution not place blame on the customer. A reasonable solution, when you have inconvenienced someone is to make sure you don't continue to inconvenience them. How about asking the doctor to stay a little later that day? Nope the solution for this clinic is to let the font desk staff talk over the customer, place blame on the customer, and then not show any issue with not accepting responsibility. If you want to be treated respectfully and fairly, I highly recommend you find another eye care doctor. This one isn't worth the hassle.
