When our toilet was unable to flush,…read morewe didn't know who to call since our favorite longtime plumbing company was no longer in business. Then we remembered seeing 535 Plumbing trucks often parked downstairs and at other buildings nearby, and gave them a call. They asked my husband for some photos, gave him an estimate, and sent someone over that afternoon. The plumber was running late but kept us informed about when he would be arriving. Once he got here, he was very courteous, professional, and did what he had to do. He answered our questions clearly in layman's terms for us to understand. A second plumber stopped by briefly to help him. We paid what was originally quoted to us. We were very satisfied with the quality of work done and now have a new favorite go-to plumbing company to call on!

I've used them in the past many times at multiple properties, referred them to my family and…read morethey've also used them. Never had a problem until this time. I had them come out and do a camera inspection. The report says everything is all good. Nothing abnormal. Had a second plumber come out. Basically says that I need to completely redo my pipes because the plumbing is extremely old and falling apart with pictures and video After contacting 535 plumbing they asked what could they do to make it right. I told them that I'd like 50% back. They came back and said after careful inspection we cannot give you back 50% so I'm not really sure what they were going to do for me. Their process is extremely broken because at the bottom of the receipt and work order. It says that the line manager has the final say but I never got a call or email from the line manager saying that the initial report was 100% wrong. All I got was an estimate for replumbing the entire drains but nothing that said that the report was erroneous after having three other plumbers come out, which they all agreed the pipes needed to be replaced. I didn't get a video or pictures of the pipe. Only a small paragraph that said nothing abnormal noticed. I'm not a plumber that's why I'm paying plumbing companies to come out and do the work and I trust that they're going to do their best so I cannot be the one to verify their work. But but in the end I really need my plumbing to work and not feel like I'm getting taken advantage of. Eventually the owner caught wind of this and called me up. Credited me back $100 but I wish I had seen the reviews that this company has gotten in the past few months. I don't know if something changed there but I'm glad it's not just me that's dealing with this

My initial appointment window was between 12-5, but I received a call letting me know they were able to come a little earlier, which was a nice plus. Albert came out and fixed the issue right away. Strongly Do Not Recommend This Company…read more I had a very disappointing experience with A1 Plumbing. When I made the appointment, I clearly explained that my toilet had two problems: the tank kept continuously filling with water, and water was leaking around the base, likely requiring a new wax ring. I was told the price would depend on labor and parts, but no exact estimate was provided. When the plumber arrived, I went downstairs to meet him because I live in an apartment building. I was surprised that he was carrying only an iPad and did not have any tools with him at all. He came upstairs, inspected the toilet, and took pictures before going back downstairs to get his tools. To make things easier, I gave him a FOB key to access the building. He later said the space around my toilet was very small and that he needed additional tools, so he called another employee to help. Together, they went back and forth between my apartment and downstairs approximately 8-10 times. Each time, they brought back only a few tools instead of bringing everything they needed at once. Since I live in an apartment, all these trips required taking the elevator. Nearly two hours were spent on the job, and a significant amount of time seemed to be wasted going back and forth. I paid $280 for labor plus $20 for parts, totaling $300. The plumber told me the job had been difficult and that he had worked very hard. Feeling bad for him, I gave him an additional $30 tip, bringing my total payment to more than $330. However, I then discovered that the toilet tank was still continuously filling with water. Only one of the two problems I had explained before the appointment had been addressed. When I pointed this out, the plumber said he would need to return the following week, take the toilet apart again, purchase another part, and charge me for additional labor, including the time spent getting the part. I was extremely frustrated because both problems had been explained in advance. I could not understand why the second problem had not been addressed before he left. To be fair, the plumber was very nice and polite. My complaint is not about his attitude, but about the lack of preparation, organization, and efficiency. Later that afternoon, I contacted another plumber recommended by a friend. Before arriving, he asked me for a picture of my toilet's brand and model and an explanation of the problems. He purchased the necessary replacement part beforehand and arrived carrying all his tools. He worked for approximately one and a half hours, never once went downstairs for tools, and fixed both problems in one visit. His labor charge was only $120, and the replacement part cost approximately $30, bringing the total to about $150. The difference was remarkable. A1 Plumbing charged me more than $330, yet one problem remained unresolved. The second plumber charged about $150 and completed both repairs. A few years ago, another plumber also replaced the wax ring in my mother's toilet for only $150, including parts. The second plumber also told me that if repairing a toilet required that much time and money, he would strongly recommend replacing the entire toilet instead. In my situation, spending over $450 to repair a toilet worth only about $200 simply would not make sense. I expected a professional plumbing company to arrive prepared, especially when both problems had already been explained. Instead, I experienced repeated unnecessary trips, wasted time, a high bill, and an incomplete repair. I strongly do not recommend A1 Plumbing. Based on my experience, I would choose a better-prepared and more efficient plumber rather than pay more for an unfinished job.

I couldn't even figure out how to stop the water from coming out and within minutes water was pouring down the stairs and leaking into the floors below the kitchen. After calling everyone I could think of, including the board of water supply, with no one providing any help, I typed in "plumbers" into Yelp and started cold calling down the list. First Class Plumbing was the third company listed but the first one that seemed to care. I was warned that I was calling after hours so I'd have an emergency fee if I wanted service now... I joked "fine - this is an emergency" and was told I'd get a call back as soon as they could get ahold of one of their plumbers. I went back to trying to heave buckets of water into a nearby sink and received a call back 15 minutes later. The plumber was so calm, and after hearing that I was still dealing with gushing water, explained to me how to stop the water flow. He asked me to send him pictures of the burst pipe and the faucet and got off the phone to price everything out including replacing the pipes and faucet. After doing all that work he told me what the cost would be and then said it was no worries if given the price I didn't want to continue on - or at least wait until it wasn't an emergency (an extra $150 charge). I said I definitely wanted the service and he came right out and fixed the burst pipe. I would already have been raving about this place for their competent service if it had been a normal scheduled appointment. But the fact that this company and the plumber were there for me when no one else was, and went above and beyond walk me through how to stop the problems and extremely quickly look into part costs for me before I ever even agreed to the service has made me a loyal customer forever!

I spoke with Ana and explained my plumbing issue, then emailed her a photo of the problem area. She quickly identified that it involved replacing my PRV, isolation valve, and irrigation valve. Whitley arrived on time, was professional, courteous, and a pleasure to talk to. It was fun chatting football with him -- he comes from an impressive football family! Highly recommend this company for their fair pricing, excellent communication, and top-notch workmanship.

I have changed the prv in the past, about 4/5 years ago so i told him to go ahead and change it as im pressed for time havjng to work and prepare for the incoming typhoon. He didnt have a valve so needed to go to city mill to get one which they had in stock. The total repair came out to $4100, of which and i'll break it down cost wise. Costs gotten at a consumer pricing from Home Depot Now mind you this is the retail pricing for an normal consumer, not professional pricing (what you or i would pay if going into the store) Prv valve $89 5' length 3/4" copper pipe $50 Fittings $50 Ball valve shut off $ 19 Total of parts $208 $4100 minus the parts needed $208 $3892 labor 18 minutes to complete the repair, say 30 to make it easy $7784 in labor charge per hour I guess i should have purchased a solderless crimper and done it myself for a savings of $3900 Work was done professionally and quickly as promised and the area cleaned up before completion but the labor cost is whats bugging me- guess i got into the wrong profession
