The doctor told me they saw nothing and there was a chance within the next 5 weeks my retina could detach. I ended up going to wills eye mid Atlantic retina for a second opinion.. I got diagnosed with Central serous retinopathy (CSR) where fluid builds up behind the retina in the eye causing vision distortion. When I went in for my follow up at Springfield opticians the doctor got angry. She was upset I had gotten a second opinion and basically told me I only have floaters and that I should just leave since I have another appt with wills eye.. (even though she had the report from wills eye in her hand. She didn't even care to read it..) Needless to say, if you're having serious eye issues I would be cautious.

I was connived into purchasing the warranty thinking that I would get a refund if my prescription wasn't right. NOT! It was for my new frames. Why would I need a warranty for brand new frames? And the fact that you can't call the store to talk to a person but instead get an AI operator is bulls**t! I was told my glasses would be done in 2 weeks. 28 days later I finally went into the store and was told that they did contact me but often the text doesn't go through because it's sent by the AI system. Talk about feeling frustrated! I took my business elsewhere to a real optometrist and got the correct prescription and new frames.

The online store had a deal with Lenscrafters that I could have the frames adjusted there, and I have to say their employee, Pam, was marvelous (yes, I said marvelous). Over the course of a few months, yes, MONTHS that it took me to order frames, send them back and reorder, I came in for adjustments and she was always professional, courteous, witty and funny. Had an eye exam and a few factors for me and my expectation of an eye exam for someone like me of a…read moremature age AND someone who has not had an eye exam in 3 years; I arrived to the exam to be brought back to the D.O. who was READING, my exam less than 15 minutes and akin to a place that's just selling you glasses. My eyes were not dilated and I did not get any assurance from this quackery of an eye exam. Second, I purchased glasses and absolutely zero price transparency was shared....zero, just the eye glass person clicking boxes on her Ipad with neither verbal or written information with prices listed and nothing telling me how much anything costs. My glasses were $500. When I picked up my glasses there was a guy trying glasses on and blabbing on and on the the eye glass person, asking her for her opinion on 5 pairs of glasses, while I stood there almost 15 minutes waiting to pick up my glasses. She finally broke away, I got my glasses. NEVER AGAIN for me. PS, the guy trying on glasses mentioned that his eyes were dilated, so apparently people who look about 35 get their eyes dilated but someone over the age of 50 doesn't? Makes sense.

I returned the eyeglasses to them and they refunded me all but $50 of the original $560 which I paid to them. The $50 difference was to cover the cost of the eye exam; I requested a copy of my prescription. Legally, they are required to provide a copy of the prescription at the time of examination which they did not do. I feel that I should have been refunded the full amount ($560) but wanted to settle the matter and move on.

He went above and beyond by even doing the cost comparison for me when I was considering two contact brands, the manufacturer's rebates, and their in-office promotions. I also love that this practice has the option to text their staff, I do find that to be easier than calling because their phone lines are often quite busy. When it was time to order my contacts I had the option to order through the site Dr. Contact Lens or through them directly to save an additional 15% off. I've been a happy customer here and would recommend it!

My daughter was referred to this practice for vision therapy, the doctor was fantastic but the…read morebilling department and front desk staff was horrible. They did not return our phone calls, they do not answer their phone, they were unable to answer our questions when we did finally get a person on the phone, did not mail a doctor letter of medical necessity to our insurance company and did not inform us that our insurance was not covering the therapy. We ended up with months of unpaid bills that we didn't know we were responsible for. We are happy with the doctor but the billing and admin parts of the practice are a nightmare to deal with. We will not be going back to the practice and we have informed the neurologist that recommended the practice about our horrible experience.

My most recent appointment at Vivid was on April 11th, 2023. It was for 3:00 pm. I was not taken back for my exam until after 3:45 pm. My husband's most recent appointment was on May 30th, when he needed an eyeglass exam and contact fitting. He also ended up waiting over 40+ minutes to be seen for his appointment. The doctor did the eyeglass exam but did not have the "brand" of contacts in stock to do his contact fitting, so he was told that they would order the contacts and finish the exam at a later date. He was told NOT TO FILL HIS EYEGLASS PRESCRIPTION until the contact fitting was complete, as it would possibly need to be adjusted further. So we paid, out of pocket, for an eye exam and prescription, that he could not use yet. On June 8th at 1:39 pm my husband called Vivid to ask whether the contacts had come in. He was told that brand was "on backorder" and could take up to 4 weeks. On June 26th at 4:30 pm my husband called Vivid again and did not receive a response. Cool. On June 30th at 10:16 am my husband called Vivid and was told to keep waiting - contacts still not on-site. (It's been a month now...) Cool, again. On July 17th at 5:02 pm my husband called and asked to talk to the doctor about options for different contact brands, as the waiting was absurd. We were told she'd call him back "before 6 pm" that day. She did not. On July 18th at 5:25 pm he again called Vivid and was told "yes, I see in your notes that you've been calling. I'll tell the doctor to call you back today." NO CALL BACK. On July 20th at 1:40 my husband called, again, and was sent to a voicemail saying it was outside of business hours and to leave a message. He did. On July 20th at 3:00 pm I called Vivid personally and was also sent to a voicemail saying it was outside business hours. I left a message, but again, it was not outside of business hours. On July 21st the doctor FINALLY called my husband back, saying she could see him the following Sunday for his contact fitting. Did she apologize for the nearly two-month wait? Did she apologize for all of the calls we placed and didn't receive a call back from? No, not once. On the day of my husband's appointment (today), she did not apologize for the runaround, yet again. I do not know how it is OK to keep a client who is paying completely out-of-pocket waiting nearly two months, and not calling them back once out of the how many times we called. The lack of communication and customer service at this place is beyond laughable. I'll be taking my business somewhere else, and so will my husband. I could spit with rage after dealing with them over this crap.

The appointment was very easy to make. The first appointment, I checked their website to see which VIVID Eyecare location was closest to me and I was able to make my appointment. When I arrived for my FIRST appointment, the wait was not long at all. I answered a few questions regarding COVID and a questionnaire regarding my health and insurance. At the time, I had NO insurance, so I would be paying out of pocket. The first portion of the exam, was going into the room (which was dark for obvious reasons) and sitting at the different machines to check the inside of my eyes. Afterwards, I sat in the waiting area to see the optometrist. Seeing the optometrist, she asked me questions about my health, such as whether or not my diabetes was under control and any medications I might. She was VERY NICE and easy to talk with. It took a few minutes and I had my new readings for glasses. Once I returned home, I had an email waiting for me with my next appointment ALREADY scheduled. THIS YEAR, I popped into my scheduled appointment. Very short wait to be examined. Updated the optometrist on diabetic medication and updated the readings for new eyeglass prescription. I paid out of pocket and it was only $140. And just like last year, I had an email waiting in my inbox with my scheduled appointment for 2023. I would recommend this location! LensCrafters itself is great, but the eye care doctor's office inside is absolutely terrible…read more Communication is extremely poor--responses are slow, if they come at all. I was told to get a specific vision test, only to later be informed it was out of pocket. That should have been disclosed upfront; the lack of transparency felt very shady. They never have contact lens trials in stock, and when trial lenses are needed because the doctors can't determine the correct prescription, it takes weeks of follow-up just for them to arrive. Even then, the prescription is often still incorrect. Overall, the experience with the doctor's office has been incredibly frustrating and unprofessional.
