I called eight people and only five showed up. I really liked how Clayton helped me decide how to configure our kitchen. I wasn't really sure how. We also decided to have our bathroom remodeled. They had to demo the whole kitchen and when they left, there was no evidence of debris. Our kitchen turned out amazing, and the bathroom was exquisite. The pride and workmanship, and the care that was taken with our house is unmatched by anybody I've ever used before. They truly did not disappoint. From the first site visit to the final walkthrough, everything was seamless. William managed this project very well and guided us through this process with ease. At any point if we had questions he was quick to respond. The showroom they have is great and the experience of setting your preferences on design and materials is quite enjoyable. The only hiccup we encountered is that the supplier of the original tile that had been selected did not come in the size we needed and so it wouldn't have meshed well with the current tile in the living room. William helped us find a suitable alternative and we were able to pivot and are very pleased with the outcome. There were a couple of adjustments during the project but again related to the tile, we changed the direction of the placement which allows for us to replace the remaining tile in the house in the future if we decided to do so. William and team thinking ahead with our needs in mind really provided a sense of care. To top it all off, we wanted this build done ASAP and the team was able to complete the remodel in 8 days compared to their estimate of 10 - 14. We are extremely pleased with the work and so glad we went with a business right here in Kaneohe. Thank you William, Wen, and team! Excellent, excellent results! Working with Jon & Lupe was a breeze. Jon setup all of the…read morescheduling based on our availability & accessibility to the apartment. There were a few hurdles, but he worked out all of the kinks & came up with a time that was agreeable for all. Lupe did all of the actual repair & he did a wonderful job. Our problem stemmed from a toilet flooding in the apartment above our unit. Fortunately we were home at the time of the accident so we were able to use buckets to catch all of the water that dripped through the ceiling, medicine cabinet & exhaust fan. Due to insurance delays resulting from the owner of the apartment causing the damage, it literally took two months to finally get approval for testing, mitigation & repair work. Luckily we didn't encounter any mold issues but the ceiling above the shower stall had been so badly damaged that we had to have that replaced. The company that provided the mitigation services completed that aspect of the cleanup & was to also perform the repair but abandoned us after they had removed part of the ceiling, leaving a gaping hole. They ghosted us after I questioned why we paid for work that was never performed during the mitigation. After several attempts at contacting this company, we decided to find another company to complete the ceiling repair. A friend suggested we call Oahu Ace Handyman Services since they had used the outfit & was happy about the results. Their advertising indicated drywall work so we decided to give them a call. From the moment we contacted Jon, he was very responsive & professional. Since his company has started to build an excellent reputation locally, they've gotten very busy, so it took a few days to have Lupe come in, assess the situation & provide an estimate. We felt that their estimate was competitive and in our case, even better than the estimate provided by the mitigation company. Once we committed, it was really impressive how updates and information were routinely provided by either text or email. We've worked with other local companies that would schedule work with us but never hear from them until we initiated a followup call or email to confirm the appointment. On the days of the scheduled appointments, we would even receive texts informing us that Lupe was en route and the possible time of arrival. He was always punctual. Lupe's drywall work was superb! We couldn't even tell the transition. Both the texture and paint matched perfectly. He was so pleasant to work with as he has a bubbly personality. He was informative, friendly, accommodating & had a good sense of humor. He worked fast, efficiently and cleaned up after himself each day. He setup barriers to minimize the dust generated from settling onto our furniture and laid down thick brown paper along the path he walked to protect our new LVF. After the work was completed he vacuumed all the floors affected and thoroughly inspected the area to ensure that there was no paint splatter or inadvertent residual "mud". The actual work was completed in less than the time of the initial quote, so the labor portion of the bill was adjusted and reduced as such. How's that for honesty? On top of that, Oahu Ace Handyman is licensed and bonded so they stand behind their work. Highly, highly recommended! Jon, Lupe...you da best! Mahalo Jon & Lupe!

Nice folks, but not exactly a user friendly fix-it model. I called for an estimate, was told to…read moresend pics, which I did. was given an estimate that sounded high. Was then told I could get one of their crew out to take a look, but it would cost $99 plus tax. which would be applied to the final bill if I got the work done. I thought it might be a good idea, but then they came back with the exact same, very high, estimate. I had some of the same work done a while back and the handy man did each segment in about 20 minutes; but Ace was saying it would take an hour for the same thing (each segment). I'm not sure the estimator was really confident in the time it would take him. Nice fellow though. And, I'm not sure that they are allowed to 'think outside the box' when presented with something unusual. In this case it was sealing some open areas around the trim on the house. It needs a little filler, like a wood slat and some sika (or other outdoor caulk) and, as I said, that same work was done on other trim areas in about 10 to 15 min each piece of trim area. So I did not hire Ace, and I had to eat the estimate charge. I'd say, they likely can do a standard kind of job with square footage or straightforward and 'by the book' kinds of installs/fixes, but I'd not call them back for anything that isn't standard. I'm not calling them back for anything at this point. There was another element to the estimate that I got fixed by another handyman today, that took approx. 20 min and I did not need new parts for. So -- though some folks seem to like Ace, I'd not recommend them for anything that requires adaptability or creative thinking. They may be limited by their partner (Ace Hardware), since it's a franchise, but I could not see paying their price of $150/hour (plus tax and materials) for 7 or 8 hours for a job that would take about 2 or 3 hours tops (if that).

I uploaded a few before and after photos, of two of my walls but they worked on several more walls! My CMU block walls and drywall had about 50+ holes, a bunch of which were the size of my index finger, many areas of ripped drywall paper, and numerous outlet-sized drywall cutouts that I wanted patched as if they never existed. Mike came over himself, looked at the job, and gave me a price on the spot. A few weeks later he sent John over to do the work. I was on a pretty tight schedule with an upcoming move and Mike really worked around my schedule as best as he could! John was so kind and efficient, and he took care of every single hole and cut out in under 2 hours and got the walls paint ready for me (I painted the walls the following day). I was expecting the work to cost $1,500 plus easily but Mike's did it for under $600 and the quality is on point! I was really worried about the outlet sized cutouts I made for running wires, but John patched them like it was no big deal and that was such a relief! They did such a good job!!! 10/10 highly recommend

My apartment had recently suffered multiple unidentified leaks this past year that has been a…read morenightmare to navigate. I first messaged Mike and other candidates in 2025 when I was gathering quotes for an insurance claim that ultimately got denied. It was very clear that Mike and the team have great workmanship from the photos - this is coming from someone who's seen great drywall work and extremely poor work that I could do better myself. I could tell right off the bat that these were the guys I wanted to work with. The proof was in the "mudding" as I changed scope to account for materials, budget, level 4-5 finish, and paint finish quality. Having to pay out of pocket for an expense I anticipated someone else to cover was a bit of a concern for my wallet. Mike was patient with me and we worked out a price we could agree on by removing items from the scope that might still been in good condition and limiting the amount of work that needed to be done on a bump-out wall next to my shower. John texted me soon after we agreed to move forward and scheduled the work for the following week. He also suggested a change in material (DensShield) from what I had originally requested (blueboard) and I am so grateful to have skilled/experienced teammates to work with that really know what they're doing. Day 1 was demolition, hanging, and mudding. John was finished and out before lunch and I could already tell that the quality of work was spectacular. You couldn't even tell the ceiling was repaired because it was blended in perfectly with the surrounding area. The bump-out wall was looking way better than it was even prior to the water damage. We left the fan on throughout the day and overnight to let the hot mud dry out. Day 2 was sanding, priming, and painting. Fortunately, I purchased and stored paint that was specific to my bathroom from a previous repair and had it at the ready this time around as well. Honestly, when I first discovered the leak, I originally planned to fix it myself so I also had a brand new container of primer. I'm pretty satisfied with the work, especially with the DensShield suggestion and installation in both affected areas to account for future leaks. I didn't know such product existed and the workmanship mudding a material such as DensShield and it essentially coming out nearly flawless is pretty impressive. Overall, I would give Mike's team a solid 9/10. Prompt responses, flexibility in materials/scope, and great quality of work. The quote, as some have mentioned is on the higher side compared to other candidates I'd spoken with, but I learned the last time that you get what you pay for. Could I have gotten it cheaper? 100%. Would it have come out as good? Not sure. The last guy I hired at maybe half the price got the job done, but clearly not done well and that's what got me in this predicament, SO... don't cheap out if you can help it - especially for a bathroom or high-moisture/high-risk area. I'm certain I'll be working with Mike and the team in the future and there are no regrets here as compared to my last drywall adventure. Thank you Mike & John for your patience and hard work.
