I understand that this is quite common; however I work in a helping profession myself and am very turned off by medical practices that feature commercial products. You could not reschedule me for over a month. My appointment is next week. On Friday, September 26 I received a phone call to schedule an appointment. I needed to call you office, leave a message, and wait for a phone call to make sure my appointment, again, was not canceled. While I was on the phone verifying my appointment was not canceled. the person HUNG UP ON ME. This is very unprofessional. I wanted to ask her if I could opt out of the phone calls to schedule an appointment.

If you live in this area and you need a full doctor medical exam, this is the office you want to go to. Between Dr. Harry Halscheid and his knowledgeable & friendly staff (hi Pam & Debbie), I have been well taken care of for all this time. I have had a long history of issues with my eyes, and was always cautioned to pay attention whenever or if I see bright flashing lights. Thankfully, I didn't travel this Thanksgiving weekend, and I was able to get Dr Reto's attention right away when I was seeing something not right. Through a series of phone calls and text messages we concluded I likely had a retinal tear or detachment. Dr. Reto came in on a Sunday morning after Thanksgiving, and drew his conclusion of a retina tear and put me in touch with an on call retina surgeon (Dr. Saran). Two top notch (no interns here) on call doctors on a Sunday! This tag team surely prevented me from potentially getting a detachment and / or losing the vision in my left eye! They prescribed medication for her and asked me whether I wanted to schedule a follow-up appointment. I told them that I would call later if I need to schedule a second appointment. Three month later, I was shocked to receive a bill for a cancelled second appointment which occurred one week after the first appointment. I called the provider and told them that I never scheduled a second appointment. They said that I made one according to their records. I reiterated that was not true and mentioned that I did not receive any card, email reminder or sms about any such appointment. They insisted that that I told the receptionist "yes" when she asked me whether I need to schedule a second appointment and that she made one for a week later. I told them that I refuse to pay for a missed second appointment that I never made and told them that I will share my experience on social media so other customers won't fall into the same trap. It is a shame that this provider tries to extort money from customers using unethical/fraudulent billing practices without providing any evidence. I will NEVER go to this provider again and plan to report them to the Better Business Bureau.

Each every time I go to Broomall Eye care, I get the right prescription! This may sound obvious; but trust me, I have had many bad experiences on the road. Recently, my wife came along for my visit. Dr A also looked at her eyes to see what he could diagnose. My wife has had eye trouble for years astigmatisms, retina/macula problems. Dr A advised her to see a cataract surgeon as he thought there was no other damage that he could assess. Long story short, my wife went to a recommended specialist and she now sees better than she has in many years. Dr A is a great Dr. I highly recommend his services.
