I had a stye that was infected and began to hurt so I called this place and scheduled. I had an appointment at 11:45, arrived early to fill out paperwork and was informed of 1 gentleman in front of me. About 20 min pass and then gentleman is taken and a lady arrives. Another 15 minutes go by and the lady that had arrived after me begins to complain, the staff decide to jump her ahead of me. Waited an hour to even be seen and the doctor didn't provide any information or results that made me walk out satisfied. The urgent care had provided me with antibiotics and the doctor was upset I couldn't remember the name of the antibiotic. Wouldn't return or recommend this place to anyone. If you want fast service complain and they'll jump you 2+ people. read more

I had to choose a new eye doctor because of insurance change. I went to this eye doctor he was really nice but the optician did not allow me to pick my own frames and was very pushy. I ended up buying a pair out of his selection which I was not happy about but I was not given the option to browse the selections on my own. I have not been back luckily my eye insurance changed again. read more

Had my glasses exam weeks ago. Wasn't given my RX upon leaving-a violation of PA law. Had a follow-up for contacts, asked for my glasses RX-was told it had to be "sent" to the optician out front. I could not get a copy. Instead, I was expected to buy glasses there--way overpriced. Experience was so uncomfortable. When I spoke with my husband and others about it, I realized I had to cancel the order. I spent close to $600 for a "back-up" pair of glasses-ridiculous (I wear contacts all the time.) Tried to cancel the order 3 times 8 business hours after placing it. Was told it could not be cancelled. That is NOT industry standard-had conversations with other providers and other consumers and cancelled orders are always honored in the first 24 hours and even after that. The lab hadn't even sent out the materials yet! Glasses were no where near made! In fact, they are not supposed to be finished for 2 weeks! All they were doing is ordering the blanks from the lab. Should definitely have been able to cancel 8 business hours later. Bunch of bunk. Do not buy glasses here. I also found out-by accident-that part of my RX was not right--and got it changed. I also got some indication that the other part of the RX is not what I have had for the last 5 years-but couldn't get that changed because they would not tell me what it was exactly!! I fully expect that, despite overpaying for these glasses, the RX is not right and I will not be able to see. Buyer beware. You should be given your glasses prescription without asking-in the state of PA-and not forced to buy glasses there. I will be filing a complaint with the BBB and with my health insurer. read more

I've been a patient of Dr. Sardella's for years. I find him to be very attentive and thorough. The staff is friendly and very competent. Overall the service is fantastic. While the eyeglasses sold in the office are pricey, they are very high quality and the man that runs that part of the business is very good at helping to select frames that are flattering. I asked once to get my glasses prescription so I could get a cheaper pair. I had no problem at all getting it from them. I had a pair of sunglasses made at Costco and learned once again that "you get what you pay for". They were awful. read more

Third visit int he last 13 months, no complaints. IMO staff is pleasant, thorough, and knowledgeable. I'm satisfied and will return.

I've been going to the eye doctor for years and no other optometrist ever noticed or bothered to investigate why my upper lid droops...Dr. Sardella noticed it right away and asked my mom to bring in a picture of me when I was younger so he could be sure it was something benign I've had my whole life and not indicative of a more serious nerve problem. Dr. Sardella is wonderful and caring, he deserves a 5+++. I rated this practice a 4 overall because the Kennett office does have some employee problems as noted in another comment below. One older gentleman always seems to be in a rush, is pushy, doesn't necessarily listen to what your saying. It was annoying, but I still bought glasses and I do like them. read more
