I appreciated the thoroughness of Dr…read more O'Neill's eye examination, as well as the optician's attention to detail and the professionalism of both the doctor and optician. Unfortunately, my experience with the front office staff was quite the opposite. I was extremely disappointed by their rudeness, lack of customer service, and particularly a lack of transparency surrounding certain charges. As a patient, I have every right to ask questions and receive straightforward answers. Staff members, including the office manager, were very defensive and seemed to have an excuse for everything. I wanted to know why certain lens enhancements were not submitted to my vision insurance. Instead, the clinic applied its own discounts to their retail prices and charged me out of pocket. Without the charges being submitted to insurance, there was no opportunity for my insurer to determine whether my benefits or contracted pricing had been applied. And while the clinic promotes its discounts, how can patients know whether those retail prices are reasonable or consistent with marketplace pricing? That's one of the reasons why I have vision insurance. It's unfortunate because I genuinely liked the clinical care that I received. But I won't return because of how I was treated and how my questions and concerns were dismissed. Good patient care extends beyond the examination room. It also requires respect and transparency.

I have always gone to the chain stores, I never had a doctor take the time to walk me through the results of my exam. I felt as if the doctor had nothing but time for me. He carefully explained the results he found from the exam. He talked about the type of glasses that would work the best for me. The staff was exceptional as well, kind, receptive, knowledgeable. I highly recommend this office if you need an eye exam. The best level of service I have ever received when getting glasses.

Helpful and just pleasant. AND not flooded with 30 pages of paperwork so many places have you fill out. off topic for a minute - BUT WHY CAN'T IT BE SHARED SO YOU ARE NOT CONTINUALLY FILLING OUT THE SAME THINGS OVER AND OVER AND OVER....at any rate. I did not have a long wait...very impressive. The young lady that administered all the pretests before seeing Dr. Hefner was so great. She explained everything being done and why. Took time to talk to me and get everything down. Again, not a long wait for the doctor. HE WAS SO NICE. Came in, shook my hand and proceeded to cover everything I could even image for an exam. Because I am diabetic, over 65, and had cataract surgery a year ago, he covered a lot with me. Never felt rushed or pressured to hurry through. I have had a LOT of appointments with eye doctors since I stared with bad eyes in 4th grade....but I have to say this was by far the best experience with an office all the way around. My grandson and daughter will definitively use this office. AND ON A SIDE NOTE - I loved the chair I sat in and the receptionist went out of her way to call the person who ordered all their office furniture to find out where it was from..NOW THAT WAS OVER AND ABOVE...

We had another appointment with them for Friday, which, of course, we cancelled. It's so frustrating to have made an appointment AND CONFIRM IT, only to have the place make TWO mistakes and then ask you to sit around for two hours because of their mistakes. Needless to say, we will not be wasting any more of our time with this place.

My first eye appointment a few years ago was extremely brief and I was not satisfied with the quality of service (at another location), but didn't really know any better, it being my first exam.
