The Dr was thorough and friendly! They took an image of my eye to compare with last time. It was a good exam!

I am well pleased with my eye care here. The office space is great; it's on the first floor near…read morethe west side of the building and conveniently located. During my exam, I could hear the doctors next door talking to their patient... but that was really the only criticism I had! They had so many machines I hadn't seen before and some traditional technology I'm used to. No need for dilation either! They spared no exam for my eye health. The cost was very reasonable! I get eye exams yearly and they went above and beyond most other places I have been. I don't have vision insurance by choice, and they happily gave me a lens prescription and measured my PD as well without giving me the run around. They also helped me with the possibility of contacts and even tried some on, which I just couldn't tolerate but haven't completely written off due to the amazing staff. The glasses here are pricy; However, you're paying for a service that other places wouldn't do for you. I would've gone to Costco or somewhere less expensive but the staff's amazing customer service is worth the extra cost. I had new piercings on my ear cartilage that were being snagged by my old glasses; Athena sat with me and found me some frames that would work with my piercings and I bought two pairs! I didn't even know the frame's legs mattered so much. She even went above and beyond and adjusted my existing pair and fixed and adjusted my old favorite pair that I bought elsewhere to be more comfortable while I waited for my pairs to come in. She took her time to help me and you can absolutely tell how much she loves what she does and is willing to help you however you need it. She requested a rush for me as well for free and I really appreciate the willingness to help! The staff is gold and they joke around and appear happy to be there so I'm recommending everyone to this place!

I called back left a message, never received a call back. I could have gotten some sort of follow up. It is a big in convenience that I have had to wait so long to get my glasses.

I've been coming here the past several years and I've recommended many of my coworkers to Healthy Eyes for Life!!

I cannot see through them clearly. The vision is blurred in every part of the lenses except in one narrow spot. The lenses cast halos and prisms during night driving with oncoming headlight traffic, and the progressive lenses are not gradual, nor do they do the job they are intended to do. I still need to remove my glasses to read. The lenses make everything very wavy when you move your head. That did not go away over time as I was told. When viewing the world through this pair of glasses, everything has a yellow hue to it. The glasses gave me constant headaches and eye fatigue, and the right lens kept falling out of the frame because the screw was stripped out at the lab. I paid an astronomical amount ($1000!!!) for the eyewear, even with my insurance, which is very curious because Dr. J. Kimball and his office are covered on my plan and I picked frames that should have been covered on my plan as well. When I questioned the exorbitant cost, the man that does the insurance work told me that it was because of my deductible. I personally think the cost was due to fraud on Healthy Eyes for Life's part. To be having this much trouble with my eyewear, and to be horrendously overcharged is grossly sloppy professionalism. In addition to being excessively billed for subpar services, and provided with faulty eyewear, the office staff would not work with me to resolve the problem. They would not return phone calls. They would not give a direct answer on how they were going to make my deplorable eyewear correct. When I was in the office, the front desk receptionist yawned a big inconsiderate yawn when I was trying to talk with her. Very unprofessional, disrespectful, and dishonest. Dr. J. Kimball may be a good optometrist, but his office practices and substandard office staff ruin his reputation. I became fed up with the unprofessionalism and dishonesty and ended up going to Vision Source; an optometry practice my insurance recommended and said they'd cover. When I went to my appointment, I learned that the left lens of my eyewear was ground incorrectly. I couldn't even read the top line of the eye chart with that lens. No wonder I was experiencing eye fatigue! The progressives were also done incorrectly for my prescription, and the right lens was incorrect by a slight margin with neither lens being centered correctly. I now have eyewear that provides me with crisp vision, the progressives work the way they should, and I no longer have headaches or eye fatigue. I also can drive at night without halos and prisms being cast with the oncoming headlight traffic. The cost was in line with what one would expect it to be with insurance. I paid a fraction of the cost of what I paid at Dr. J. Kimball's office. Plus, the doctor was exceptional, and the staff was professional, courteous, and knowledgeable. I will never go back to Healthy Eyes for Life, nor will I recommend them to anyone. Their services are unprofessional and incompetent, and their eyewear is unsatisfactory and inferior.

We found Classic Optical several years ago and since then we won't go to other optometrist or even just to get eyeglasses. Dr. Michael Conklin is always checking our eyes very carefully and thoroughly to make sure we have no serious issues. He will not recommend expensive surgery if we don't need it now. Staffs are super friendly and kind. Make sure we get the best benefit with insurance and what we like when we look for frames. They will never force to purchase expensive eyeglasses unless we want to. What else you can ask for? Thank you so much! We found a great optometrist and staffs that we can trust!

I…read morereally appreciate their stance and approach on their profession here, and above all their professionalism. Having had good eyes for most of the 34 years of my life, all I had previously had to deal with at the opticians was to get my regular health check, have them say I was tip-top, and to see them again the next year. However In 2011 I had an instance of Iritis (something I don't recommend to anyone - ouch), and since then my left eye has had a slight stigmatism. Dr. Conklin has attended to my last three eye exams, is very pleasant in his demeanour, and will sit and chat with you about any issues, put your mind at ease if you're worried about failing an eye exam miserably, and will explain all the options or requirements that may help you enjoy your eyes a little more than what god has given you ;) Spending 10 hours + a day on a computer of some kind doesn't help my eyes at all, and this time around I took the opportunity to get some "computer glasses" that will fast become my firm campion as I ride out the days in front of my beloved electronic products. As I said, these are my first pair of glasses, and I am thankful that Brian and Liz were on hand to help me not only a) find the right lenses for me, but also b) "hum, ha, ooh and ah!" while I tried on a number of frames. The best part about having some more opinions on the last part is that you try on things you might not usually pick, and I for one am very happy with the not so classic Amy style that I brought home with me. So thanks Classic, and I will continue to come back for my eye health needs as long as you keep up with the amazing service.
