Lately we've experienced more of the latter and, as a result, will try a different provider next year. Eye exams have always been patient, thorough, and accurate. Last year, the Doctor became mildly irritated with my wife raising concerns about a box of problematic contacts affecting our daughter, as if the issue did not exist. We decided it may be a fluke and came back this year. This year, my son and I have had several problems with eyeglasses we ordered. I asked for Trivex and the best anti-reflective coat available, but we received polycarbonate, Cristal Rock AR on mine, and Cristal Easy Pro AR on my son's. However, my son's lenses have a blue hue in the reflection and Easy Pro should look green (see pic). Additionally, my invoice listed DuraVision Platinum, which would have a blue hue and green is clearly visible in the picture. We did not receive certificates of authenticity for Transitions or Crizal, which both companies say should've been included. It took just over 3 weeks to receive my glasses. Our insurance was blamed, but I would have gladly paid full price and filed a claim directly with them. Instead, no updates were provided and, once I inquired 10 days later, they ordered them after seemingly forgetting. I asked at that time to cancel my order, but they refused. Since receiving the incorrect lenses, I asked to have them replaced, but they again refused.

The lady who helped me already had my insurance paperwork pulled up. She helped select the lowest cost, picked out glasses selections according to my desired description, and we enjoyed a few laughs. My youngest daughter needs special glasses, and the doctor carefully explained the different types of bifocals available and helped us understand which option would work best for her. Had them fix it, kept giving it back and when I saw that they couldn't fix it, I just took them and left. Now they sit crooked and my vision is skewed due to the frame being lopsided. The manager could use some help on customer service as well, she seemed short fused when asking ANY questions. I've been here twice, bought 2 pairs of lenses/frames. Should have listened to my gut telling me to find a new place.

Each doctor I've seen has been great. I don't know how someone could be a "bad" eye doctor LOL. The differentiating factor is the front desk staff. They are really strict about being late, and the cutoff is usually 15 minutes. Last year at another nearby location, I even called in advance and because I was 16 minutes late, they said I had to reschedule. And there was no other appointment for weeks. This year I was late as well. However, this location was so nice. They looked at the schedule, and asked the doctor if he could try to squeeze me in. Of course they advised that I would have to sit and wait 30-45 minutes if I wanted to take the chance. I had time so I didn't mind. In the meantime, I looked for new frames. If y'all wear glasses- you know this process can take a long time. About 30 minutes later the doctor was able to see me. I got my exam, and my new prescription. Since I couldn't find new frames I liked that were in my price range, I just opted to get new lenses for my existing frames. They had a great selection in a variety of price ranges- I just happened to like all the ones that were ridiculous haha. When I went back to get my glasses, they were still super helpful and friendly. I called and no on answered (probably busy on another line) and they even called me back! I have never had such excellent service at a MyEyeDr location before.

Not very happy with the service I received today. I received a text that the reading glasses I…read morepicked up were ready. So i went during my lunch period to grab them. At the front desk, they asked me to put them on and everything was blurry at about a distance of 1 foot from my face. Additionally, I tried looking at my phone and it looked distorted in my hand, like it was bending. While waiting the 2 weeks to pick up the glasses I tried a pair of over the counter readers with the same script and had no issues. The only reason I went with these was because the Dr told me it accounted for an astigmatism. I let them know that I was unable to see properly and they took the glasses back to check. When the lady came back, she said, the prescription is what the Dr prescribed. I explained the issues with them and she seemed to blow me off. She said that I would have to be retested. I explained that I can only do appointments on the weekend due to the lack of timing requesting time off as this is not considered an emergency situation. Unfortunately the soonest appointment is April 20th. She scheduled me and said nothing. There was awkwardness at the counter and I asked, did you schedule me. She said yes. So I guess I was done since she said nothing and I left. It was a level of rudeness that I have rarely seen in a customer service oriented business. At no time did they express any concern or care that this mistake is quite inconvenient. They weren't pleasant, apologetic or sympathetic. Mistakes with orders happen, what upset me was the lack of customer service by the front desk staff. They truly deserve to be sacked. In fact, I spoke to the gentleman who helped me order them, who no longer works there and he mentioned that my experience isn't uncommon with the front desk staff. In fact he said the two woman at the front desk were part of the reason he left the company. I will try to resolve the issue with this company but ultimately, I have very little faith. If I have too, I will take the frames and go elsewhere and end up paying out of pocket for a new exam and lenses. I will update this post based on the resolution. UPDATE: I went today to pick up the pair of glasses to give it a few days of letting my eyes adjust to see if they work out. I checked google and yelp to see what time they were open. I get here and they are closed and it's, "by appointment only". Yelp even stated that the hours were updated a month ago. This place is absolutely garbage. It needs new management or shut down. The last 6 months of reviews are horrendous. They can't get their hours correct online and their front desk staff are like the mean girls club. Once I pick up the glasses I'm done. I will encourage everyone I know never to give this company business.
