    Where do I start? Oh yes, how about I start with this being the first time I've had an optometrist ask me to provide them with a copy of my prescription from my previous optometrist so they could use it to figure out how to write my current prescription? Or maybe I should start with how the clerks were debating for over 10 minutes...in front of me...about the correct formula to fulfill my prescription properly. No wait, I know how to start this review. I will start with how I only need glasses for reading and the multiple computers monitors I sit in front of 5 days a week for work. Yet, Visionworks has determined that I need glasses for distance, though I passed every single distance test on the eye exam, down to the microscopic letters I read without a problem. They kept trying to push dual sight prescription that would require me to wear glasses all day everyday and conveniently cost waaaay more money. I firmly declined. I was called to pick up my new glasses and got a headache trying to read a card I was holding in front of my face because they filled the prescription for distance. As I don't have a problem with distance, they served me no purpose and did not help for reading. That's when they stated my prescription was complicated...my reading glass/anti-glare with blue light filter prescription that I can buy at any drugstore, was confusing to them. So they asked to copy my former prescription. To take a few miles off this long story, I provided them with the prescription, waited 2 more weeks and they still don't have my glasses ready. Asked them to reinstate my benefits so I could go back to my small former optometrist that I now appreciate so much more!

Lately we've experienced more of the latter and, as a result, will try a different provider next year. Eye exams have always been patient, thorough, and accurate. Last year, the Doctor became mildly irritated with my wife raising concerns about a box of problematic contacts affecting our daughter, as if the issue did not exist. We decided it may be a fluke and came back this year. This year, my son and I have had several problems with eyeglasses we ordered. I asked for Trivex and the best anti-reflective coat available, but we received polycarbonate, Cristal Rock AR on mine, and Cristal Easy Pro AR on my son's. However, my son's lenses have a blue hue in the reflection and Easy Pro should look green (see pic). Additionally, my invoice listed DuraVision Platinum, which would have a blue hue and green is clearly visible in the picture. We did not receive certificates of authenticity for Transitions or Crizal, which both companies say should've been included. It took just over 3 weeks to receive my glasses. Our insurance was blamed, but I would have gladly paid full price and filed a claim directly with them. Instead, no updates were provided and, once I inquired 10 days later, they ordered them after seemingly forgetting. I asked at that time to cancel my order, but they refused. Since receiving the incorrect lenses, I asked to have them replaced, but they again refused.

I took my broken glasses in to see if they could repair - even though I was not a client. Jenny was super kind and helpful and got me sorted out. This happened on a Friday lunch time. I was in and out in a few minutes. Great atmosphere - great service! Highly recommend!

I was greeted with friendly staff, and they called me back to the doctor in a timely manner. Dr. Thomas was incredibly thorough, knowledgeable, informative, and passed information to the assistant who would help finish the customer buying process. The lady who helped me already had my insurance paperwork pulled up. She helped select the lowest cost, picked out glasses selections according to my desired description, and we enjoyed a few laughs. Everyone was friendly and told me bye as I was leaving, quickly inserting that the average time for receiving my glasses was two weeks. I will certainly be back.

Paid for a exam for both glasses and contacts. The doctor got my sons prescription for glasses wrong. Call this practice for a callback...never once returned a call. I called several times. Finally decide to go in and get the prescription just to see if the one my son brought home matched with the one the doctor gave me. Weird thing to do, I know, but I did it anyways. The office manager with the personality of a salted slug, Donna, gave me both the contact and reading glasses prescription. How about both prescriptions were for contacts. I ordered my sons glasses with the contact prescription they sent home with him. He came home with 2 prescriptions of the same. They gave me the same thing...2 prescriptions of the same. I wasted money on an exam that gave me the wrong prescription for glasses and on top of that wasted money on glasses my son cannot use! Me thinks everyone employed here needs to go get their eyes checked from a qualified doctor, because clearly the overall vision at this practice is quite deficient. They are not going to like me darkening their doorstep again but they owe me some glasses or a refund on the eye exam. One or the other!

I wanted to move to daily contacts from the monthly that I was using. she examined me and prescribed some new contacts. after wearing them I was unable to see distant and close up was very large. i called that Monday i was only able to discuss with a associate. she prescribed a new set again slightly better but still off told them distance was fine but wanted a read add. in the middle of what they gave me. the said it didn't exist I said okay then I research and there is a mid add call them back and they said they also discovered this. dr pate gives me another trial with the mid add reading great except she raised the distance -25 I was like what for distance was good so I trust and try after two days of trying my distance at the end of day was so bad and blurry . I called back finally they say they will have the Dr call me the next day great I finally get a call at 2:19 in the afternoon I am working and miss no big deal I get a chance to call back at 430 she is gone for the day it's Wednesday and won't be in till next week. What a crock waits most of the day to call and only once then not available again they say she is the only one who can do it What is the point of having a group of doctors if they are not going to help and take care of the customers worst eyes care experience ever kept changlng without ever talking to me I do not recommend at all I will probably have to go back to pearl vision and get real service

    WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!…read more I am absolutely furious with the treatment my daughter received from Dr. Jang and the front office staff at Pearle Vision. What was supposed to be a routine eye exam turned into an ongoing nightmare that stretched across five separate trips, 3 incorrect prescriptions, and 3 separate orders of contacts needing to be purchased due to THEIR error, negligence, gross incompetence and a complete disregard for patient input. Despite my daughter clearly stating that her previous prescription worked well, Dr. Jang dismissed her concerns outright and insisted on a new prescription -- one that ended up being identical for both eyes, which has never been the case before. She was argumentative, condescending, and refused to even let my daughter try her previous prescription again for comparison. This wasn't a one-time mistake -- it happened FOUR different times, with no accountability or effort to truly listen. The incorrect prescriptions worsened her vision, caused eye strain, double vision, and made her cross-eyed while driving -- a terrifying and dangerous experience. Not only was her day-to-day life disrupted, but she was also left unable to function normally while waiting for each correction attempt to be made. She had to endure blurry vision, black spots, and the added discomfort of contacts that made everything worse. To make matters worse, the strain from all of this triggered severe migraines, which were especially dangerous and debilitating due to a concussion she suffered last November. The careless negligence of Dr. Jang and the unwarranted dismissive rudeness of the front office staff showed throughout this ordeal put my daughter's health and safety at serious risk. We have been loyal customers of Pearle Vision for years -- spending thousands of dollars and even bringing all of our children here. But this experience has completely shattered our trust. We expected professional, compassionate care, and instead got negligence and arrogance. Absolutely unacceptable, horrendous customer service and victim blaming. If you value your vision, TIME, and hard-earned MONEY, do yourself a favor and STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. If it were possible to leave NEGATIVE stars; I'd give them -3 out of 5 stars, and that's me being generous.
