I already told him to put it down... and the older lady at the front desk said some rude comments. Lady, I told my son to take his foot down. Just chill out. Then, he went to the bathroom.... and she went after he came out. She made some snarky remarks again. Geese... lady... I subtracted two stars because of the staff. The doc is good, very thorough. But her staff needs to relax a bit. Or maybe have some kids friendly books or activities.

A few weeks ago I went there again to get my contact lens exam and as always they were very nice and helpful. BTW they had a new member, April, and she is very helpful too! I did my exam and was given two weeks to try a new kind of contact lens, which did much better job to keep moisture. I went back and asked for some adjustment on my prescription and then I was given another two weeks to try that before I decided to buy. They didn't force me to order anything from them but I wanted to. I traveled a lot recently. Before my order arrived, they gave me some contact lens so I could use them for my trips. Today my order arrived but I couldn't get it as I came home late and their office will be closed this weekend. I'm flying out this weekend so I ask for help. They were so nice and were willing to drop the box on my patio. When I came home, saw my contact lens box sitting on my patio and a line of footprints in the deep snow, I decided to write this review to express my appreciation. She let me know that they don't take walk-in patients, but she would check with the doctor and ask if he was able to stay a little longer and see me. Dr. DiGiovanni agreed and examined my eyes. He assured me that it was not serious and gave me samples and recommendations on how to take care of the issue. I highly recommend a visit to Bala Eye Care for great service and expert care. Today, I had the newest Ophthalmologist for my second time. Dr. Jazmin Logendra saw me today after making the appointment yesterday because I was having issues because of my age. She spent forty five minutes with me, had other technicians run other scans and tests on my eyes. She put all the information together and will now discuss all of it with the Senior Ophthalmologist. She feels quite sure, based on the the information what has to be done to fix my issue. She is very kind, efficient, soft spoken, makes sure that I understand everything that she is saying. The staff was very helpful in working with me to determine how best to apply my eye insurance benefits. The eye doctor, Dr. Berger, was knowledgeable, precise, fast and just an all around very nice person. The contact appointment is pricey ($78 and not usually covered by most insurances); it's a bit pricier than my old place in Blue Bell, but not obscene. However while that is a bit pricey, the contacts are priced at the same rates as 1800contacts so I'll surely order through this office in the future. Plus, I was able to easily apply my Davis Vision benefits which almost completely covered a 6 month supply of 2-week contacts! The only complaint was I had a long wait, about an hour after my appointment was supposed to begin. But I think that was unusual because an eye emergency case walked in while I was waiting.

The staff is great and will help you understand the "options" but in the invoice, they will put that insurance should cover "xyz" My advice. Know your coverage. I am not completely blaming them, i own my mistakes. But, they will claim they know what your coverage is and i blindly trusted them 2x in a row. For example. my insurance will cover an exam once every 2 years. They told me it was every year. Silly me, i forgot to check my coverage before i went. So, they gave me invoice. said insurance would cover $175. When i knew after i left it won't, so now i need to pay an additional bill. Again, i know that it's my coverage, so i own that. They act as trusted advisors who guide you with options. To be quite frank, it's honestly pretty confusing at times.
