I went to Hamilton ey clinic over two weeks ago and met with Dr Patel while she was nice. it did feel rushed. I have been using pearl vision. I wanted to move to daily contacts from the monthly that I was using. she examined me and prescribed some new contacts. after wearing them I was unable to see distant and close up was very large. i called that Monday i was only able to discuss with a associate. she prescribed a new set again slightly better but still off told them distance was fine but wanted a read add. in the middle of what they gave me. the said it didn't exist I said okay then I research and there is a mid add call them back and they said they also discovered this. dr pate gives me another trial with the mid add reading great except she raised the distance -25 I was like what for distance was good so I trust and try after two days of trying my distance at the end of day was so bad and blurry . I called back finally they say they will have the Dr call me the next day great I finally get a call at 2:19 in the afternoon I am working and miss no big deal I get a chance to call back at 430 she is gone for the day it's Wednesday and won't be in till next week. What a crock waits most of the day to call and only once then not available again they say she is the only one who can do it What is the point of having a group of doctors if they are not going to help and take care of the customers worst eyes care experience ever kept changlng without ever talking to me I do not recommend at all I will probably have to go back to pearl vision and get real service read more

We came for our yearly appointments and again, to no surprise everything was wonderful. My son and I had appointments with Dr. Treu. He was wonderful. Made the visit fun while putting me at ease about my ever changing prescription. Jessica in optics was by far the best part of this visit. She helped me over the course of two days to find the right glasses for me. She made me look forward to my next visit. read more

Well, it's been over SEVEN WEEKS since my son was seen and he still doesn't have his glasses! He suffers from headaches because he strains his eyes all day at school trying to see the dry erase boards. So, if you're expecting expedient service, go elsewhere. P.S. We were told the delay is not their fault, it's our insurance. ‍ Also, on a positive note, they did send me a copy of my son's prescription and his PD measurements so I could order him glasses elsewhere online. Exam went fine and the doc/tech was pleasant and I was satisfied. Came back to pick up my glasses a week later. The lady handling the "fitting" decided to abruptly turn her attention to another customer when I told her my glasses weren't quite right. Literally in mid conversation she turned to the other customer without a word to me. Very rude. read more

A follow-up to my previous review. Hamilton Mill Eye Cares response my review here on YELP. Google, and their Facebook Page was as follows. 1) They changed their FB page not allowing any customer Reviews, that option is gone and deleting all previous customer reviews including mine. 2) They removed My Like of their FB page so I could no longer see the content of the page 3) They also changed the security so they are able to review and posts to their FB page. And a few minutes ago my insurance company called me to tell me they have spoken to them. They HMEC incorrectly billed the insurance company and that the responsibility for the balance is not mine. read more

I am a person who really really hates going to the eye doctor. But I knew I needed an exam and was new to the area. The receptionist was really thorough and super friendly. She did the leg work for my insurance and was super helpful. The initial tech who helped me was working very fast and not very friendly. I REALLY hate getting things in my eyes so I blink a lot when someone/ something is in or near my eye. I tried to apologize but she just seemed like she was in too much of a hurry to say anything unrelated to my eyeballs. This out me off. The Dr. Was very nice and explained the process to me as she went along and made me feel very comfortable. The person who helped me pick out glasses was great and thorough. I appreciated that she didn't try to steer me into buying super expensive lenses. All in all it was pretty great but the tech was pretty grumpy for someone who works with people. read more

I was new to area and experienced some persistent and uncomfortable eye issues. They were close to the house and took my insurance. I'm glad I went! I was correctly diagnosed with an eye condition that could cause problems later. I was given just what I needed, no extra medication. I went for two more follow ups with Dr. Bhakta. He was thorough and knowledgeable. I took my children back for eye exams with Dr. Desai. She was great, too. No pressure to get their glasses either. Great experience overall. read more

Very disappointed in the service we've received. Earlier this year took my disabled daughter for glasses. They ordered her bifocals which she didn't need and they never told us she was getting bifocals till we picked them up. We had to pay out of pocket to purchase single vision lenses for her. Today my husband had appointment for 1030 (which I had emails to prove) but they were rude and told him it was 11 and he would have to wait. He works 80 hour weeks and doesn't have time to wait. But it was their attitude that made it worse and th3 fact that the lady rolled her eyes at him when he said he couldn't wait. Very un professional. Even after a phone call, they claim no fault. read more

This place did a great job of telling me about every single thing they were testing and took time explaining all the tests and pictures to me. The doctors are great and most of the front desk staff is extremely patient and helpful. The only downfall to this place is waiting a while for your glasses and they say they will text you when they are ready but they fail to do so when they truly are. read more

The constant strive of the lens lab to try and make things right is there is an issue is highly impressive. What started off as a weird issue on one lens launched a full on investigation as to why it kept happening and the team did not quit until a resolution was met. I have been coming here for years and every single time the entire office does not skip a beat. I'm highly impressed as to how well everything is run at this office. The only suggestion I have for this office is to fix their front door! No one wants to be scared by a slamming door when coming in! read more

Had to go to a different eye care facility to get my contacts right. Came in for yearly exam and contact fitting; left with blurry vision due to contacts. Had to wear 3 year old prescription glasses for week and a half before Dr. Desai could fit me in for a second fitting; then treated as if they didn't have time for me, just to send me off with the same incorrect contacts. Got an immediate appointment with Sugarloaf Eyecare where they got it correct the 1st time! DO NOT RECOMMEND!!! read more

My family has been going to Hamilton Mill Eyecare for years. We have always been happy with the optometrists services. The staff is mostly pretty friendly too. Recently their service has gotten incredibly slow, both when seeing the optometrist, and especially when trying to order or pickup eyeglasses. The eyeglass technicians need to be more mindful of clients waiting for help, and ask for assistance from other qualified staff as needed. read more

My son went here for an eye exam. They charged him $615 dollars That's right $615 when you take out the eye exam $75 and another $60 for the contacts exam that means their in-house optical center charged us $480 for a single pair of prescription eye glasses that we the very next day bought online at Zenni Optical for $59.72 this price included the anti reflective coating (which for that alone they charge $179), finger print resistant etc etc. The salesman in that office is nothing short of a used car salesman with the tactics he uses to push that you buy everything. And this is just the beginning. They gave my son a sample set of contacts during his office visit. Within a few days one of the contacts ripped. So I called the office and asked that they do a courtesy replacement of the contact. They refused saying that since my son had decided to purchase his contacts at 1800Contacts (an online vendor) tough shit for us. I promptly reminded them that both my wife and I have been long standing customers at Hamilton Mill Eye Care, I also told them we knew about how grossly inflated and marked-up their onsite glasses are sold at. They would not budge. I asked that the doctor call me back so I could speak to him. A few days later the office personnel not the doctor called back to inform us that they would not replace the contact. Add to that just yesterday I had an appointment at the office for an eye infection. At the not so courteous front desk reception they told me I had a balance of $70.00. I told them No I paid my 2 co-pays of $35.00 and showed them on my phone where I was charged on my checking account. They refused to see me knowing a) I had paid and b) I had an eye infection and had to be seen. Needless to say I did not pay the $70.00 I have found a new Doctor for eye care and as far as I am concerned this place is a STAY AWAY and BEWARE oh yeah and by the way while I was at the office yesterday waiting to be seen I watched an elderly couple on a fixed income being ripped off by the Eye Glasses Sales Guy .... They were saying we cannot afford the glasses on our fixed income meanwhile he kept pitching but you really need the anti-glare on these glasses and it costs $179.
