The office said I could come by and they can try to find frames to match his lenses. They did not give up until they found frames for him! My son can't really see well without his glasses and he would have had to miss school if he couldn't get new glasses right away. They made sure that he could get new frames and went above and beyond for us. Their kindness and care for patients goes a long way.

I commend them for being so kind, apologetic, and telling me "changes have been made." From what I was told, Dr. King was none too happy when he was personally informed that a long-time client was basically turned away at the door on the date of their appointment - willing to pay cash. My advice to anybody reading my first review below and who may fit this category - call them again and see if your insurance is now accepted or another arrangement can be made, as they told me "changes have been made since the new year". Also, I now believe you MAY be able to pay out of pocket if you choose. Just call to double check with them. Please see my review now for my latest appointment: August 4th appointment (updated review): VERY pleased with the appointment, punctuality in which I was taken (I was barely in the waiting room 5 minutes before being called), the technician who helped me (I believe her name was Amber - friendly, professional, very thorough, cute, cute glasses), and Dr. King who again was very thorough and very nice. Turns out my eye irritation was possibly allergy related (either on it's own, or POSSIBLY indirectly related to a possible condition I may have such as fibromyalgia or something auto-immune, and I was prescribed special eye drops for the next few months. I say "possible" because that diagnosis hasn't YET been made by my other doctors as far as conclusively. But, I at least have more information on how to comfort the eye discomfort I have been having for 6+ months thanks to my visit with Dr. King. I was very pleased with my visit and all the staff (I have been coming here pretty regularly since I have been a teenager) and will continue to come here for my eye-related needs. Again as stated above, if you had previous problems (the past year) with insurance providers or payment issues, please at least give them a second call to see if things may have changed or other arrangements can possibly be made.

I was battling an eye infection and came to Geneva Eye Clinic because it is close to my home and I…read morethought since it was a medical issue, my insurance would cover it. When I arrived, I was told they don't take either my eye or my medical insurance and I would need to pay cash. Okay, fine; at this point I am desperate so I pay the $265 exam fee. Dr. Hawkins saw me and said she thought I have a tear duct infection but didn't want to treat it "aggressively" with oral antibiotics yet. So she gave me eye drops and told me to follow up in 2 days... Here we are, 2 days later following up (oh, and there is a $145 fee for a follow up) with a raging infection in my eye, sitting in the waiting room waiting for a doctor. My appointment was over an hour ago and no one has apologized, acknowledged me, or anything. I've asked twice and have been told "shortly." If I hadn't already paid for my appointment and had I not really needed an eye doctor, I would've just found someone else to see another day. I suggest you look other places if you are looking for personal, quality, and friendly eye care.

My first eye appointment a few years ago was extremely brief and I was not satisfied with the quality of service (at another location), but didn't really know any better, it being my first exam. This appointment with Dr. Williams was the complete opposite. She was thorough, patient, very clear in what she was asking of me, and very understanding in letting me express what I was seeing. She explained everything in detail as we went along with the appointment, including what she was testing and how. She was awesome and made a great experience! I also was surprised at the frames Target Optical offered, including popular, luxury brands such as Dolce & Gabbana, along with Coach, Ray-Ban, and Armani Exchange. They also had a Tweed something line exclusively for Target. Many of the frames they offered were on-trend, along with classics, but I was pleasantly surprised with the array of offerings. I will continue to schedule my appointments here with Dr. Williams and would highly recommend her to anyone else in need of an eye exam!

A few days before the appointment, I was sent an email stating that they were sorry I cancelled. I never cancelled. I called and was told that they do not have the doctor in on Wednesdays, which is why I chose them in the first place (again, as per the DV website). I was able to reschedule the appointment for a couple days later. Problems arose the day of the appointment. There was tons of traffic, and so I was running a little bit late (my Waze said 11 minutes) for my appointment. I called just to let them know, and they told me that I would have to cancel if I was more than 10 minutes late. I couldn't continue driving and chance it. Like, I get that they have a policy, but things happen..Still, not a pleasant experience. No matter.. one quick Google search and call, and I'll be at another optometrist in a few days. How many Doctors do you…read moreknow that will take a call 5 minutes before they close on a Saturday, telling them that you have been referred from an urgent care doctor that "couldn't find anything wrong"? Dr. Atwell is the answer. He goes out of his way to take care of his patients. Usually I show up at the end of the year to get new glasses and that us usually that. His office didn't hesitate to stick around make sure I was cared for at the highest standard, given a prescription, a personal cell phone number in case things didn't get better with stern directions to call, and a follow up appointment "anytime you can come in" Monday. Dr Atwell is not a typical 9-5 doctor, he is a rare breed of physician that cares for his patients, will bend over backwards for his patients and provides the best standard of care. Batavia is a small town and more people need to know about Dr. Atwell. He and his staff are hidden gems in our little town. If you need eye care, even if its glasses, contacts or medical issues, you need Dr. Atwell. I haven't found anyone else that compares.
