Very lovely family business! The staff was extremely pleasant, and made us feel like royalty the entire time. The vineyard has a small indoor area where you can sit down and enjoy your wine tasting while listening to live music. I ordered a glass of the dessert wine which paired well with some roasted marshmallows that I enjoyed fireside. Not so much in love with the chipotle cheese I purchased--It was a little spicy which I didn't mind but was very bitter, could've used something sweet to balance it out like some red grapes but nonetheless made no impact on my visit. My favorite part about coming here was their dog Sophie--I'm an animal lover so she stole the show for me. Little miss Sophie met us at our cars and escorted us to the door... like omg how cute is that?! I would definitely return here if ever in the area again. Oh and I forgot to mention that my group of 10 showed up pretty last minute as the vineyard was listed online to close at 6pm, we arrived around 5:15pm and wasn't rushed not once. Big shoutout to Aaron who checked on us and also took some nice pictures of us. Job well done!!

Visiting friends in Staunton, VA and they brought us to this place for live music and wine. The place felt like we were back in Napa, CA though I say the view here is "beautifuller". Yup, a Ragruts vocabulary. Got a bottle of Cabarnet Franc and a Vidal Blanc. Missed to try their smoothie samplers which would have been better for a hot day. The band of matured gentlemen were singing songs of their time which is my time too. And we enjoyed them. Best of all, you can bring your own charcuterie. Cheers!

Beautiful. Wonderful, helpful staff. If you're an animal lover there are dogs running around everywhere, so sweet. Wine was ok but the vibe and scenery are worth the trip. Two driveways side by side was confusing, but make the turn between the marquee sign and flowers, open sign. We ended up down a dead end private drive. Get the charcuterie board, you won't regret it.

Charming, cozy vineyard with a great outside patio, friendly & knowledgeable staff and reasonably priced wine and tastings. I stumbled across Marceline on an early Friday afternoon fully expecting the place to be empty. To my surprise it was bustling with people and friendly animals. I did a wine tasting and ordered a delicious frozen white wine drink to enjoy on the patio and take in the scenery. Marceline does not offer food (besides cheese plates & chocolate) but does offer the option to order food in for delivery which I thought was convenient. This is the perfect vineyard for a couple or group looking for a place to hang out outside, play games, have a picnic or just enjoy the view. I will definitely be back.

I was going to give it 4 stars, but bumping it up to 5 stars to make up for the kill-joy who was complaining about not being allowed to bring a puppy here, despite Nov 2016 Virginia laws which prohibit dogs in winery tasting room. Considering this family adopts stray cats and have several dogs, I'd say they love animals. In fact, one vicious attack dog (kidding - he was adorable) came right up to my car when I was trying to get out! Anyway, I visited shortly after learning they opened. The wine maker worked at several other places (I think Barren Ridge was mentioned but I can't remember) until he opened his own place, right smack in the geographic center of the valley. The place was a barn before they refurbished it as a tasting room. They are still on the small side; only 2 acres of vines planted, but going on to 7. The older vines were planted in 2008, so they must have known it was a good growing site. What I tried: 2015 Chardonnay (done in steel). Very tasty; one of the better ones I've had lately. 2015 Chardonnay (oak). Little buttery and toasty notes. Rose: Made with Merlot, off dry. Not a rose fan so not for me. 2014 Cab Sav: Nice; my server was kind enough to let me taste it again with chocolate to taste the difference. 2015 Cab Franc: Usually I get green or black pepper notes on Virginia Cab Francs, but here I got raspberry up front and a red fruit ending. Very interesting. And ending it was a raspberry wine, which wasn't done in a sweet style, curiously enough.

Wish I could give this winery 10 stars! Our favorite winery all week during or travels. To start, we were greeted with such friendly staff - Gina "Bett". She covered all tasting options including their mulled wine - white and red option. The price seemed a little high at $12 a cup but after the free generous samples of each, very worth the price for the size of the pour - we even purchased a 2nd cup each for later (really worth it and now we know why locals were coming in just to purchase that on this chilly day!!!). All of their wines were excellent. Gina offered samples of anything and so patient while we decided our tasting cups! Thank you Gina, you made this visit for us!!!! To enjoy our tastings they had indoor seating but they offered a huge fire pit that was going so we ventured outside. It was cold Nov day but the seating around the pit was comfortable and the fire was going with hot embers - added logs as we sat there for over 90 minutes- we didn't want to leave it was such a relaxing experience and environment. Even met a local couple that joined us at the fire pit talking about this is their favorite winery - they enjoyed a bottle often on site because of everything I've mentioned. We met the owner Aaron, who knew this couple from their visit and he was so friendly too and gave us the story on the huge fire pit - 5k pound bowl like pit. Really wish we could have visited again, but so much to do and so little time but this is one of 2 places that made our vacation!!! Thank you!!!!'

Great service, amazing wines and adorable kitties. Greeted by friendly dogs as we drove up, very scenic inside and outside had fires going, sat by the fire and petted two amazingly sweet Russian blue kitties. Wonderful experience, very affordable.

Small vineyard with a great vibe. Really great pricing for the tasting (4 for $4) and a great bartender - Aaron. We swung by after 5 on a Sunday as a final stop in our Virginia vineyard tour and were greeted with great wines and adorable dogs/cats. There are plenty of games to play, you can bring your own food, and you don't feel rushed at all. Although it was raining, we still got to enjoy the outdoors since they had chairs on an outdoor covered patio. I chose the Cabernet franc and my fiancé chose the Bordeaux. Everything was already great and then a few four legged friends came to join us and we couldn't have been happier. We will be coming back with friends!

They offer a few tastings and the owner is very friendly and erudite

This is a small vineyard that makes up for what it lacks in size with character and charm. Stepping out of our Uber we were greeted by two adorable cats by the barrels. Inside it's a very quaint tasting room that feels more like your stepping into someone's home. The gentlemen, Aaron, that helped us was very erudite and personable. At only $4 for a tasting it was well worth the cost. After our tasting we played some connect 4 and we were greeted by 2 adorable little dogs. This increased the feeling that we were being invited into someone's home. If you are looking for a personal, intimate wine tasting wig fun conversation with the staff(both 2 and 4 legged) then This is the vineyard for you
