Don't spend your money here! I spent $913.94 here and my prescription still wasn't right, even though it was checked twice. I was connived into purchasing the warranty thinking that I would get a refund if my prescription wasn't right. NOT! It was for my new frames. Why would I need a warranty for brand new frames? And the fact that you can't call the store to talk to a person but instead get an AI operator is bulls**t! I was told my glasses would be done in 2 weeks. 28 days later I finally went into the store and was told that they did contact me but often the text doesn't go through because it's sent by the AI system. Talk about feeling frustrated! I took my business elsewhere to a real optometrist and got the correct prescription and new frames. read more

Don't go here if you care about your vision(read why)!!! I set up an exam an arrived on time. They took me back fairly quickly. After working with an assistant I was taken to the exam room. For some unknown reason their TV screen, which the letters you read back to the doctor are on, is not centered, its like 10 inches left of center!!! When I looked through the lenses I told the doctor that, because of the TV being off-center I was only able to see 3 of the 5 letters on the TV, and my right eye had to compensate. This meant that my right eye was looking all the way left just to see the screen, which could impact the exam and the glasses/contacts you get. It took 3 or 4 minutes of explaining to the doctor what should've been simple. I told the doctor that he had to angle the lenses to face the TV since it was quite a bit off-center. I suspect a language barrier because it took him so long to understand. I left. I've never had an eye exam where I had to look all the way left just to see the letters. Every other exam I've had in my 51 years, the letters you read are directly in front of you and you didn't have to look all the way left and strain your eyes to see the screen. I also don't understand why they let the contractor leave without the TV being centered. I had to strain to look that far left. I wouldn't have left a negative review except that I wasted $10 on public transportation, as well as several hours, only for this to happen. I requested another doctor because they said there were 2 doctors in at the time. They refused to let me see the other doctor unless I did all this all over again and waste money on Septa and spent another 3 hours to get to and from there. The exam never happened, but I bet they fraudulently submitted a request for payment from my insurance for an exam that never happened. I have NEVER in my 51 years had a doctors office expect the patient to compensate so that they don't have to have the contractor come fix their mistake, or pay a new contractor to hang the TV correctly. Very unprofessional of them. Just pay the $80 to have it mounted correctly. It was only a 22-24" flatscreen, and could be corrected in 20 minutes. read more

Absolute J.O.K.E! Had some really good experiences in the past and I like the doctor but this experience was an abhorrent JOKE! Made an appointment online and got an email to confirm the appointment which I did and to complete the admissions which I also did! They send me more emails reminding me of the appointment and even the day of the appointment I got an email that said look forward to seeing you today! I go in for my appointment and they proceed to tell me "Oh well that was a reminder at that time to set an appointment you don't actually have an appointment today" and the other person working chimed in and said "Because there was no phone number we couldn't confirm it". I've NEVER heard of setting a reminder at a specific time to set an appointment! Shouldn't also need a PHONE NUMBER TO CONFIRM IT WHEN YOU SEND ME MULTIPLE EMAILS AND ASKED ME TO CONFIRM IT! Don't just bluntly LIE when you could have just said I'm sorry our system was having issues we apologize for the inconvenience! read more

I bought a pair of glasses that I really liked, but 6 months later the frame broke as I picked the glasses up off my desk. I had noticed small cracks in the frame but I paid no attention to them. I took them back to the store and they had another pair of the same frames so they popped the lenses in those and charged me $79. Looked for the cracks but there were none. I was OK with that. One month later the replacement frames broke again on the other side. Same cracks were present then that weren't when I got them. Took them back and was charged another $79 even though they were only a month old. Now I am seeing cracks starting to appear and the lens is cracking in the 3rd replacement pair. I am a senior citizen on a fixed income and glasses are expensive so I take very good care of them. I have been wearing glasses for decades and have never had a pair break. I have tried to contact Visionworks customer service but have not received any response. The only thing worse than the frames I received from Visionworks is the "customer service" from Visionworks. They do not stand behind their products, beware before you buy. I cannot recommend them read more

probably one of the worst Customer experiences I've ever had. I was at the store in Baltimore Pike in Springfield PA . I dropped off a prescription for my glasses. The very first visit took over two hours and the store was not even that busy no big deal.i picked out two frames and ordered my glasses. I was told it would take two weeks. Within the two week timeframe, I received a text message telling me both pairs were ready. When I got to the store to pick up, I was told that they were not ready and was most likely a glitch in the system. Three days later, I returned after getting another text stating that both pairs were ready when I arrived. I was told that only one pair was ready at this point. I became a little annoyed and asked when my other pair would be ready for pick up and my guy got totally rude. Really really annoying that he just left me standing there would not come to help me. I had to go get a store manager and ask for a refund which I received for the one pair of glasses. I do understand glitches and I understand mistakes and glitches , but there's absolutely no excuse for treating a customer as rude and as obnoxious as the employee at store did . I had my time wasted on three different occasions with this and I will never return again I would strongly recommend finding another location . read more

Been here for many years. But this recent visit in 2024 was an absolutely horrible experience. This time, everyone was amazing and friendly including the doctor, assistant, receptionist except for this person called Jules or Julie. Later found out she's the store manager (laughable after you keep reading). She was the last person I interacted with as she checked me out at the counter. She subtly tried to make fun of my last name when she looked me up in the system. She gave me an overcharged amount to pay at first. I told her I have insurance and she insisted that amount was with insurance, I know it was odd because I've been here before. I insisted not ordering as a result since my prescription never changed and I was content with my current glasses. Since I spoke up she then told me she'd "see what she could do" then came back with a much lower and more reasonable amount. I was told by my eye doctor I could get my PD reading from the reception when I order new glasses. So I asked her to tell me my numbers, she refused to give them to me. She first told me I could get them online (???? I was there in person why would i get that number online?) then I asked again if she could read them to me, she said "No" without any explanations. I let it go. Lastly, I had a paper the eye doctor gave to me to take and after I paid she took it from me before I left then I realized I wanted it to read. I turned around, circled back, and asked if I could have that piece of paper. She heard me and proceeded to throw it in the TRASH and said "you don't need this". She then noticed I had a very upset and confused face and everyone around was looking at us, then she proceeded to ask if I wanted my receipt (which she should've given to me in the first place before I left), I said yes, grabbed the papers, said my thank yous, and left. Someone like that who tried to show micro aggressions, attempted to make fun of customer's last name, withheld information that customers are entitled to, and being extremely difficult, attempted to overcharge and brush it off as a mistake, negligent, and power tripping with terrible customer service shouldn't perform customer service and shouldn't be a store manager. This shows how unprofessional this VisionWorks store is. Jules, give it up and let Dave take over. He's a rockstar and never let any customers down. I know I'm not the first one to complain about Jules. I know I won't be the last one to compliment Dave and give him the kudos. read more

I initially gave the Springfield, PA Visionworks store a great review for the initial order experience, however, I'm over 3 weeks in and still waiting for my glasses. They keep saying my order has shipped and they will contact me in 3-5 days when the order arrives. It's a never ending 3-5 day loop of "we will contact you". read more

Terrible service! The waiting room was always full. I was treated like a number. I was never notified that my glasses were ready & only found that out after calling them 3 weeks later. My prescription was totally incorrect! I could not see, it's as if they were made backwards. After waiting over 2 hours to get my prescription re-checked, I gave up on them, demanded a full refund & left the store. Then had to spend another hour on the phone trying to reinstate my vision care insurance. I'm so sorry I tried this place, will never go back! read more

Where to begin!! A young lady @ the back of the Store "yells" can I help you. Meanwhile I have to find her. "She doesn't get up to make it an easier" " busy looking in the phone. But both girls were..... I couldn't understand everything she was trying to say". MASKS! I try to repeat what I think she said. Of course now comes the "snippy" behavior. I come the same girl ask the man up front if he could take me. Back to her phone. This is an extremely overweight man who had a wet mark in front of his zipper, a very dull stretched out shirt on. And it didn't look clean. This grossed me out! Apparently he doesn't see the front of his pants. WTH!!! Finish up and let him know I'll be back later in the afternoon. When I walk in again Both girls are in the back on their "freaking" phones again. Or I should say still. This is a pet pev of mine Gen Z. Not paying attention, Always in the cell . I was here 2 yrs ago and the stains in the carpet has gotten disgusting.... WTH Is going on with companies today. Your aesthetic is part of your brand. And you were closed part of the pandemic and you couldn't spruce up some? Let alone every pair of glasses I picked up were so dirty. I had to have them clean them before I could put them on. All rare qualities these days to say the least most employees are in a hurry, don't listen and most of all don't care what you have to say. That did not happen here. This woman mind you received No commission as I was just there to get a nose piece replaced on my glasses...and they were not even purchased at this store or company. Stood there waiting to be helped, one employee at the front and the others in the back talking... easy life working at Vision Works Update: I initially went into this location because I was close by. I needed my lenses switched to a frame that wasn't broken. I received a call from an employee saying that the guy couldn't do it because he was afraid to break my frame. I asked "the frame that's already broken?" We seemed to go back and forth trying to understand each other. I picked up my glasses and took them to the branch I always go to located on Columbus Blvd. Of course, Joe was awesome as ever. He switched my lenses and made sure my glasses felt comfortable on my face. It was 3 years since my last pair of glasses. Moving, new doctors, getting acquainted with the area I put off things. I heard Vision Works had more choices in frames, that I was covered for, than the previous Dr office had. Scared, to try a new place, I went to LOOK. I did find the perfect Anne Klein frames I love and now I need Progressive lenses. It cost a more than 3 years ago,. But well worth it. I Love them. read more

I went to get my glasses today at COSTCO since I waited for two hours to get my exam and decided not to give Visionworks any more business. when the doctor at COSTCO was measuring my eyes for the glass lens, the prescription was not completed with my progressive ad on so I had to call VISIONWORKS and have them fax over the corrected prescription. talk about incompetent people. read more

Just stood in front of an empty store with no greeting for 10 minutes even though 3 employees were standing there. When I said I was there to pick up glasses I was told I needed an appointment to pick them up. I wasn't even told that they had arrived until I called to see. The employees here are either low paid and miserable since this is not my first less than satisfied experience, or they are poorly managed, or both. I had a very good experience here at Visionworks the other day!! I talked to a young woman named Kennedy and she was very helpful to me. I went in to get an eye exam and was a first time patient here. I was looking at new glasses to buy as well and she was helping me and suggesting different brands and styles of glasses for me to get. I felt very welcomed here and that Kennedy was very knowledgeable about what she was talking about. She also answered all of my questions and demonstrated great customer service. I purchased eyeglasses in February which were over $1000.00. I can't see to drive in them so I made an appointment to have them looked at again within the 30 days after purchase. The appt. was 10:45 and I put 11:45 on my calendar by mistake ( my fault ) so I called and told them what happened and apologized for my mistake. The woman I spoke to gave me another appointment about an hour later saying there was no problem. I show up ( on time ) and I get checked in and told to sit in the waiting room.....50 minutes later I'm still sitting there. Not once did someone come to say there running behind or anything. I had to go to work and left. I'm over my 30 days and I wouldn't go back anyway. I'll use my old glasses to drive. I will NEVER go back for my glasses again. After they have your money there done with customer service. I'll take my money elsewhere where my prescription will be right. read more

I was in Saturday as a 1st time patient. All the staff were great especially Najee or Naje' (sorry I forgot to ask how to spell her name) and the new male doctor. What I valued most about both was their understanding, patience with my questions and thoughtfulness of assisting. I was skeptical about the style of glasses to fit my fat face (just had a baby) yet Najee or Naje' was very personable, fashionable and helpful. During our appointment by phone, we were asked for our insurance carrier. We complied. My wife told me the exam was very satisfactory and that was pleasant to hear. I inquired about the second pair, FREE, so we decided to pick out a frame, and have a bi-focal for one pair and a single lens for a pair of sun glasses. Okay so far. The attendant typed away at her computer for a rather long time. Bottom line, the total for the bi-focal came to something like $553.00 to include a $169.00 frame. I was flabergasted! I asked for the cost of a bi-focal lens. She said $335.00. Was there a mistake? She said no. If you want to be treated like you don't have a clue, go to Visionworks. If I wasn't so angry, I would laugh. There is nothing FREE about the second pair. To think that anyone would pay $335.00 for a simple pair of bi-focals Lenses is insane. I saw customers come and go. They apparently weren't good at math, or just didn't know a raw deal staring them in the face. Of course, we left with the prescription for lenses, but not a purchase. Was there for an hour and a half trying to pick out frames. They had to be marked in yellow with a price of 69.95 to get the 2 for 49 sale. Finally found 2 frames I liked since there selection was not that big. The girl started the process and she told me one of the frames did not come up the sale price even though it was clearly marked!! She said there was nothing she could do to override it and basically I was out of luck!! Never heard of a retailer not being able to override a price and basically screw the customer!!! She said ppl take the stickers off and put them on to get the sale price even though she couldn't even get it off herself since she tried right in front of me!! In need of new glasses, thought I'd give Visionworks a try. Went in on a Saturday afternoon. Clean, good selection, not busy. My husband and I looked at various glasses for 20 minutes, picking out various selections. During that entire time, no one, and there were at least 3 employees working there, NEVER approached us. No one said "Hi "(even though there was a woman behind the reception desk the entire time). No one said "We'll be with you shortly" or "Can I help you". Being ignored for 20 minutes is my limit. So we left; apparently our business was not wanted. I won't be back. Went directly to Pearle Vision in Springfield Mall, was immediately welcomed by 2 employees, and ended up buying 2 pairs of glasses. read more

My first impression of the store was a good one. It's clean and well organized. After approaching the desk with my 6 years old daughter who had to get her eyes checked, my impression of the place changed. They were not as welcoming except for one lady who attended to our appointment. We were asked to fill out some paperwork then was taken to a room to start the exam. The tech that performed my daughters exam was not trained to work with children, she expected my child to know what to do without instructing or telling her, she then picked up a pair of glasses that was used by other patients to place it on my daughters face, I stop her an asked her if the glasses were used by others, she say yes, so I got an alcohol pad and cleaned it of so we can use it, during the exam my daughter moved while the exam was taking place, the tech seem agitated, I stood next to my daughter and spoke to her in a way a child would understand. I was a bit annoyed with the tech but I just concentrated on getting my little one through this process because it was all new to her. I understand that everyone has good days and bad day but dam, when working with children you need to know what works and what doesn't. It starts with a smile! read more

This was the third Visionworks I visited in the same day. I got horrendous service in King of Prussia, bad service in Edgemont but I liked the frames I had picked out. I called Springfield to see if they had the same frames in stock. Betsy took the time to look and was so nice on the phone! She was professional, friendly and did everything she could to offer great service. After speaking with her, I realized she had helped my husband last year in Edgemont, where he had a great experience.)probably only because of Betsy!) I picked up my glasses tonight , Betsy was off but the manager, Gary helped me. He was great too and very apologetic that I had a bad experience at other stores. I highly recommend this location, and I would very much tell you to stay away from King of Prussia!!!!! read more

I found that Visionworks accepts my insurance, so I located the nearest location 25 minutes away in Springfield, PA. The store was clean with plenty of choices. Both sales women were each busy with a customer when I arrived, so I began to look at frames. One of the two sales women finished with her customer and came to ask if I needed help. I told her I am ready to buy a pair of frames today, but that I had yet to decide on a frame. In the meantime, I gave her my insurance card so she could see what was covered. I continued to look when another customer came in and she began to help that customer. I found a pair that I liked and waited until one of the two sales women were finished with their customers. I was told to have a seat at the desk where they fit the glasses. During that time, another customer came in with a question for the sales staff. The customer asked if I wouldn't mind if she asked a question of the sales staff before they helped me. I told her to please go ahead and ask her question since I knew I would be awhile with one of the sales staff. Her question turned into about 8 minutes of questions. Each of the sales staff was helping her, leaving the one customer who was in the process of having their frames fitted forced to wait as well. While they were helping the woman with her questions, another customer came in, was asked if she was there to pick up her new frames, and was told to have a seat. Once the woman was done with her eight minutes of questions, the one sales staff went back to the poor customer who had been left waiting, and the other sales staff went to help the woman who had just come in to pick up her frames. I continued to sit at the desk awaiting help. Evidently, first come, first served, does not come into play at this store. I thought, "Screw this," got up and asked for my prescription back and left. I admit I was feeling passive aggressive, but nothing was said by either of the sales staff on my way out, like, "We'll be with you in a moment," or something else which might have persuaded me to continue waiting; but there was nothing. They were fine with a customer who had been there for about 30 minutes, who stated that they were there to purchase glasses today, walk out of the store. As I was driving back home, I realized that they still had a sheet with my name and insurance information on it. I went back to ask for that sheet. I walked in and one sales person exclaimed, "You're back!" "Yup." At this point, there was only one customer in the store. I asked for the insurance sheet since it has my personal information on it and was told that they would shred it since it was proprietary and were not able to give it to me. Fine. One of the sales staff volunteered that when I ordered my frames on the internet that Visionworks would accept my insurance. I again said that I was there to purchase glasses today in the store, not on the internet, and said that they both looked busy, so I'd come back another time. Again, even when there was only one customer in the store, and one of the two sales staff was totally available to help, they let me walk out of the store without saying something like, "I am able to help you now." So, in the end, it was a lose-lose scenario: they lost a customer who was ready to buy, and I didn't order the new glasses I so desperately need and lost an hour and a half of my afternoon. I lost more than they did, but they clearly didn't need my business. I'll be more content finding another place to order my new glasses that is happy to have a customer. Visionworks appears to have all the customers they need. Therefore, save your time trying Visionworks. Your business will be more appreciated elsewhere. read more
