Saw Dr Risoli. From the door, everyone was really nice, up to and including Dr Risoli. Dr Risoli was super friendly and personable. I give 5-stars just on the fact that in one visit I'm seeing better now than I have in years! I have terrible vision, glasses are such a pain with everything I do. Over the years I've been working with other places and have never been able to wear just contacts. "We can give you up close or far vision but you're always going to need glasses with the contacts to see - which defeats the point. In less than 20 minutes I had contacts in my eyes and can read my phone AND street signs from down the road! Definitely recommend :-) read more

Oh my goodness this place impressed me with its low quality of customer service!! I know this location has low review ratings online, but thought by choosing a good eye Dr (the Dr was good), everything will be fine. Obviously I was wrong. Was told glasses will be done within a week. I waited over two weeks with no reply. I called and was told lenses arrived. So I went to store. However was told again that the store cannot put lenses on because the trace didn't work, and I need to wait another 10 days (let's wish this time it will really be done in 10 days). One staff member started saying how inappropriate that I don't have a backup pair of glasses. I asked whether they could expedite, was given some reason I still don't understand. A second staff member said expedite wouldn't work because it will pull someone who is on something else to work on this order - seriously what does this mean? Do you understand? I have been using My Eye Dr for over 10 years in different states and always had good experience until this one. I'm very disappointed at My Eye Dr. I will go to another place for future eye exam and glasses, and also warn my friends not to come to this location. read more

Rather than being a provider of vision care, the Ardmore location is, first and foremost, a store. You will encounter hidden charges and, at every turn, a less-than-subtle push to make purchases, even if you do not need another pair of glasses. The store was out of the brand and prescription of contact lenses I wear and the optometrist suggested trying a different brand. I agreed and upon checking out, was charged an additional $105.00 fee. Neither the staff nor the office manager could delete the unadvertised charge, so we notified the optometrist of her failure to inform me of the charge. She shrugged, smiled, and said "good bye" as she left the store. MyEyeDr. has changed its model from acquiring respected practices and retaining the doctors of them to opening stores in strip malls. I will not return and strongly discourage others from doing so. read more

I really dislike when companies are not transparent. Great example of a small business merger with a larger company. This office is now know as MyeyeDr. I must of been preoccupied this particular day. First question was the cost of contact exam. The front desk stated, we will bill your insurance if there is a balance we will bill you As we all know most contact exams are not covered by insurance. I should have been more persistent or just opted out of the contact exam until I was given a price so....... ended up paying $125.00 that's on me. Had to return twice once to have my eyes dilated and again to adjust my contact rx. Last be not least I asked for the same brand of contacts I have been using the last couple years. Doctor totally ignored my request and fitted me for a different brand that cost $20.00 more per box. My only defense after all this crap was to request both RX be mailed so I can order my contacts/eye glasses online. read more

Great doctors and the staff was very helpful. I was nervous about going during corona but they screen everybody when they come in. They took my temperature and made sure I had a mask and everybody in the office was wearing masks. They had hand sanitizer coming in and going out. read more

I chose to go to Eye to Eye after getting some recommendations via a Facebook post to the Lower Merion network page. I'm very happy with the choice. The staff was very helpful in working with me to determine how best to apply my eye insurance benefits. The eye doctor, Dr. Berger, was knowledgeable, precise, fast and just an all around very nice person. The contact appointment is pricey ($78 and not usually covered by most insurances); it's a bit pricier than my old place in Blue Bell, but not obscene. However while that is a bit pricey, the contacts are priced at the same rates as 1800contacts so I'll surely order through this office in the future. Plus, I was able to easily apply my Davis Vision benefits which almost completely covered a 6 month supply of 2-week contacts! The only complaint was I had a long wait, about an hour after my appointment was supposed to begin. But I think that was unusual because an eye emergency case walked in while I was waiting. read more

Second year in a row I've had to send my eyeglasses back to the lab because something was not done correctly. I was very detailed in my expectations and was told by the representative helping me with my order she was qualified with many years of experience however when I went to pick up my daily eyeglasses they had a dark tint like sunglasses which was NOT what we discussed. It's frustrating because she then proceeded to tell me she called the lab and they were going to do her a favor and lighten them when in fact she should have submitted my order correctly the first time. She wasn't doing me a favor at all, she was just finally doing her job right! She should have ordered a #1 tint NOT #3. So here it is going on a month and I'm still waiting for an $800 pair of glasses. This is the last time I will go there. The doctor was great but support staff is less than satisfactory. I had been going to Dr, Berger for years, loved the office, loved the staff, NEVER had a problem. Now that it is MyEyeDr everything has changed. Absolutely horrible. Dr. Berger is still wonderful, but the people (or one specific pink/purple haired person) at the eye glasses part was definitely not wonderful. She messed up my glasses order, charged me the rate she quoted for a better pair of frames and got me the lower priced frames at the rate she quoted me on for the better pair. I would not recommend them to anyone. read more

I initially was happy with my eye exam at My Eye Dr. However, I felt the staff was not very responsible. I ordered glasses and was told they would be in on December 27th. I called the office that day to ask about the status of my order and received a call back later that day stating the lab was giving them the run around and they would have more information for me by the 29th. The need for 2 days was because the woman I spoke with wouldn't be at work again until then. I never heard from them on the 29th so I called at 4:30pm that day and was told that my frames were on backorder and that they requested the lens to be sent to them from the lab, since they claim they have frames there. Now I have to wait another 5 days for my glasses. What annoyed me was twice I had to call, they never called me or checked the status of their orders. I find that to be very poor business management and unprofessional! read more

If I was writing this review on the doctor alone I would give Eye to Eye 5 stars. Dr. Melissa Risoli was amazing! She was patient, thorough and tried several contacts to ensure my vision was perfect before I left. The reason I am rating Eye to Eye 2 stars is due to the front desk staff, who was extremely rude, short and obviously don't know what they are talking about. I asked to purchase 2 boxes of contact and the receptionist helping me, I believe her name was Maria, charged my debit card for 4 boxes. I was also told by Maria that there would be a particular dollar amount covered by my insurance company for my contacts, however I received a bill 4 weeks later for that exact amount. When I called after a week to see if my contacts had arrived, I was rudely told, "We called you Saturday to tell you they were here!" When I went to pick them up, I waited over 7 mins before I was even acknowledged. It's sad because I REALLY liked the doctor, but I doubt if I go back due to the front desk staff. read more

I can't imagine any place that can do it better. Every aspect of their process is done with great skill and professionalism. Dr. Berger is simply amazing. He will devote as much time as necessary to dealing with patient's needs, and that can be quite complicated with contact lenses. i made an appointment for computer glasses. I was given a condescending lecture on progressive lenses. I explained I tried progressives and they did not work well for my double monitor work setup. After asking multiple times he still would not acomodate my request. I finally left and asked for the script anyway. I was told no problem. After leaving realized I did not get the script. I called twice and they said they would mail it, they did not. The fourth request I told them I would stop in to pick up the script, again I was told no problem until I showed up and they could not find the prescription. read more

My wife purchased glasses at Eye To Eye. After several months the temple became broken. She returned the glasses to the store, where they informed her that they could not be repaired and she would need to purchase a new pair. The company was unwilling to make any attempt to repair the glasses. I then took them to Main Line Optical. They made a temporary repair at no charge and ordered new temples for the glasses. In less than a week they received the temples, informed me that they were under waqrranty and only charged me ten dollars for shipping. After this experience, I wouldn't recommend Eye To Eye to anyone. However, if you want quality service, I suggest that you see the fine people at Main Line Optical. read more
