I came in for my appointment. The place had 2 young ladies working the front and a gentleman working directly behind on the eyeball testers! Issue: Its crazy when people speak out of there assholes and make assumptions about certain things covered in people's plans! 1 out of the 2 was doing a great job while the Side-Buster not even involved in checking me in was speaking like she saw my paperwork and knew what the hell was covered and what I needed! Not our greatest experience. People skills were definitely lacking in a lot of the staff. No one was unkind by any means, though. Didn't vibe with the doctor, so we cancelled the remaining appointments with our family members. Now no matter how many times I hit "unsubscribe" I still can't get off their email list. Didn't find it very affordable, but that could just be me not researching enough. Did the job though. Got glasses and contacts to the tune of $400ish dollars. read more

I got new reading glasses. Went home and they were the wrong prescription. I couldn't see fine print better than over the counter ones. I begged for a recheck on my eyes. They yelled at me and said it was the right prescription and they were not going to do anything about it. I accidentally dropped them off the counter. Oh that's $150 to replace the frames.. I'm currently just waiting to get my contacts first of all I went to the fashion place location I called ahead lady told me to come in and get them and when I went she told me she can't find me in the system that I will have to go to this location which is okay I love them over there but here at this location they didn't greet me or even ask me what I need or tell me they will be right with me the customer service is definitely not the best here at all. I've been waiting almost 30 mins and they still haven't said anything and I really need these contacts just the trial pair it's just upsetting that I needed to drive over here just for them to not even help me out. I've been coming to visionworks for about 10 years. I've always had a good, processional experience. The friendly staff has helped me pick out contacts, glasses frames and sunglasses. I always come home with the cutest frames! I also take my young son here for his eye check ups and they do really well with him as well! I've had lasik now and am still coming for my check ups, but no longer need glasses/contacts. read more

I am STILL waiting for my sunglasses that I ordered the end of May. This was over six weeks ago. I was told it take approx a week originally I STILL have no answers. I have stopped in and called several times. I have ordered 7 pairs of designer frames with progressive lenses from Vidionworks at the Sandy and Lehi locations. This is unacceptable. I had ordered two pair this time. I picked up "the 2 of 2" as you called it on June 7th. I DO NOT know what else to do. I DO NOT HAVE "1 of 2". I have not received an explanation or apology from anyone. I have been told they would call back and didn't. I was told they we're REORDERED for the 3rd time (over two weeks ago--STILL NOTHING. I am wondering if I have been scammed. I need answers. I would like to pick up the sun glasses that I pre-paid $$ for or get my money back. I have run out of patience. read more

I've only been two times but have had an overall good experience. I really like that when you sign in, they provide you with a sheet describing the tests and the associated fees. Jayden (I believe) has been very helpful. Only downfall is my prescription sunglasses took longer than expected to be done; but they were good at keeping me updated. I have been a customer at Visionworks for 5 years now. The Doctor is very kind and knowledgeable. In the past the staff members were as well. They were always several steps ahead of me and extremely professional. Upon walking in they already had my information ready and explained my benefits thoroughly. I went in two days ago and this was not the case. Granted, it's been a year since I've gone in for my exam and glasses. The first thing I noticed was how stressed they seemed as they communicated with each other. I didn't recognize them so I am assuming they're new. From filling out paperwork to half of my exam the process was sloppy and stressful. It used to be seamless. The two staff members went back and forth between deciding who could start the exam. During my exam I had placed my head into the instrument and didn't have my forehead close enough into the head strap. After anticipating the puff of air for 5 minutes, (she couldn't get it to work) the staff member placed her hand on top of my head and pulled it forward (not hard, just uncomfortable and out of the norm). As she was figuring out how to use the machines she had to call the other staff member in. Their communications styles felt abrasive. They weren't rude by any means, just rushed and all over the place. Then, they informed me my insurance only covered my exam. I asked two more times for them to double check because I have great benefits and haven't had new glasses in over a year. They had to go back and forth on different computers and kept coming back with the same result. They then advised I had a copay if $8.60. Weird? It's typically 10 through insurance companies. I then met with the Doctor. He was wonderful as usual. When I returned to the front I took my printed prescription to take else where. One of the old staff members had returned (who is great and knows what she's doing) and helped me finish up. As soon as I left I looked up my benefits and sure enough I have $130 towards frames, free exams, and a $10 copay. Visionworks was also on the list of approved providers. I had also called before I even scheduled my exam to confirm. It was just frustrating because I took time off work and found a baby sitter for my newborn to get glasses since I lost mine and left with nothing I needed. I have found another Doctor. read more

We recently visited Visionworks to purchase glasses and were extremely pleased with both the knowledgeable staff and Dr Parry. Our eye appointments were thorough and Dr Parry took the time to answer each question we had and made sure our prescription was perfect. He was also patient and kind with each of my children. The staff was extremely knowledgable about our insurance coverage and help me pick out a great pair of glasses. They also have a great selection of on-trend glasses! Dr. Perry took the time to answer all my questions and spent about 1 hour with me. Very chatty, outgoing staff. Felt like I was in California (except the Tahoe area, apparently). the past three years i have seen a personal owned eye doctor. it's had gotten more and more expensive with every visit. i decided to use a premier provider with my insurance and picked visionworks!!! i almost cried as i finished up. they listened to me, they didn't charge me any more than they should have and they walked me through how it would be best to use my insurance to get the most benefits!! i left so happy and will definitely go back!! thank you!!! read more

Terrible experience. Got my first set of prescription contacts here. Super high pressure sales where they try to upsell you on every single thing and make you feel like an idiot if you don't upgrade. Also got glasses for when my contacts weren't in. Sales staff was very opinionated on the frames I picked to the point where I ended up with some I don't love. The ones I picked they told me didn't look good on me. Shouldn't have listened and gone with my gut, but again- high pressure. Buyer's remorse for sure. So I got home and tried out my contacts. I couldn't see anything up close, including reading my phone screen, which had never been a problem with my rx glasses before. Not sure if the eye doc got it completely wrong or if they gave me the wrong rx or if I was never a good candidate for contacts and they just didn't bother to tell me so they could take my money. So frustrating!!! They were so annoying to deal with the last thing I want to do is go back. Also want to note that after I attended the store I had checked reviews on here and there were SO MANY horrific reviews on here. Wished so badly I had checked before I went. And now I see that those reviews are not on here. I'm not sure how they got them removed, but seriously buyer beware! read more

had a very interesting experience here earlier today. first of all, we were a "walk in" and they had us make an appointment to come back later. When we did come back for my eye exam, the workers were very slow and seemed to be in no rush at all, almost incompetent. Doctor Perry was rude and abrasive, when I asked him what my prescription was his response was along the lines of "I don't think you'd understand if I told you anyways". He also nipped at me for laying my hand on the equipment and would rudely interrupt me when I was asking questions. At the end when we went to purchase the frames and lenses, they took 25+ minutes typing into the computer before admitting they didn't know what to do. not a good experience, we left without buying anything. read more

The only reason I am giving one star is because I have to & because the people working at this location are very friendly. However, I have never experienced such a complicated process to get glasses. I was told my glasses would be ready in two weeks. It took closer to two months (I had already paid almost $400 for these glasses) and when I called to check on them, I got the run around. To "fix" the problem, they offered me a free pair of glasses which was great but the free pair took another month & when they came in, no one called me. I had to call in and they flat out lied to me and said they called me on the 15th of February. I went back through my phone and messages and they had never contacted me. When I got the free pair of glasses, the lenses were scratched and had bubbles in them, making it impossible for me to wear them. I took them back & they were fixed within a week. When I went to pick them up, they were supposed to size them to my head, which they failed to do. I will now have to take them to a different location or company to get them properly fitted to my face. To top everything off, when I went in to order contacts, the employee working was so distracted by other things, she pulled up the wrong information, had me pay on that person's account, and didn't even notice. Luckily, I was paying attention to the receipt they tried to have me sign. The employee pulled up the right account after I brought it to her attention but I ended up getting double charged and had to contact my bank to get a refund.
