Loved this place! Popped in while passing through and met the owners and sampled some ciders. It was truly a special place. They have put so much love into the land and space. I really hope to visit again!

    Flight of all their ciders

We were the only ones here. We sat inside since it was a bit cold outside. We ordered 2 flights to try all 8 of their ciders. 3 were drinkable, the others we had to chug because they tasted like nail polish and very metallic. Behind the tasting room, there were apple trees in a cool circular pattern. Beautiful view.

Very friendly place offering great ciders. We started with flights of the dryer ones and ended sharing a flight of the sweeter versions. Left with several bottles to remember our visit.

My favorite Fruition and it's pretty too

Halcyon is what dreams are made of.Views are perfect and absolutely gorgeous. Make sure you bring a picnic lunch. I brought food that pairs well with sweet cider. But they honestly have a great variety. You can pay as you go or you can open a tab. We ordered 2 flights. My husband let our hostess pick the most popular *Jubilance-premium barrel aged, notes of Kentucky bourbon and vanilla *Beguille-semi dry. Crisp, tart, finished off zesty *Humblebee-sweet like wildflower honey. Reminds me of mead *Fickle-blend of apples, crisp and fresh. I think everyone would like this one I on the other hand totally loved picking my flight. *Ashmead-dry cider. Sour with a mineral taste *Labyrinth-blend of heirloom apples with modern apples. This is their all star blend *Fruition-semi-sweet. Notes of Deep delicious Cherry. Has southern charm and I could drink this all day. Oh and the color is perfectly pink *Wanderlust-sweet and delicious. Peach infused. I dream of drinking this on a hot beach day. So perfectly peachy. 5 star staff and very knowledgeable. The building is absolutely gorgeous and they have different areas to drink and eat. They do sell snacks if you don't bring food. They also sell a really cute keepsake glass. I wish they were close to where I live. I will make a trip just to see what wonderful flavors they have

Stopped by Halcyon on my way back from Roanoke after hiking at natural bridge. I was looking for a dog friendly location and this cidery fit the bill. It is a very cute location with tons of charm from the restored tasting room to the apple orchard labyrinth I truly enjoyed my time on the property. The ciders were the star of the stop as I was looking for some options for family Christmas and I ended up buying six bottles! Their flavors rotate and I decided to get the sweet flight, which included the spiced apple, bakers batch, humblebee, and toasty toes. My favorites were the spiced apple and toasty toes which had just the right mix of sweet and spice. I also was able to try the sleepy hallow, smitten, wanderlust and harmony and got a bottle of all but the sleepy hallow. If you like ciders and relaxing in a gorgeous setting I highly recommend adding this location to your list!

Lovely place to sit and enjoy some local ciders. We arrived at 1230 am on a Saturday. And ordered 2 flights. I went with the sweet flight and the fruity flight. Just over $20 total. They have 3 outdoor seating areas all covered, that have a rustic look. They also have a game room with seating area. The owners are very friendly and happy to help with decisions. They also have a maze made out of the trees nearby. We were unable to try the maze today but will be back to walk it. Plenty of parking on the front, the side and overflow in the rear if needed.

How does this place not have 100+ reviews?!? The ciders are delicious. You can walk the orchard while you enjoy your tasty beverage. Cookies and cheeses are sometimes available inside. You should swing by. This place is great

This was so fun and it's just off highway 81. Close to Natural Bridge area but also to Lexington, VA. Maybe 17 minutes from Lex? There are 2000 espaliered apple trees arranged in a maze but there are helpful sections to get out of it. We tried two flights - one was a fall selection. My favorite of the fall was the Bee's Knees. Out of the regular, we liked M'apple. Very light and fun to drink. They will give you a plastic cup to walk the maze while drinking. Plenty of seating inside and out. Bottles are $16. Fun souvenir gift to buy & give. They also sell apple cider vinegar. Cute historic old cabin is the retail store. A basket full of fun toys for the kids and they can have apple cider too! The owners were there and delightful. Really nice people.

This place is a gem! The bartender was helpful and knowledgeable, the ciders are delicious and the apple orchard labyrinth is the best part. We enjoyed sitting under the gazebo at the center of the orchard, drinking cinder and snacking on cheese and crackers. I absolutely love that you can bring your snacks and drinks into the orchard and wander around and enjoy the scenery. Highly recommend this place!

We are not sad that we did. This place is amazing. The cider is top notch and the barbecue is spot on. Definitely try the ribs and if you're a collard green fan, they are pretty fantastic. They're not like the collard greens in the deep south, but they got game. The cider is very well done!!!

The setting was exceptional: perched beside the cidery with a pasture stretching out nearby, it had that perfect mix of open space and laid-back charm. For a first outing, I don't have much to compare it to, but it's hard to imagine a better start. Connectivity was surprisingly excellent--we were pulling 5G UW, which felt like a small miracle and made everything easier. The location couldn't have been more convenient, with trails, venues, and restaurants all close at hand. The cidery itself offered around two dozen options, and the Imperial Peach quickly became our go-to libation. And yes, they've got a happy hour at the cidery--and you already know that's my favorite time of day. Within three miles, you've got IGA, the ABC store, and Beltie's, while Devil's Backbone sits right across the street. The on-site BBQ Beast delivered exactly what you'd hope for--no surprises, just solid, satisfying fare. We lucked into something special during our stay, landing right in the middle of a migration path. One morning alone brought the sights and sounds of over 25 bird species--nature putting on a full show. All told, it's a fantastic place to boondock. We enjoyed it enough to tack on an extra night, which says plenty. Here's hoping the rest of our adventures measure

The cider is phenomenal, ranging from sweet and floral to funky and refreshing. Everything is fermented locally, using a majority of "lost" fruit. Fruit that hasn't been tended to and let go wild. I also really recommend their Co-Ferment if they have it while you're there! We brought our dog and he was relaxed, we were relaxed. It was an absolute beautiful space, filled with so much care. Very cute location and be sure to look out for the signs. It was quite windy that weekend so the signs were blown over but easily found our way to the taste room. The main floor was very spacious and rustic. As mentioned earlier, my friend made reservations, paid the deposit, and for the cheese board ahead of time. (I'd recommend doing this ahead of time if you are visiting out of town.) It did take a while for us to get the cider started, but we looked over their options and decided on the cider flight. This cidery was definitely unique and different because this cider is actually dry. I'm used to the sweeter cider side but this cidery was dry and crisp. The cheese plate was attractive and delish. The ONLY thing I would suggest is...less blue cheese. I have nothing against blue cheese, but it was sure a big slice and my friends cannot say no to cheese. hahaha. Overall, definitely worth the stop and the place is adorable! Oh, if you get the chance, go upstairs to their attic. It was gigantic and unique.
