This place was one of my favorite stops when visiting the Lexington area. Ecco Adesso Vineyards is family-friendly and dog-friendly place to enjoy a picnic and some wine surrounded by the Blue Ridge and Appalachian Mountains. Along with wine tastings, Ecco Adesso offers their 350 acre farm as a place to explore the vineyards, hiking trails, meadows, orchards, waterfalls and creeks that are on the grounds. I got a wine flight, which included four 2-ounce pours. There are four flights to choose from, and I chose the Old World/New World flight, which had two Chardonnays and two Cabernet Francs. I'm not a Chardonnay person at all, but I'm 100% a Cab Franc person. It turns out, I really loved the Chardonnay! Who'd-a known. That's the great thing about doing a flight: You can try something new and maybe discover something about yourself along the way. I enjoyed my wine flight on the big porch outside of the winery. The porch overlooks the beautiful grape vineyards, and it's a picturesque sight to behold for sure. The porch has big rocking chairs, so you can sit and sip and rock and stare at the scenery. I found that the people who work here were incredibly friendly and helpful. At one point, I wanted to try a little taste of a different wine that wasn't on my flight, and they didn't even blink and just gave me a pour. So nice! read more

Sunday Funday was an exciting adventure as we embarked on a road trip to Fairfield, VA to visit Ecco Adesso Vineyards. The drive may have been long, but it was absolutely worth it. The vineyard reminded me of a charming château, with its picturesque surroundings and elegant atmosphere. It was a truly unforgettable experience that left me feeling inspired and rejuvenated. I was warmly welcomed by Brian and a lovely young lady (I apologize for forgetting your name). They were both delightful and made me feel right at home. Brian even took me on a tour of the cellar and eagerly answered all of my questions! They offered four different types of wine flights for tasting. One from Williamsburg Vineyard, one from Sassaia Vineyards (from Italy, as they are close friends), an old world vs new world flight, and one from Ecco Adesso. I decided to go with the flight from the winery. My favorites were the 2022 Petit Manseng and the 2022 new world Chardonnay. I highly recommend making the drive to the vineyard as it does not disappoint with its wines, beautiful scenery, sheep, and overall serenity. Don't forget to pack a picnic! read more

As a resident of Washington, DC, writing a review for a winery that took 2.5 hours to get to one way, you better believe these 5 stars are straight up, no bs. Ecco Adesso transports you to the Italian mountains where you sip on some of VA's greatest offerings from Tibaut champagne to Early Mountain rose all while enjoying the rolling hills of Tuscany, I mean, Fairfield! Don't get lost in the charm of the interior design, or wooden tavern-like tasting room because the property in its entirety are worth exploring! We did the sparkling tasting and grabbed a bottle before heading to the picnic tables under the big oak trees. I can't say this enough, there is no place like Ecco. I will gladly make the trek back down, maybe in the cooler months so we can get cozy by their fireplace while sipping their first produced varietals set to be released this fall! read more

After meeting the owners at a local event, we decided to visit on our way to TN. The winery and tasting room are simply gorgeous! I cannot say enough about how well appointed and thoughtful the architecture is. We knew going into it that they only had two wines of their own, but never in a million years did I think I would have to join their "wine club" (I use that term loosely here as their is no wine to be sent or picked up throughout the year) for $99 in order to sample their own wines. You can't even buy it by the bottle without joining. I think this will be a fabulous place to come back to in 5 years when their 17+ acres of new vines is producing and they have actual wines to sample. read more

I don't recommend until they get established. They are serving other people's wine, some from Virginia. The Jump Mountain Red in the $20 Red Flight was undrinkable. If you must go, buy a glass of any Early Mountain Red or White and find a spot to sit and enjoy the view, which is quite beautiful. Trust me. read more

The interior is beautifully decorated and designed. I didn't expect to be blown away but everything was just perfect. View was amazing at sunset and the staff was welcoming and knowledgeable about the wines they offer. They also support veterans and that's a big deal for us. read more

Driving back to Northern Va from Roanoke I knew I wanted to check out a new winery along the way. Let me tell you Ecco Adesso Vineyards did not disappoint and was definitely worth the little 15min detour off my route. Let's start with the scenery. The vineyard is beautiful and you cannot beat the mountains and the beautiful skies surrounding it. There are Airbnb rentals on site that look cozy and fun. The tasting room has a ton of outdoor seating, complete with multiple fire pits and comfy chairs. Inside the tasting room has beautiful fireplaces and multiple areas of seating that include couches, cushy chairs, community tables, and little nooks. The ladies serving were very knowledgeable, professional, and personable. Lots of yummy wines to choose from and even some Bold Rock hard cider. I loved their build your own picnic basket option. Where you can purchase individual items to curate your own picnic/pairing. Restrooms were clean and adequately stocked. It's family, kid, and dog friendly. Highly recommend! Cheers! read more

Me and my husband stayed at the barn loft for 3 nights. The loft was great and very cozy with a big deck. The bedroom was a good size and the bathroom was great. The location was amazing with spectacular sunsets. We walked around on the property with our 2 dogs and really enjoyed the quiet. My only negative would be the public parking that was next to the barn loft, not a pretty view and some pretty loud, singing guests one night. We did meet Mike(owner) and he was very nice. gorgeous property - but booked thru Airbnb - payed $209 cleaning service fee and then $150 pet fee - only to have said "we trashed the place" which was just the two of us -which we had to go to the local Walmart to buy our own trash bags which were not provided . and said we didn't clean the oven (which no oven was to be found in the 400 square foot cabin) and we didn't take the trash to "the local dump" which was 7 miles away. after we left they charged an additional $350 for "additional cleaning fees" my husband an I live in a big mansion that is plush - how dare these "newbies " claim this . stay clear! read more

Old Timber Ridge, a very charming historic farmhouse across the street from Ecco Adesso, provided us a much needed get away for a long weekend. The home décor is excellent and offered us an amazingly comfortable stay. The owners are very thoughtful and ensure you have an excellent experience. Old Timber Ridge offers a spacious modern kitchen, large gathering rooms with smart TVs, large bedrooms, and an awesome front porch to enjoy the views the area has to offer. Ecco Adesso winery complements the beautiful countryside, offering excellent wines and live music. Views from the Pavilion are breathtaking. Baskets filled with delicious foods complement the wines. Several other farms are nearby and well worth the time exploring. Old Timber Ridge's front porch offers a great place to wind down with wine and family/friends after a day of exploring the area. The winery staff are very attentive to your needs and knowledgeable about what Ecco Adesso and the surrounding area has to offer. We highly recommend you visit Ecco Adesso. read more
