This policy was never disclosed--not during scheduling, not in reminders, and not in the patient registration or financial agreement. They had already verified my insurance, knew my exact co-pay, and I even offered to pay it upfront. Still, they refused to let me see the doctor. I've never experienced this with any provider before. This made me lose all trust in their billing practices. If they mishandle a claim or insurance rejects something, I have no doubt they'd just charge the card without doing the proper follow-up. In today's environment of healthcare data breaches, requiring a card on file with no limits or opt-out is not just unsafe--it's unethical. If they treat new patients like this before the first exam, imagine what happens after. I would not recommend this office to anyone

She said they will then "refuse" to see me if I don't fill this out. Even though she admitted they already had a credit card on file for me (never gave permission for this). I mentioned I'm happy to pay with credit card but I'm not providing this on paper. What is this 1980? Walked out and submitted a security complaint for the office. The time before this, I came in for an eye test with a nurse who was clearly sick and coughing all over the place and sneezing. She refused to wear a mask so I told her I was uncomfortable with her being that close to my face with no mask. Overall, will never go back here and do not recommend this place to anyone.
