Unique ciders in a great downtown location! Try the barrel aged ciders. They are the BEST!

Wow, this place really was out of this world ;-) We simply could not believe what a chill atmosphere we entered (true of most of downtown Staunton, honestly, if you're from the hustlin bustlin land 2.5 hrs north.) Along a little stretch that I believe is called the Wharf, this seemed like a perfect next stop after Byers Street Bistro. We had our dog with us, and we thought their patio looked perfect. But when my husband went into order, we were pleasantly surprised to hear dogs were allowed inside, too. Great! We got a flight to try many different options ranging from dry to sweet. We liked them all, but our favs were Hues, Bud Honey, and Pink Ocean. The staff was super friendly and kind to our pooch, even bringing her water. My kids (5 and 2) had a great time, too! They have toys and games, and couches and thoughtful design elements make this a comfy, calming spot. The last detail is small, but to me, it's huge. We took a couple Live Photos while we were there. I didn't notice at the time, but perhaps my mood was subconsciously enhanced by this fact: in the background of the Live Photos, I could clearly make out "Aphasia" by Pinegrove playing. That's one of my favorite songs of all time, and I've never heard it played anywhere out and about, save for at a Pinegrove show. Props to whomever was working the aux cord that day ;-)

We picked all six ciders for our tasting

I love this place! Don't think; just stop in and enjoy some ciders or cocktails made with their ciders. We stopped here because it was recommended by the Redbeard Brewery across the street, where we had the beer that was a collaboration between the two. We were just passing through the town as it began raining really hard. The friendly server greeted us as we walked in the back door. We asked if we could bring in our furbaby, and they said yes! The decor is charming, minimalist, and bright. There are many different seating areas for you to sit in after you order at the bar. We picked the sofas near the front window. They had art on the wall that you could purchase if you inquired with the artist. We appreciate that they have six ciders, and you can do a flight of four or six. We picked six since we were sharing and like cider. I'm a science teacher, so I enjoyed that the tasting glasses were little beakers. We enjoyed all of the ciders. My hubby's fav was the pink oceans that taste like strawberries. My favorites were the two off-drys Mellow gold and Budhoney. My hubby agreed that he now will remember the off-dry description of ciders as we really liked them. It was fun to learn some cider lingo as we tasted all of their options. Then the brut, Hellas dry was my third favorite. Next were the pathfinder and pink oceans, which are semi-sweet. The last place was the liquid gang, which is tart and tannic. The bartender checked on us multiple times and ensured we didn't have questions or needed anything else even though we were not at the bar.

I'm not a big cider fan, honestly couldn't tell you if I'd ever even had it before tonight, but since we're here in Staunton for the weekend celebrating our anniversary, we figured why not? We were planning to do a late dinner nearby, and love trying out new places. So we stopped in for a bit and checked the place out. We were greeted as soon as we walked in and offered some tasters. Immediately decided on a flight of four and went to sear ourselves at a table. We tried the Hellas Dry (my fave), Pathfinder, Budhoney, and De Stijl. They all had very distinct flavors, but I did enjoy the Hellas Dry and Pathfinder more than the other two. We enjoyed our time there, just hanging out, and would definitely go back and hang out to kill time again.

Meridian Bae Breeze $8 cocktail- so yummy if you like grapefruit!

I loved visiting this place- it was a whole vibe in and of itself! I was here for a bachelorette weekend, and this was one of the stops. The ciders were not very sweet (which I didn't love), but their mixed drinks were so good!! That's what I ended up getting after I realized how good those were! Definitely a worthy & cool spot to check out!

First time visiting Staunton downtown and stumbled upon this cidery! I got a flight of 4 to try out some of their flavors. Everyone will have different preferences and favorites but overall I enjoyed their service and the aesthetics! I liked how their ciders were placed in little lab beakers and had corresponding dots to remind me of the name. My top 2 were Districts and Pathfinder. The place was spacious with lots of seating and light - making it a great place to get together with others. The use of a dark teal color with some green plants all around made it a nice place to enjoy my cider! The servers were also really nice!

Brand new ciderie in Staunton with a cool science theme. Love the beaker flight glasses - 4 samples for $10. The De Stijl was our favorite, bourbon aged Caramel toned goodness. Shady Lady and Marigold Gold were also good, a little on the dry side. Pathfinder is a little sweeter and our second favorite.

We stumbled upon Ciders From Mars and I'm so glad we did! Some of the best ciders I've had! The owners have taken such pride in their product and you can tell by each cider they have created.

Friendly staff, tasty ciders, cool space! We had a great visit on a Sunday afternoon. Not too busy at all. The 6 cider tasting flight for $15 is a great deal. Most of the ciders were dry which we enjoyed.

The tasting is a great deal and I believe it's $5 for 5 tastings and you can pay extra for more samples. There are no flights. The Off the Press cider with no added sugar was quite sweet on its own and my favorite! My hubby enjoyed the peach and Honey Ginger cider. The cinnamon spiced Wassail cider was tasty and perfect for the fall and comes in larger 16 oz cans (4 pack is $14) while some of the other flavors like the Honey Ginger and Peach ciders come in smaller, 12 oz cans (4 pack for $11). We bought 3 packs - Wassail, Honey Ginger, and Off the Press (Peach was sold out!) and devoured them within a week! I wasn't a big fan of the Strawberry and Blackberry ciders. There's outdoor seating to soak in the sweeping views of the Shenandoah hillside and the beautiful fields and pastures! The indoor seating is a bit cramped for only a dozen or so people. There's a small market next door that sells produce and meat. The food truck sold cider donuts and some hot food and drinks, I wish the donut was hot (it was stone cold!). Love the cider and will be back when we're in the area!

I am not a fan of the Meade or cider, but my wife was so we drove the gravel road to the Old Hill Hard Cider brewery and orchard, and the view was spectacular. High up on a hill looking down over the valley. As for the service, she was incredibly accommodating. We ordered a flight of ciders and chatted with her about the dry versus the sweet. In the end my wife found a wonderful option, the Virginia blackberry cider. She said it was her favorite. I had a Virginia tannin which I found matched a white Sauvignon blanc in some flavor, and was good for sipping in the shade on top the hill. Later we walked through the market, grabbed a 1/2 gallon of cider and pet the area dog before we headed out. I wish it was closer, but it deserved a 5 star for the cider.

The setting was exceptional: perched beside the cidery with a pasture stretching out nearby, it had that perfect mix of open space and laid-back charm. For a first outing, I don't have much to compare it to, but it's hard to imagine a better start. Connectivity was surprisingly excellent--we were pulling 5G UW, which felt like a small miracle and made everything easier. The location couldn't have been more convenient, with trails, venues, and restaurants all close at hand. The cidery itself offered around two dozen options, and the Imperial Peach quickly became our go-to libation. And yes, they've got a happy hour at the cidery--and you already know that's my favorite time of day. Within three miles, you've got IGA, the ABC store, and Beltie's, while Devil's Backbone sits right across the street. The on-site BBQ Beast delivered exactly what you'd hope for--no surprises, just solid, satisfying fare. We lucked into something special during our stay, landing right in the middle of a migration path. One morning alone brought the sights and sounds of over 25 bird species--nature putting on a full show. All told, it's a fantastic place to boondock. We enjoyed it enough to tack on an extra night, which says plenty. Here's hoping the rest of our adventures measure

There is very limited seating in the indoor wine bar--two small tables is just about it. If they don't have a wedding or other event, the large barn-like event space is open with seating, but its cool and drafty so if you're hiding from the weather it is not ideal. They have a very small food menu and offer a rotating menu of cider flights and cocktails. Generally, ciders are quite dry, not at all like angry orchard or redd's (for comparison). The cocktails are fun and creative. I loved having the option for a hot drink in late December. At some point, I'd love to be able to come when the weather is beautiful and can take advantage of their outdoor wine bar, fire pits, and view. Ample parking, though as you follow the road up to the winery, you move from gravel to packed dirt. Parking can get quite muddy as it is just grass/dirt, and there can be some deep tracks left from cars in previous weather. Definitely not a reason to skip this place, but something that we noticed as we were coming/going since we were in a very small car.
