I received a thorough eye exam (more thorough than I've received from past doctors) accompanied by an understanding and kind style. I had a problem with starbursts due to hairline fractures that emerged over time in my old glasses which are a big problem for night driving. Dr. Haak made a recommendation for lens treatment to preclude this issue with the new glasses. I ordered the lens treatment to protect the new glasses. I feel well looked after and am grateful.

The extra exam fee was never disclosed and when I tried to advocate for myself (which I always find so awkward and uncomfortable and something I've had to actively practice throughout my life to gain courage to do) I was told I wouldn't be able to order any new contacts without paying this fee and getting an updated prescription. I felt like I was getting fear mongered and taken advantage of and it was awful. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else, in fact I called several other eye doctors on the same street and got a quote for $40 for a contact lens exam. Unfortunate for me and a hard lesson learned.
