My wife and I stopped in here for a break in driving on the way to a wedding. The brewery is located close to the downtown area and does not have a large parking area. It was pretty full parking when we got there, but there was an empty lot across the street that we used. The brewery has a cool look and it looks like a converted old car garage. There is some indoor seating but a larger outdoor area. It is also dog friendly as there were 4 dogs there. You can also bring in outside food as they do not serve food there. The beer was pretty good. There were several IPAs, flavor beer or sours which are not in my normal preference range. However there was a pilsner and a red on tap. I found this place on a day drive from the Washington DC area. These guys deserve 5 stars. The place a small converted garage, but very cool inside. Someone in an earlier Yelp referred to it as unique and I would agree. I tasted a few of their IPAs. The IPAs are incredible! The tap folks are real friendly and know their beer. It's not that the band was bad, they were just way too loud. It's small space so there's no need for such volume. Great little brewery that can pack a punch. They have a smaller selection-but what they do have is very good. I liked their Scotch out of the flight but the Oktoberfest was pretty good too. It looks like it was a Jiffy Lube converted into a brewery and its just pretty awesome. The ambience was something they clearly deemed important and the music is on point. Out back is vir hole and a food truck lot- as well and 2x4 Jenga. Inside there is a shuffle board, dart board and other games including rockem' socket' robots! I will be back to visit once they get their own Brewer and expand-currently the Back Bay Brewer is driving up here to do the brews-which I cannot complain about-it's pretty banging and I am from the Back Bay neck of the woods myself. Nice small brewery good beers friendly staff not overwhelmed by selection. Very helpful with my selection as I am not a BEER drinker they had a sour mash that was pretty darn good. A cool beach bar, without the beach. Dozens of delicious malt beverages to choose from , and "potentially " live music. Very well appointed decor, and a great airy vibe ( yes the doors were up). An excellent place to enjoy this lovely day! I couldn't catch the bartender's name, but she was happily selling flights of hoppy goodness. We held our wedding at Restless Moons last weekend and I cannot say enough great things about this brewery. Most importantly - the beer is excellent. Every beer on the long and diverse tap list was so good, even the seltzer! The team at Restless Moons is kind, thoughtful, and fun. The owner, Jeff, was wonderful to work with and was present at the event and willing to roll up his sleeves and help us in anyway possible. Tonight restless moons provided a space for a private event. I always love going local but was not provided the service I expected. As a college student I was over charged based on the profile I projected. As a local waitress I always tip well but regardless of how I acted, I was over charged. When ordering a beer, bartender Tiffany over charged me for a 1/2 pint. She knew exactly what to pay me back when I confronted her. Tiffany over charged two of my friends as well and she knew exactly the mischarge without being told. We all tipped well but assumed our tips based on profile. I honestly assumed it was an mistake until it happens multiple times. For a new up and rising business with good beer, having bartenders who take advantage of customers will not help this business succeed. We had an amazing time and I am not the type to complain. I cannot say enough good stuff about this place. My husband and I came across this place when we were trying to plan our rehearsal dinner. We visited and fell in love. Sarah, the manager, is PHENOMENAL. We worked with her from the fall until our rehearsal dinner in April. We were able to rent the brewery for the night (a Friday night) and had two food trucks as well. They were seriously so amazing to work with- even let us pick an infuser for one of their beers! We stopped here quick before heading to town..found this place on the internet at the last minute and most locals in town didn't know to much about it since it is new and they haven't even had their grand opening yet. It was a very cool tasting room...laid back...set up in an old car garage. They had 4 beers on tap...I had the Octoberfest which was ok. We really loved the glasses and we just sat around and played some board games. This place is AMAZING. It's slightly off the main strip, but 100% worth a stop by. My fiance and I were in Harrisonburg for our anniversary trip, and ended up stopping into Restless Moons both days we were there. It's a large space, with a decent list of beers. There was something for everyone - my favorite was a peaches and cream sour (go there just to see the name of it ;-)), and my partner loved one that tasted like a waffle with a hint of syrup. We met the owner and his lovely wife, who brew all their own beers. One of the best parts is their outdoor area, which is big and spacious, with picnic benches that we utilized to play some of the games they offer while we were there. Even though we live a bit of a hike away in Centreville, I bought a growler because I *know* we'll be back soon, and I can't wait to take back some of their delicious beer. Love this place, but it has started to pick up a lot as the new go-to place for college students on Thursdays. I liked it when it was a bit more quiet, especially when it can now get cramped inside very quickly, but the back outdoor patio helps disperse the crowd a bit. They have cornhole and giant jenga outside which is a lot of fun, as well as a Cheese Please (I think?) stationary food truck. The beers they have are great too. Visited this place as part of a 4-stop brewery tour with my girlfriend. I have to admit, the renovation of an old garage is a cool thing. The place makes you feel like you are really drinking beer in the actual room it was made in, kinda like if you were drinking beer you made in your garage (except Wolfe St. is nicer lol). In a way, it's a little different and feels simpler than alot of the breweries these days....which is a great thing! The beer selection was average and it tasted fine. Restless Moon brewery is a small craft brewery where the brew master crafts a wide assortment of great tasting beers. Gringos Revenge a Mexican spiced white stout was one of our favorites. The habanero pepper finish was quite unique. Just Desserts, my wife's favorite was inspired by the red velvet cake, chocolate notes with just a hint of coffee. Although it hasn't been opened for very long, I imagine it will only grow with popularity! We plan on making it a regular stop! I would recommend you do the same! read more
