I have never, ever had a better experience with an eye doctor or purchasing glasses. The optometrist gave me a prescription for glasses. It was the first time in about 10 years that I could actually see well. Better than well! She was amazing. Dr. Sandra West. I have been seeing eye doctors since I was 7. Now 73, I would put her in the top 2! The woman who helped me find glasses was also excellent. Great selection, good prices and quick delivery. I have no idea what people's complaints pertain to because my experience was terrific! read more

LensCrafters itself is great, but the eye care doctor's office inside is absolutely terrible. Communication is extremely poor--responses are slow, if they come at all. I was told to get a specific vision test, only to later be informed it was out of pocket. That should have been disclosed upfront; the lack of transparency felt very shady. They never have contact lens trials in stock, and when trial lenses are needed because the doctors can't determine the correct prescription, it takes weeks of follow-up just for them to arrive. Even then, the prescription is often still incorrect. Overall, the experience with the doctor's office has been incredibly frustrating and unprofessional. read more

Booked appointment and provided my insurance information only to be told they don't take that insurance when I got there. Ridiculous.

the nicest people working here and efficient service. I was greeted upon walking in and always felt like there was help when I needed help!

Me & my daughter went there there and the girl Angela couldn't stop talking to her co worker and kept saying she wanted to get out of there and go home. She rushed us and we ended up over paying. Now we have to go back and get our money. Such a unnecessary mess read more

I've been using these folks for well over ten years and I couldn't be happier. I wear prescription glasses and sunglasses. When I need new frames or lenses I always take advantage of one of their specials. They seem to be available almost all the time. Their selection is excellent and as promised your glasses will be ready in about an hour. Famous Dave's is next door and a fine place to spend those sixty minutes. I'm not the only one that thinks that way. It's funny to side at the bar and see several other patrons holding LensCrafters' paperwork! Their after-the-sale service really sets them apart. You can stop in any time for new nose pads, frame adjustment, loose screws etc. and they are always happy to help. read more

Had to get my frames fixed after my lens kept falling out. They were very quick and attentive to help me. Only had to wait about 20-30 minutes for them to fix the frames. I ended up getting a pair of prescription sunglasses while I was there, I worked with Jason who was great and made it easy. I've been a customer to this location for over 2 years now. I highly recommend. read more

They never answer the phone and they close when ever they feel like it. Then when you go there the workers aren't very nice. Don't waste your time with this location. read more

I was very pleased with my experience here today. I was greeted the moment I walked in, the sales representative asked me what I was looking for and once I told him he directed me to the exact glasses I was looking for and ended up purchasing. He explained to me all of my options for lenses, looked up my insurance information and told me what they would cover, and explained all of the details and next steps to make me feel comfortable with my purchase. I ended up getting the new blue lenses that they have that prevents eye damage if you are in front of a computer screen all day. read more

When I went into Lens crafters,a salesperson upgraded my sale of frames to designer frames, with the intention of them being able to replace the lense, when my prescription changed in time, with no time restrictions. 2 years later, they won't live up to their promise. No!! is what they said. They can no longer use that frame. I was told I needed to upgrade my frames. To make a long story short......I'm not falling for that trick again. Sorry Lens crafters,I can't trust spending my money with your company These outfit does not live up to their promises, and shows no remorse in being able to help you out with your losses read more

This place has a good selection, and the staff is courteous and helpful, and willing to spend time with you. ON THE DOWNSIDE, some of the employees are a bit lazy and really just want you to leave. THE REAL DOWNER IS THE PRICE! WAY TOO EXPENSIVE! You can get way better prices elsewhere. read more

Had eye exams and bought new glasses for myself and my daughter back in September. The problems: My glasses were supposed to take a week. They took close to 3 weeks. When they arrived they had the wrong prescription. After about 6 weeks splotches started showing up on my daughter's lenses - when we went back they told us that the lenses were defective and to boot were not the right size for the frames. They replaced them, but were busy and it took a few hours so it required multiple trips to the store each with a long wait. There was never an apology - in each case they tried to pass the buck on the problems. So, LensCrafters - in my book that is 3 strikes you are out. read more

Glasses in about an hour? I started the process on 12/1/12 ordering a pair of regular glasses and sunglasses. I just got the sunglasses today, 2/23/13. The regular glasses came in a couple weeks ago. The problem -they couldn't make a lens in the exact same prescription as the last pair. They promised an "adjustment" on the charges (which hit the Credit card in December), which also never came. This used to be a decent place to get glasses, a little expensive, but decent. Now they are just expensive. read more

Unfortunately, my insurance doesn't cover my purchases at Lens Crafters. Fortunately, my insurance company reimburses a small percentage of whatever I spend. The selection at Lens Crafters is always appealing. However, when I went to see their clear frames, they only had 3 pairs to show. I went with a simple pair of clear Ray Bans. I've had them for about a year now and I've had to go back numerous times to get the framed tightened. Seriously, at least 10 times already. The screws come loose and the arms of the glasses get blown out. The girls at Lens Crafters say that it's because I take my glasses off with one hand, but I always do my best to take them off correctly. The employees are really nice about tightening the frames. I'm always pretty frustrated by the time I actually get to the store, so I appreciate them being so kind and friendly. read more

First time I came here was to fix my Cartier seeing glasses which no one dared to touch. They did and it came out pretty good. Second time it was to fix my Gucci shades. Not only did they break the glass lens, the lens was not matched as discussed, instead changed completely. After trying out this red lens had to go back for a third time. I'ts been three days and am still waiting for my Gucci glasses. read more

ONLY GO HERE IF YOU HAVE SIMPLE LENS NEEDS. They will be fine only if: you order a pair that is in the store already (i.e., prepare to wait 2 weeks for frames that have to be ordered), AND if your lenses are simple. Mine needed progressives and high index treatment. After 2 weeks, I went in and they were there. But they were damaged. Ok, reorder. TWO MORE weeks and I am going in there tonight. I paid a TON of money, and this is just a ridiculous waiting period in my opinion. read more

I went in once and put a set of frames on hold, while I figured out insurance. Then I called up to have the lenses done. Apparently they need you to come back in. No thanks, I don't need another sales pitch. No one else requires that. read more

Rude sales woman (girl) who stood too close (close talker) and had garlic breath. $450 for a pair of glasses AFTER insurance. I don't think so! Went somewhere else and got almost the same frames etc for half the price. When will companies learn that if you treat people well, and offer them reasonable prices, you'll have a customer for life. I was really happy with the service I received when I went and picked out glasses, however I was told it would only take 7-10 days for them to be done. I had to call back twice in the next month until finally after a month my glasses were ready. I probably wouldn't use them again. read more

I have purchased many pairs of progressive lenses here. The service is top notch. Chrissy seems to know what questions to ask to help you narrow down your choices and I always walk out feeling like I have found exactly what I wanted. Beware of this business -the owner does not care about informing the customer. Unbelievably and against all logic the staff cancelled our eye appointment as we filled out Insurance forms in the waiting area and never told us that we we would lose our time slot simply because we were 10 minutes late. When faced the fact that they did not tell us we would lose our appointment, they simply smiled and told us it was our fault. I can see how the owner might have corrected his/her staff from being blatantly rude, but it doesn't excuse living in a world where the customer doesn't matter enough for them to bother taking the time to mention their policy. A policy that goes against every doctors office policy. Basically, it's a meat factory and they don't like anything that just disrupts the flow of mindless work. The customer, by the way, was a 71-year-old woman who finally got the nerve to come in for an eye exam. Faced with the possibility of having to sit for one more hour, she abruptly left. Congratulations, LensCrafters you have proven that customers don't matter to you. And I will happily take my business elsewhere where a well informed and properly managed staff will treat me and my friend better. read more

Yesterday I purchased a pair of very expensive glasses at Lens Crafters in Springfield, Pa. Today went to pick them up and I was very happy with them. I asked them if they could take the Ray-Ban glasses I purchased from them last June and make them into prescription sunglasses. They told me that it wouldn't be a good idea because the arms were loose on the glasses and the eye pads were not sturdy. I told the manager that I had been back three or four times this year to have them adjusted and each time was told it would be fine. Now these glasses, that I paid $540 for last June, are worthless. I have purchased Ray-Ban's in the past and never had problems with them.. When I asked how a pair of glasses, expensive glasses, could be worthless after one year I was told they're not worthless they're just not worth putting new lenses in to. Does that make any sense at all? I left saying that they've lost me as a customer, and that I would certainly not recommend them. She said nothing. They have absolutely no sense of customer service or courtesy. Dianne Shames Media,Pa. read more

Don't do business with them if you care about customer service. Purchased 2 pair of glasses (totally over $850). Bought a pair of Maui Jim prescription sunglasses (cost nearly $500.00). In the first summer of use the nose pad broke (cost me $50 to get fixed-ok no big deal). Then in the second summer of use (careful-not leaving them in the sun or my glovebox, using LensCrafters cleaning solution and cloths, etc) my sunglasses are almost useless due to a strange fogging issue that appear on both lens. Tried to get LensCrafters help to fix the problem, their reply was sorry the glasses are 4 months over their warranty and there is nothing they can try and do. That just sucks... $500 prescription sunglasses and they are just blowing me off. They have nice glass frames here but, you better hope that your glasses don't develop any problems because they do not support their products. BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE-BEWARE read more

I've been going to this LensCrafters location for years. I've never had a bad experience here. But at my last visit I experienced exceptional service and I believe some accolades are due. I was greeted by Rowland, very nice, who explained the glasses, options, etc. Then I went about choosing and trying on options. I was narrowed down to 3-4 pairs when I noticed another employee, Cody. He was friendly and approachable. I immediately asked his opinion, he was sooo helpful. He gave me his honest opinion, he liked the pair that I liked most also. I was, however, concerned about the cost. The ones I really wanted were a little more than I had planned to spend. Cody understood my concern and discussed options with me. He explained the current promotion (2nd set at 40% off), the different types of lenses (AR, blue IQ). He priced out everything individually for me on his I pad so that I could see the exact price of the glasses and frames, as well as each options additional charge. We discussed everything and decided on the best, most appropriate options for me, my glasses and the lifestyle I lead (when I wear my glasses most.) Cody was super friendly and knowledgeable. He walked me comfortably through the whole process and answered all of my questions. Not only does he have a gift for working with people, he also has great style which helped me trust his opinion on my new glasses. I just picked them up today and I love them! Cody is great at his job and though I'm sure the other employees are equally great, I definitely suggest you ask for Cody, you'll not be disappointed! read more

I recently ordered two pairs of glasses and here and the service could not be worse. The selection is ok. I found my glasses and I believe it was the manager asked me to sit a one of the tables, he did not indicate how long the wait would be but it was a long wait, probably 30 minutes, if I had known it was going to be that long I would have come back another day. It was not their fault they were busy so my issue is with once I was actually being serviced. The person assisting me could not have been more distracted, he was getting up every 30 seconds to queue other customers, answering the phone, looking around the room as he was asking me for important information and entering my glass information. Then for some reason their credit card processor was down so they have to call in and manually provide the info but they didn't really know the process on how to do so so he makes three calls and waits on hold. When he is finally able to provide the information he literally yells my credit card information, with my security code, across the a crowded floor. As I am leaving he tells me one pair will be ready in an hour and the other pair will take about a week. A week goes by and I have not heard anything so I call, it ends up he entered my phone and email address incorrectly as he was rushing. It does not seem like there are a ton of good options but I would avoid this place. Also be cautious on the 'discounts' most don't work if you have any insurance benefits and they are very sneaky about getting the $50 warranty in, so ask. read more
