I was in need for an updated prescription and glasses. I am glad I came here after trying checking out a couple of other places. What drew me in to For Eyes was the two glasses deals and price point. I was able to make an appointment the same day which was also a big plus. Another place I went to would not have an appt availability for an eye checkup until 2 days later. I was immediately greeted upon arrival. Su Yeon was great. She was friendly, patient, and helpful. She answered all of my questions and also helped me narrow down my search and suggested some frames based on what I was looking for. Dr Patel was wonderful. He was prompt, friendly, and had great bedside manners. He was thorough and efficient. He was knowledgeable and answered my questions I had. Also, I was able to get in a few minutes earlier than my scheduled appointment which I appreciated. I always really appreciated how clean the store was, the hand sanitizers throughout the showcase room, and that both the doctor and For Eyes teammates were all wearing masks. It made me feel safer in these wild times of Covid. Really wonderful experience! I will definitely be coming here for my eyewear needs and eye checkups. read more

Let's get this straight!!!!! My children and I have been coming to this location for years. And I never encountered such unprofessional, inhospitable attitudes up until this point. Now! When I first walked in I was greeted with a DRY hello like........ "OMG!! Here comes another customer" This chick was tending to another customer at the time. But!! Their was one more chick that never approached me nor greeted me all the 20 minutes I was purposely standing there. Looking at there minimal, out dated style supplies of frames. So! After the one chick that was helping the already there customer finished up. She proceeded to go and talk to the other chick about what they wanted to eat. NEVER COMING TO ME TO ASK IF I NEEDED HELP!!!!! I MEAN, WTF!!!! Needless to say I turned around and walked to the door. Then this chick had the nerve to say have a nice day. YOU KNOW I GAVE HER A B**** PLEASE LOOK. I will call in the morning to complain about the lack of professionalism in this office now. read more

Do not waste your money at this optical store. The manager is so rude and unprofessional. The glasses are way overpriced and they will scam you. They also do not bill according to your insurance agreement so they will knowingly overcharge you. Most of the frames in there can be found online for a third of the price, same brand model, everything. For example I bought a frame there for $209, it broke and I tried replacing it. They wanted to charge me $209 for the replacement. I found the same EXACT frame/model on EZContacts for $75 !! popped in my lenses and was good to go. If you see a frame in there that you like, take a picture of it as well as the model# on the frame handle then google it. shop at EZCONTACTS.COM or ZENNIOPTICAL.COM before wasting your money here. Easy going and nice,friendly service. My son needed a high power prescription and not everyone can fill his prescription in kid size lenses- I'm relieved they made the process so easy and didn't make a big deal about his prescription being so strong. Also they are faster returning than other labs we have used before. Great selection of glasses and no pressure selling. I jumped on the BOGO deal and with my insurance it was very affordable. Yeah I found my new favorite eyeglass shop. Update- today we picked up our second pair and the staff was different, therefore our experience unfortunately was a tad different. It wasn't as friendly and our salesperson didn't adjust my sons glasses even after I asked her about it...hmmm. Both of the glasses were wonderful though and my son loves them. read more

Several of the clerks who work at this location are very nice and hospitable. What my problem is my glasses. I've been waiting over 2 weeks. The first pair came in and the lenses didn't stay put in the frames. There was another problem with the other pair so they couldn't ship it. I've bought glasses at many other places and never have waited this long. Needless to say I won't come here again, nor will I endorse it. UPDATE: There is one exceptional employee Lulema. There were multiple problems with my glasses as mentioned above, but she called me every couple of days to keep me updated. Her voice is very calm, she apologized time and time again despite it not being her fault. She is a real sweetheart!!! read more

My intuition started ringing alarm bells the moment I walked into For Eyes. I wasn't greeted warmly and the place feels cramped and uninviting. I had to walk up to the counter and tell them I had an appointment to which I was just told to wait. While I was waiting, I noticed several ceiling tiles with water damage. Why is that relevant? I'm not very handy, but even I know drop ceiling tiles cost about $5 and are extremely easy to pop in and out. If the business owner doesn't even care enough about how the office looks to spend $50 and 20 minutes replacing stained ceiling tiles, what does that say about how the business is run? When it was my turn, someone came and told me to go to the back. I had to ask, "How do I get there?" I had never been there before and the way to the "back" wasn't obvious. Once I got to the back, I was administered all the normal tests. The woman operating the glaucoma test was not good at it and I had to sit through about 5 or 6 puffs of air in my eyes instead of the usual one for each eye. The doctor seemed competent enough, did my refraction, and then said it looked like I had pressure in one of my eyes. Then he did the glaucoma test yet again himself, and said nope, it's normal. I picked up my prescription and left to order glasses online. When they arrived, I immediately noticed that I could not see as well with them as I could with my old glasses. I conducted many comparisons and concluded they were definitely not as clear. I suppose I could have gone back here, but no longer trusting For Eyes, I went to another optometrist. This was a pain because VSP only covers one eye exam a year, so I had to pay out of pocket for my second opinion. Just as I suspected, the second opinion yielded different numbers for every aspect of my prescription. I had those glasses made and they are slightly better than my old glasses, which is what I expected since my prescription changes very little over time. I had to return the pair I got with my prescription from For Eyes. I can forgive an uninviting office and rather surly staff if they get you in and out quickly and the medical portion of the exam goes well. However, it's difficult to justify an incorrect prescription. I imagine prescriptions are not an exact science and might be slightly different each time you check, but at no time should they be notably and obviously worse than a 10 year old prescription. I'm giving an additional star beyond the default one just because they filed insurance easily and happily gave me my prescription without even trying to convince me to buy my glasses there. The guy who sells glasses looked relieved I wasn't going to bother him. read more

Even with an appointment, I ended up waiting about 30 minutes. But the dr was incredible! She was very friendly and explained things very well. The front desk was friendly as well! After being misdiagnosed for my eyes and having a bad experience from another eye clinic (Gwinnett Eye Clinic in Duluth is horrible, unfriendly, and are liars!!), I will continue going here and will definitely recommend this place to others! read more

When it comes to getting eye glasses/contacts, I equate it going to the dentist minus the physical pain. In the past getting eye exams and glasses/contacts has always been a pain because it seemed the people behind the counter were only interested in separating you from much as your money as possible and/or they were unprofessional. I have had so many bad experiences with eye glass places I usually opted to go without renewing my prescriptions as long as possible to avoid the inevitable hassle. My current glasses prescription is two years old which I got for this place. I seem remember my experience here was good which is why I decided to return. I called them and asked them how long it would take for an exam and was told 20 minutes. I was asked if I wanted to make an appointment and to my surprise they were able to see me the same day. I went in, and after filling out the usual paper work, I went back to see the doctor. It was a hassle free exam and he gave me a prescription for both contacts and eye glasses even though I was only planning to buy glasses. The doctor was very professional and seemed to enjoy his job and helping patients see better. He was quite friendly and engaging. The staff was professional as well and the lady who helped me pick out glasses did not force me to purchase anything I did not want and laid out the cost of everything and let me make the decision on my purchase. With my insurance and the store's great prices, I got a quality pair of glasses with a protection plan (which I wanted) for much less then what I would have paid at other places. I arrived at the store at noon, and was out by 12:45, with most of the time being me trying to find the right frame. For the convenience factor, and their good prices I find this location a very good place to come for glass/contacts. Unlike another popular eye place in this area, For Eyes explains all the charges and don't try to force you to get things you don't want. No bait and switch here! read more

The doctor was quick and knowledgable. The receptionist was incredibly friendly and found me several discounts. I called and got an appointment same day. They also fit in my husband as a walk in. They checked with me before each test, explained why it was important, and didn't pressure me at all. Also, I noticed a previous reviewer said she was ignored by a receptionist while the other was busy. One receptionist handles appointments while the other sells glasses. I can't speak for her experience, but it sounds like she misunderstood the situation. read more

Nobody should EVER use this company for ANYTHING! After attempting my second attempt at getting a pair of glasses (first time two different eye doctors gave me a prescription that was not even close), and the second time I honestly picked out a very uncomfortable pair of glasses. After calling the manager at the second store back (James at the Duluth, GA office), I was advised I could come to have a ONE time swap done. I attempted to do this today. The manager (James) attempted to talk me into keeping the glasses (after telling me to drive 45 min to come in to swap them). After I told him I did not wan the glasses he proceeded to try to adjust them. I let him, and then i RE-explained again that I wanted to swap the glasses. I EVEN OFFERED TO USE AN OLD FRAME OF MY OWN. He explained that the frames I wanted to use were a bit too small which was fine. He told me fine he would do the one time exchange and advised me to shop around. I was having difficulty finding anything I did like, so I asked for his assistance WHICH HE REFUSED because he felt I was "picky". He said he felt anger coming from me. I advised him I was not angry with him (YES I WAS TRYING TO RESTRAIN MYSELF). He then stated that he felt it coming from me, and when I asked he could just go off what I was telling instead of what he "felt" and assist me I was then advised that he needed to call the man from the corporate office to see IF he could swap them! Yes there was a witness to all of this! My aunt was with me and heard it all. He then advised me he could give me my money back RATHER THAN ASSIST ME! FOR EYES HAS TRULY PROVEN THEMSELVES UNWORTHY OF MY BUSINESS OR ANYONE ELSE'S. I will be posting my EXPERIENCES regarding the service I received to every social media network and review site I can find! People please DO NOT GO CHEAP. You do get what you pay for!
