Our family's journey with InVision and Dr. Brenden White began in 1998 shortly after my 11yr old daughter was diagnosed with Type 1 Juvenile Diabetes. I had just picked her up from school and we were listening to the radio as I drove home when and advertisement came on and Dr. White was talking about the importance of eye care especially for pediatric diabetic patients. He was so knowledgeable about how diabetes affected the eyes and the importance of optical exams. He came across as a caring and compassionate man and Optometrist, so when we got home I called and made an appointment. He gave the most thorough examination I had ever seen and he explained everything showing my daughter how her eye looked from the inside and explained the different parts and how healthy veins looked etc. I was extremely impressed by how he talked with her and not just me (because I'm her mom and she was only 11)! This shows how much respect he has for others including children. I knew immediately he was the doctor for our family. He still continues to explain his process during the examination even after 27 years which I love because understanding how your body works makes it more likely you will take better care of yourself, in my opinion anyways. 5 Star experience always. I saw some negative comments about Dr. White, which can't be correct because he is a soft spoken gentleman who has always been professional. I think those comments made it to the wrong site or those people were looking for issues to be angry at. Anyways you can't go wrong with InVision as your eye specialist but if there ever is an issue then be respectful and take it up with him,I'm sure it can be resolved. read more

I've been a patient at Invision for over 25 years. The eye doctors and their staff are great however, the optometrist office has become a disaster. The pair of glasses I got are useless. Got my glasses and I couldn't read with it. The measurement was off. They re-did it and now I cannot see far way. When I put the glasses on, it makes me dizzy, my vision is out focus. I explained that the frame I got does not work for me and they would have to make it right in finding a solution. Their response: crickets.... read more

Absolutely absurd experience at Invision. I didn't know an optometrist office could be run poorly, normally it's a pretty straightforward once a year event but this has definitely opened my eyes (pun intended). I had to call 4 times across 2 days before I got ahold of someone here and never got a call back. On the 5th call, once I did finally get ahold of someone, 15 minutes into the call I still didn't have an appointment and had to go to a meeting and asked them to call me back in an hour which they agreed to do. 4 hours later after not receiving a call I had to call back in twice more over the next day to finally get ahold of someone and start all over once again. All I needed was a standard annual appointment and a corneal topography. They stated that this was no problem and part of their routine annual exam anyway. The next day I got another call from them in which they said (direct quote) "I'm just wondering why you want the corneal topography..." firstly, that's none of your concern, secondly, you already stated it was standard practice so why does it matter? 2 days before my appointment I get another call which I miss and they left a voicemail saying they moved my appointment a day earlier (without my permission) but I decide I'm already this deep so let's just finish it out. I show up to my appointment and the receptionist says that my appointment is tomorrow (the original time). At that point I cancelled my appointment because this is just insanity. You would think it would end there but 2 hours later I get a reminder for my appointment which I had canceled in person earlier that day. I have no idea how this place is still open, maybe the doctors are phenomenal. I truly can't speak to them and their expertise as I couldn't even get that far. You need a complete overhaul of your entire operating procedures. Good luck! read more

I haven't even gotten as far as receiving a prescription yet and I still have a glowing review to leave. I was so scared when I walked into Invision. I had been experiencing diabetic floaties in my left eye for some months now, and by the time I was able to get an appt the vision in my left eye was like a water droplet on still water... Ripples. From the minute I walked in the staff made me feel taken care of and that I was in good hands. The tech that was helping me go through all of the initial eye tests made me feel comfortable even though I was very anxious. I knew my prognosis would not be great and Dr Craven confirmed this when she came in to speak to me. She explained thoroughly what I was facing and the next steps needed. Basically, I could be considered legally blind in my left eye as of that moment. And yet, as scary as it all is/was, she and the whole team really made me feel hopeful and positive and encouraged. They were able to get me an appointment with a retinal specialist within 48 hours, which is where the next step of my journey is continuing. A huge thank you to Invision! Have you ever looked and looked for someone to help your health and almost given up thinking it will never happen? That is a terrible feeling and I was born with terrible eyesight. I have been to several Doctor's in two states and still could not find anyone to help me. Then I went to Invision and met Dr. Capstick. She is a Goddess and has helped me so much. In the late 80's I had RK Surgery. This was way before LASIK. The Dr. free handed cutting my cornea with deep and uneven cuts but I could finally see. Then time has a way of taking things away like your vision and my Corneas were too damaged to help. Dr. Capstick specializes in helping people like me. She told me of new contacts that fit over your whole eye and improve your vision. It's a laborious process to get them just right but she never gave up and they are now being made as I type this. Not only is she amazing at this but she helped get my husband glasses that worked. My Mom learned from her that she had some serious issues coming up with her eyes. She fixed her too. The Staff is beyond wonderful, they know you by name after one visit the office is beautiful and I am beyond thankful that Dr. Capstick went to school for so long so she could help me. If you need a good eye Dr. or have funky eyes like me. Run to see her I can't be happier and I guess a Big Yellow Seeing Eye Dog is not in my immediate future!! read more

I cannot say enough great things about Invision Eye Health. I randomly picked this place from my Insurance's website since it was close to my home. I was able to get in quickly and was treated very well from the moment I got there. I was offered a test, basically a photo of the back of my eye, that I had never had before. It's not covered by my insurance. It SHOULD be covered by everyone's insurance. By looking at the blood vessels behind the eyes they can not only tell your eye health, but check for markers that could predict heart disease and diabetes. (Possibly others, I don't know). Since I have a family history of heart disease, I was elated to find that not only is my eye health great, but nothing seemed irregular with the vessels. Dr. Craven asked many questions to make sure she was dealing with me as a whole and not just my eyes. I love the time she spent with me. In addition, I had frames from a previous pair of glasses that I love. I asked them if they would be able to use the same frames for my new glasses. I expected them to say no, because they would want to sell me a new frame. The technician looked at them and, to my surprise, said "yes". Then came the disclaimer that I would have to sign a 'waiver' in case they broke the frames while working on them. I was certain they would accidently break them and I would need to purchase a new pair. I mentioned to the technician that I was going on vacation and would like to have them back by a certain day if at all possible. They had originally given me a date several days past that. To wrap this up, my glasses arrived in plenty of time for my trip in the frames I had provided. The customer service was outstanding. Every step of the way, everyone was professional, friendly and very knowledgeable about their product. I am so happy to have a new pair of glasses with a new prescription in the frames that I love. I could tell the technician went above and beyond to make this happen. read more

If you need to have your eyes checked, Dr. Brittany Capstick is the BEST! Besides being a super nice person, she is an excellent O.D. She also helped my aging mother with her glaucoma. From the beginning to the end of my appointment everyone was kind and helpful. I have never had an exam that thorough, I was very impressed. Dr. White was great and took the time to answer my questions. The staff made sure to clean and disinfect everything throughout my exam which was comforting. I have gone to Invision for several years and had numerous problems with them with every single time having my prescription messed up. I kept coming back because it's close to my home and after a few visits they would try to make it right . But my latest experience is the last straw. I have had an ongoing eye infection. Wanted to be seen for this during a flare they told me it wasn't " important or urgent" so could only schedule me in 3 WEEKS LATER! They had total disregard for me and my eye health. I could tell they care less so I now drive 30 minutes away to a doctor and clinic who does cares. Makes me so mad after all the years I have gone in and the patience I had put in with them. read more

I have been going to Invision for over 10 years. Every year I get more and more disappointed and have reached my limit and will not be going back, nor will my family. My husband and myself have both been there in the past month and both of us had issues with the products and feel like every time we go there, there is an issue with how they bill and charge. They are definitely a more expensive service location but I have been okay paying that price but it dawned on me this last time why they nickel and dime you for everything. For a basic eye exam for contacts you are handed off 5-6 employees from check in to check out so they obviously have to justify every employee by charging so much. The last couple interactions they have miscommunicated pricing on our contacts and made us go back multiple times to pay the correct (more) amount. My one positive comment about this place is that the technology they use and the actual optometrist are great. However, with all the other issues we will not go back and they just lost a family with bad vision who clearly needs their contacts and glasses to see! read more

I went in for my 2:45 appointment, didn't get seen until 3:15. The front desk ladies were not nice and didn't say "Have a nice day!" when I left. She definitely let her bad mood come out at work, and she gave me a hard time about getting sample contacts. One bad apple ruins a bunch, so I'll be taking my eyes elsewhere. read more

I just experienced the Lipiflow treatment by Dr. White at Invision Eye Health. I have to admit, I was a bit anxious going in, but I am so glad I put my fears aside because my eyes feel great now and the procedure involved minimal discomfort. Dr. White and his team used the latest technology to diagnose whether or not I needed this treatment and then took the steps to unblock the glands that were causing my dry eyes and irritation. Outstanding examination by Dr. White and his kind and engaging staff. They were very professional, with the latest equipment handled well and quickly. The office is handsomely decorated, easily accessed with good parking. Could not be more pleased by their kind and attentive service. This place is completely incompetent. The only actual part of my experience that went well was the eye exam. Here's a list of the errors that I encountered while just trying to order replacement lenses for my reading glasses. This was not a special case in any way shape or form; just a straight, traditional pair of reader glasses. Mistake #1: They ordered the wrong type of replacement lenses for my glasses despite me having the original lenses in hand and the technician looking at them. She ordered bi-focal, transition lenses - neither of which were on my original lenses. The price came to $375 which I didn't think seemed right given I had full vision insurance coverage. In hind sight, they were scamming me. I went home and pulled out the receipt from my last set of lenses and physically had to take that to them so they could order me the right lenses. Mistake #2: After explaining over and over again that I had full vision coverage they still insisted I needed to pay out of pocket. It wasn't until I physically brought in the print out from my insurance company that explained covered benefits that they agreed I required a refund but they couldn't give me a refund that day for whatever reason requiring a THIRD TRIP. Mistake #3: I had to physically come back into the building for them to credit my account, they couldn't just reverse the charges on my card over the phone. Mistake #4: After several weeks of waiting for the new lenses to arrive I inquired about the status to be told that the technicians said they couldn't replace the lenses in my glasses. No one ever called me to tell me this nor provided a reason as to why. I am curious how much time would have passed before they actually notified me of the problem. After four weeks time, four trips to the office and still no lenses I have walked out of that place for the last time with a full refund and am taking my business elsewhere. But this was not before being told "Don't shoot the messenger, I'm just explaining the problem. I didn't handle this order." When in fact, this particular person DID assist me in the past. When I called her out on it, she proceeded to become very rude and argumentative. Incidentally, when I was waiting for them to come up with another excuse on their failure to execute, another client came in expressing another problem. My situation was not an isolated incident. This place has a pattern of bad client care. This place is riddled with problems. I would not recommend this place anyone, ever! read more

Dr. White is extremely rude and arrogant. I have been going to this center for at least 7 years now, which is at least a 30-minute drive from where I live. When I do anything related to optometry, he always fails and his other doctors succeed, which is probably why some of his ther doctors have start their own businesses. He charges a TON of hidden fees. The receptionists are never straightfoward with fees, and abuse obscanturism and ambiguity in order to get away with your money. They will tell you that your insurance covers the annual exam, conduct the exam, then charge you a bunch of fees. Contact fee, ortho-k fee (which we didn't even do that day), etc. When we didn't have insurance, he didn't charge us, but he never told us that it was a loan, and we got insurance, he put the antecedent check-ups on our bill. When we asked why there were hidden fees, the doctor got upset with the excuse that they "are a business." They're receptionists are also low-grade and substandard. I have young children around and I occasionally hear the staff make sexual jokes. Their clothing is more immodest than a McDonald's employee. Does the "doctor" not understand that there are young children around who don't need to see such personal body parts? Don't be fooled by their website and gimcrack "technology" because that's the only thing there that is seemingly professional. No one cares so much about the technology that they no longer care about the doctor. You can have the best of everything, but if you have the poorest owners, they can't get anywhere. Don't go here unless if you want to donate money to a bourgeosie who exploits his customers for money! read more

The staff is friendly, the doctor very nice. However they charge a "contact management fee" they can't explain exactly why except that it's to make sure your contacts fit, so I've been wearing contacts since I was 15 and my prescription didn't change, yet I had to pay $70 just for them to manage I don't know what. Their chart said if the prescription changes 0.5 or less then it's $45, I still got charged $70 for no reason because I am a new client. Oh so you don't want new people. That's fine, I'll never come back here again. read more

Could not be more impressed. I'm a new customer, I called and got an appointment the same day, when i showed up for my appointment they called my name at the exact time i was scheduled. The transition from person to person was seamless no long waits in a damp waiting room. I saw Dr. Sargent, I was one of his later appointments and you would have thought i was his first appointment of the day, he was friendly and very diligent. He passed me off on to stacey who helped me pick out glasses, she gave me very informed opinions on frames and lenses and then took extra time to make sure i got the best deal possible. Not to mention they delivered glasses in a timely manner. Often times in the health care business i find offices taking customers for granted, didnt feel that way at all here. read more

I have to say I am very disappointed with this place. I expected a lot more. First they prescribed me progressive lens for my reading glasses and I have mono vision due to having lasik on one eye so I would not have to have glasses. Progressive lens apparently do not work so well with my eyes and they were very expensive 400 $. They DO NOT do refunds however they did give me back 100 $ for the replacement of the lens to the regular kind. I picked up my glasses today and after getting home with them I am still not happy with these lens. I can only see very close up and have to hold everything about 4 inches from my face to use them, other wise everything is blurry. Just holding my laptop on my lap and trying to read everything is blurry. Will I go back here? I DO NOT think so. Very disappointed read more

Invision is awesome. Kelsie spent a lot of time and patience with me in deciding on a new pair of prescription sunglasses. She was very good at explaining the different options available for the lenses and helped me get out of my comfort zone and find something new. My expectations of an Optometrist are basic. Check my eyes and grab a prescription. This was more WAY more than that. Dr. Chapstick made the health of my eyes a top priority, even being referred to a specialist for and the personal follow up from her on more than one occasion. Being consistent and really making sure it was being maintained with every option. Her receptionist's make sure my appointments are taken care, even making the future meetings for the referred specialist. They have great innovative technology to easily check the health of your eye and vision. The fact that you are in a beautiful designed environment also makes you feel that you are being taken care of. read more

I'm am sad to say that I'm extremely disappointed with this place, and will not be returning. I wish I had checked yelp before making an appointment. I had given them my insurance information early and confirmed that I would only be charged $5 for the exam, I told them I only wear contacts. When I got there, they told me that for the exam for contacts was an additional $62 on on top of the $5! This was entirely wrong but they were insistent and I did not want to reschedule with someone else. I did confirm with my insurance company after, and they agreed that I should not have been charged that additional fee. The doctors assistant did the entire eye test and the doctor only came in after just to confirm everything. So I don't see how that charge was in any way justified. I was also told that I would be able to drive home fine after having my pupils dialated and was not given any temporary sun glasses. I barely was able to drive home because I couldn't see anything! My eyes remained dialated for several hours, so my whole day was ruined. I won't do that again. read more

Show up for a routine eye exam, they bring up your dry eye which you have had for 15 years, and they bill you as diagnostic and are extremely rude when you call to say they billed inaccurately. read more
