The office said I could come by and they can try to find frames to match his lenses. They did not give up until they found frames for him! I was battling an eye infection and came to Geneva Eye Clinic because it is close to my home and I…read morethought since it was a medical issue, my insurance would cover it. When I arrived, I was told they don't take either my eye or my medical insurance and I would need to pay cash. Okay, fine; at this point I am desperate so I pay the $265 exam fee. Dr. Hawkins saw me and said she thought I have a tear duct infection but didn't want to treat it "aggressively" with oral antibiotics yet. So she gave me eye drops and told me to follow up in 2 days... Here we are, 2 days later following up (oh, and there is a $145 fee for a follow up) with a raging infection in my eye, sitting in the waiting room waiting for a doctor. My appointment was over an hour ago and no one has apologized, acknowledged me, or anything. I've asked twice and have been told "shortly." If I hadn't already paid for my appointment and had I not really needed an eye doctor, I would've just found someone else to see another day. I suggest you look other places if you are looking for personal, quality, and friendly eye care.

Last year I left a message twice on the phone - nobody called me back, and i had to come to the building to make it. This time it is much worse. My husband (Felix Yoffe) who is 91 lost his driving glasses and he does not have a spare. He did not have any appointment last year for unknown reason to us - so prescription was not valid any more. I said on the message that it is URGENT. No reaction. Your appointment department NEVER answers the phone but it does not react to messages either. It is too bad to make your place really bad despite great doctors and nurses. Ina Yoffe

A few days before the appointment, I was sent an email stating that they were sorry I cancelled. I never cancelled. I called and was told that they do not have the doctor in on Wednesdays, which is why I chose them in the first place (again, as per the DV website). I was able to reschedule the appointment for a couple days later. Problems arose the day of the appointment. There was tons of traffic, and so I was running a little bit late (my Waze said 11 minutes) for my appointment. I called just to let them know, and they told me that I would have to cancel if I was more than 10 minutes late. I couldn't continue driving and chance it. How many Doctors do you…read moreknow that will take a call 5 minutes before they close on a Saturday, telling them that you have been referred from an urgent care doctor that "couldn't find anything wrong"?
