Lately we've experienced more of the latter and, as a result, will try a different provider next year. Eye exams have always been patient, thorough, and accurate. Last year, the Doctor became mildly irritated with my wife raising concerns about a box of problematic contacts affecting our daughter, as if the issue did not exist. We decided it may be a fluke and came back this year. This year, my son and I have had several problems with eyeglasses we ordered. I asked for Trivex and the best anti-reflective coat available, but we received polycarbonate, Cristal Rock AR on mine, and Cristal Easy Pro AR on my son's. However, my son's lenses have a blue hue in the reflection and Easy Pro should look green (see pic). Additionally, my invoice listed DuraVision Platinum, which would have a blue hue and green is clearly visible in the picture. We did not receive certificates of authenticity for Transitions or Crizal, which both companies say should've been included. It took just over 3 weeks to receive my glasses. Our insurance was blamed, but I would have gladly paid full price and filed a claim directly with them. Instead, no updates were provided and, once I inquired 10 days later, they ordered them after seemingly forgetting. I asked at that time to cancel my order, but they refused. Since receiving the incorrect lenses, I asked to have them replaced, but they again refused.

I took my broken glasses in to see if they could repair - even though I was not a client. Jenny was super kind and helpful and got me sorted out. This happened on a Friday lunch time. If you ever want to observe human behavior in its purest form, skip the zoo and head to Costco on a…read moreSaturday afternoon. The Buford location is where bulk groceries meet competitive cart driving and free samples become a full contact sport. Every Saturday I chauffeur my 75 year old mother to what she calls "running errands" and what I now recognize as her weekly social hour. She insists on arriving at peak crowd density, the exact moment when parking spots become mythical creatures and shoppers circle like vultures waiting for someone to load a 50 pack of paper towels into their trunk. Mom treats the place like a scenic walking tour. We visit every aisle. Not most. Not the important ones. All of them. I have learned more about industrial mayonnaise, kayak pricing, and seasonal patio heaters than any human should. Meanwhile I treat the sample stations like a carefully planned tasting menu. The staff is generous, the portions are respectable, and with the right timing and a strategic lap route you can revisit your favorites without raising suspicion. I am not saying I built a loop system around the frozen dumplings, but I am also not denying it. Mom, however, has become something of a celebrity. For reasons unknown she attracts a steady stream of senior gentlemen piloting motorized carts who deliver pickup lines that have not been road tested since 1958. "Hey there, young lady." "Need a ride?" "I come here for the deals and now I know why." She responds with polite disinterest while I perform defensive maneuvers worthy of a Secret Service agent, gently redirecting traffic away from my mother and back toward the rotisserie chickens. This week's victory was finding a solid jump starter for my truck battery. Nothing says successful Costco run like leaving with an item you actually intended to buy, along with emotional exhaustion and a faint smell of sample pizza. This store would earn five stars, but inventory roulette keeps it at four. They do not always have the advertised items, and the restocking attention does not seem as tight as the Duluth or Athens locations. Nothing crushes the spirit quite like planning your bulk buy strategy only to find an empty pallet and a lonely price tag. Still, Costco Buford is a magical place, part warehouse, part buffet, part retirement age speed dating arena. I will be back next Saturday at peak hours, pushing the cart, circling the dumplings, and guarding Mom from the Romeo squadron.

She ended up being so nice & VERY patient. She was honest about how the frames fit my face & waited for a while until I FINALLY decided to purchase a 3rd pair- NAVY GUCCI & I LOOOOVE them. My only for REAL issue at the Buford Costco Vision Center is there are no chairs or benches for folks to sit. The wait can be 30++ depending on how busy they are. They need a small area for thise who need a chair. Leaning on carts is not fun! They redeemed themselves & I HOPE that other guy had a chat with the manager I told.

Then was called up about 5 min later and was told that my insurance doesn't cover my eye exam until next month. Why was this information not relayed to me prior to my appointment?! I wasted time coming in just to leave and come back next month. Fast forward to next month, I got a voicemail reminding me of my rescheduled appointment and was informed I will have a $10 copay. The exam itself went smoothly this time until I came out of my exam and was told I owed ~$149. Evidently, this practice requires retinal scans (+$49) for all eye exams. This requirement and fee was not disclosed to me prior to my appointment or during the appointment. Additionally, I was charged for contact lens fitting of $85 - both of which are not covered by insurance. Returned for a contact lens fitting. My appt was at 12pm. I arrived 11:57am and wasn't brought into a room until 12:23pm. No one came to update me on the long wait. Although this place can be convenient with all the technology for scans and such, the lack of communication is frustrating and the fact that I can't come here for a routine eye exam (that's covered by insurance) without paying at minimum an additional $49 for the retinal scan is ridiculous. Offer the free (insurance covered) alternative of dilating and evaluating,
