After calling several times I've gotten inconsistent explanations or lack of explanations of why it was supposedly denied by my insurance, then this year someone at some point said it wasn't submitted correctly and they'd try again. After that I started getting mail from my dental insurance company at the time of service stating that this dental practice failed to file the claim in time (90 days), which is why it was denied. Then I started getting mail and texts from this practice that my outstanding balance was adjusted and INCREASED even though no additional services were rendered. This negative review is 100% a reflection of their administrative staff and unprofessional billing practices rather than the dentist I saw. They have not been able to give me an explanation or acknowledge that they have made multiple mistakes along the way. It is now the end of 2024 and this is still not resolved 3 years later. At the first appointment, only my left side was treated. Yet somehow, the billing code submitted reflected treatment on the right side. When I pointed this out, I was casually told it was "fine" since I'd be returning to complete the other side anyway. Apparently, documentation accuracy is optional here. Two months later, I noticed a $225 charge on my credit card that I never authorized nor was notified about. This included an additional $200 for my first deep cleaning visit (on top of the $300 I had already paid) and $25 for initial films they had "forgotten" to charge me for earlier. What was characterized as a "minor" error by the office wasn't minor at all. Because they submitted the wrong films (a direct result of their incorrect documentation), my insurance claim was denied, leaving me responsible for the majority of the visit cost. No one from the office contacted me to explain the issue. My card was simply charged. After multiple calls over three months and repeated promises to "look into it," nothing has been resolved. The error may have been theirs, but the burden was mine: time, phone calls, and weeks of unnecessary back-and-forth. At my most recent visit, I proactively confirmed with my insurance that I was eligible for a covered routine cleaning. I walked in confident. I was immediately told I owed $68. After questioning it, I was informed this was actually for a prior follow-up visit that was never collected at the time. Interesting how these forgotten balances only seem to surface long after the fact, and always in their favor. After my cleaning, I was presented with a total of $113: $68 for "periodontal maintenance" and $45 for an "optional" mouth rinse. This rinse was applied without explanation, discussion of cost, or the minor detail of my consent. Not only was I never told my visit would be coded as periodontal maintenance instead of a routine cleaning, but when I called my insurance, they confirmed the copay should have been $50, not $68. So even the surprise charges were inflated. As a healthcare provider myself, I find this particularly concerning. I ensure that I document the correct laterality before amputating a limb. I obtain consent before initiating procedures. I discuss options. I answer questions patiently. I make sure my patients understand what they are receiving and what they are being billed for. That's called standard of care. At this point, the pattern of incorrect documentation, unauthorized credit card charges, creative coding, and inconsistent copays feels less like oversight and more like strategy. The front desk staff also appear visibly irritated when asked basic billing questions, as though transparency is an unreasonable request. Patients should not have to audit their dental office after every visit. I cannot recommend this practice and will absolutely not be returning.

Bullying elder patients into spending big money on x-rays when all they want is their teeth cleaned is reprehensible. I have been there many times and never faced such bullying and coercion. Sorry, Dr. Newman, I can't come back there if that is how I am treated. Dr Sem said that she wouldn't allow me to be "under her care" if I didn't get xrays but I was already under the care of Dr. Newman. What a racket!

I had cleaning every 6 months or a yearly, I had X-rays when they said I was due. No one said I had a cavity or any issue with my teeth. In 2026 I was there for a routine cleaning and when the dentist came in, he said I needed to replace that same crown. I asked him why? it's not that old? He said it's not fitting correctly. I called the office and asked them to send me the x-rays. I told her my problem and she suggested I have a consultation with the owner, which I did a couple days later after that cleaning. He said I have a cavity under that crown. I asked why didn't your dentist tell me that, I was just here a couple days ago. He said he will talk to him. I question if I have a cavity there, I really do! The office called me and said the the owner would discount a price of a new crown and charge $420. He did not take responsibility that the crown was not put in properly in 2023. It was nothing I did or didn't do. When I got home I spoke to my husband, who is a retired dentist, he looked at the x-rays and said if I have a cavity there it is likely due to the open margin of the crown. He said it was not seated correctly. My insurance will not pay for a crown that is 3 years old. I would not go back to that office now even he said he will replace it at no charge. One doc said nothing about a cavity, two days later another doc said I have a cavity!! I lost my trust in them. I rather pay elsewhere and have it done correctly. They lost me and my uncle as patients.

There are plenty of new dentist facility. The plus to my short experience was dentist " had good bedside manner" and dental hygenist but prefer someone more experience. And didn't offer any monthly treatment plan and I think the only office which doesn't offer in office payment plans ( as many do with extensive dental treatment) not talking about 3rd parties like care credit. I would recommend anyone needing treatment going elsewhere again too many dentists every area in state.
