They overcharged me and refused to re-register the wines I bought to show me the total price was correct. I bought 8 bottles of wine when I got home. The receipt showed 9 bottles, including one for $60, which I know did not buy. I showed the owner a list I had made of what I had purchased, and he mocked me for it. I requested that he re-ring those items and see if the price came out to over $300. He would not and said he was too busy, although there was nobody else in the store, and basically called me a liar and told me I could take my business elsewhere. He says he has been in business for 35 years and doesn't make mistakes (amazing in 35 years, not ONE mistake). You would think that in 35 years, he would know how to treat a new customer who just spent over $450 in two days. The fact that he would not acknowledge that there could have been a mistake and refused to re-total the wines I purchased tells me something about the operation. He may have gotten my $60, but it will be the last time I purchase anything at Vintage Wines in Harrisonburg. And they never open on time; they kept me waiting 10 minutes the first time and 15 minutes the second time. STAY AWAY, FAR AWAY UNLESS YOU WANT TO GET RIPPED OFF TOO!

We arrived at around 6pm and the only seat remaining was in the corner with the speakers right behind us, playing good (but loud) music. Too loud for discussion, we enjoyed our phones while eating and drinking this evening. I enjoyed their "Taking Water" light lager and Mrs. K. consumed two of their mocktails. With it, the "White Noise" pizza topped with caramelized onions, spinach, ricotta and banana peppers was a treat. Big enough to share and not be overly stuffed. Two squares each was enough. It's a family-friendly spot with great drinks and great pizza. A very good spot, just find a seat further away from the music blasting and it'll be perfect for all. The staff seemed a little overwhelmed but they were doing their best and we got menus before too long. I had the Negative Boogie which was excellent and my wife had the Hop Forward which was out of this world. We both got the pizza which was ok but a little too bready for me. I wouldn't get it again but I am also not saying it is bad, just not my cup of tea. Our daughter got the pizza rolls which were very nice. All in all, a great experience in a cool space. We will definitely be back next time we are in Harrisonburg!

The wine tasting was nice. With large parties you are given a flight to try. No need to stand in the tasting room. I liked several of the flavors. After the tasting we took a walk around the grounds taking in all the animals. Because it was winter, we didn't spend a lot of time in the lavender fields. We did however visit the lavender shop. I purchased a lavender honey spot and some delightful lemon crunch lavender ice cream. Overall staff were friendly. I would recommend this business for anyone in the area or visiting massanutten.

You really get to enjoy an immersive, interactive experience on the farm. There is something for everyone, from interactive gardens and live animals. The best for a cute little DIY wine tasting. You can bring your own charcuterie platters, which is what we did to go along with our tastings. They have tasting room called the Purple Wolf Vineyard where you can purchase your portable tastings, wine, beer and slushy flights . I would definitely return again, great place to host a cute birthday event, with your friends. They also have a really nice gift shop as well.

The bartenders are consistently on point, which is important when you've been traveling long enough to consider a properly made cocktail a basic human right. The farm-to-table small plates are usually terrific too. Every now and then, a dish may wander off the culinary trail, but honestly, four out of five plates are the kind that make you look at each other and say, "Why don't we live here?" And then there's the rooftop view. At first, you may have to look past the sea of retail stores and parking lots--but once your eyes reach the mountains on the horizon, the view is downright spectacular. Great drinks, very good food, and mountain scenery that manages to rise above the shopping center below: that is a rooftop restaurant worth planning a road trip around.

I have found the front staff and the wait staff to be lacking in their consideration towards restaurant guests. It seems that they are picking and choosing whom they choose to grant a great experience to. Service: The front staff and waitress we had carried an air of attitude when dealing with me and my family. It seemed like they were not keen to accommodate a few of our basic requests which essentially boiled down to laziness. To be honest, they are very petty when it comes to getting a table on their rooftop...when my family (of 5) came in, they told us it was first come first serve and sat us inside. Another family came in with 3-4 adults and 2 kids after we were seated, to which they promptly moved them outside even though they were inside as well when a spot opened up. I'm not truly understanding the mentality of service here and frankly thought for a nice establishment there would be better decorum and attitude towards guests. Food: overall pretty good. I found the food and drink to be solid. In summary, the food is good here but doesn't surpass the service we received.
