My first winery experience was quaint and romantic! We had the whole orchid to ourselves and got to taste over 15 wines for less than $15 a person. Cute cheese plates were available and the wines were extremely unique. Melody was extremely knowledgeable on the history of the property and gave us a wonderful experience. They also do garlic and wine festivals and have many bottles for sale at the location. We ended up getting 6 and they comped the tasting fee!

I loved Rebec. It's cute and funky and their tasting features seventeen (!) wines. I thought the woman said $17 but no...seventeen wines for $10, plus a glass. Rebec is situated on some beautiful land and it is very pretty. The roadway to get there is gravelly and narrow--I luckily didn't need to pass a car because there was no room. That was the only part I didn't like. Service was amazing. I forget the woman's name but she was fantastic. Super friendly and knowledgeable. We chatted for a while because I was the only visitor and it was great. I really appreciated her tasting. I learned a lot about the wines and the winemaker. I was a big fan of the Gewurztraminer and cherry wines. Their herb-infused Sweet Sofia is really perfect for Thanksgiving, as the notes state. A few of the wines I didn't care for, but overall, I really enjoyed most of them and left with three bottles that I'm so excited to drink. Rebec is a great experience and I cannot recommend it enough. Hoping to get back with some friends and for their Garlic Festival.

Fantastic, Hidden Find I kid you not, this vineyard is quite possibly the most creative vineyard I have ever been to. Other reviews here have spoken to the fact that the owner, Svetlozar, LOVES making wine. We were able to get a personal tasting with him, the wine maker, as our pourer. The wine tasting was $14. You get SIXTEEN TASTINGS!!! SIXTEEN!! The wine flavors were rich and delicious, with each being noticeably different. The flavors and choices in the wines were flowing with creativity. I love all of the choices Svetlozar made. The Sweet Sofia and the Gewurtztraminer were my personal favorites. If you're worried about the rating, don't be. Even if the wine was $10, it would still be worth it. Stop on by for a relaxing, delicious tasting!

Such a lovely small and quaint winery! Svetlozar clearly has a passion for winemaking that brings a sense of creativity to wine that I haven't tasted before! We'll definitely be back for the Wine and Garlic festival in October!

Svet is AMAZING. He clearly love wine and you can taste the passion in every product, even one's your palette does love. He personally led us through the tasting, which was an excellent price at $14 to try EACH AND EVERY WINE (which there are over 10). My personal favorite is the "Sweet Sofia". It is so herbal I would compare it to absinthe! An incredible unique taste. Overall: service for a Monday was beyond anything I would have expected and the ambiance is very niche. I can't wait to come back for their Garlic Festival!

Rebec is unique amongst VA wineries. They have a HUGE selection (despite only having 2 acres) of wines, assisted by the purchase of out of state grapes. I didn't find any wines that I was in love with, but at least the prices were very reasonable. The wine maker LOVES to make wine - so much so he can't confine himself. Fruit wines, Riesling, Pinot Noir, sweet, dry - it's here, and most are under $20. Apparently he also loves garlic, because Rebec sponsors an annual garlic festival. The most unique wine was called "Sweet Sofia", and was an herb-infused wine with origins of his hometown in Bulgaria.

This place is known for their annual Garlic and Wine festival but we didn't know that until we arrived for their annual Labor Day festival and it was fun even in the rain!! The festival was a great way to try all of Rebec's wines and also check out 5-7 other wineries from the area. There was live music the entire day and food trucks from around the area. All this for only $15 beforehand or $20 at the door...great deal, fun festival, good times! And all of the vendors take square so no need to bring cash!

    Look how pretty!

It was a rainy weekday when we popped in on Rebec. The gal assisting us was so very welcoming, it was like hanging out with an old friend talking about wine. We really enjoyed our time at the tasting, learned a lot about their wines and their process. Their outside deck looked so welcoming, had it not been wet we'd have stayed longer. I recommend stopping by sometime, it's a very enjoyable visit!

She has an absurd amount of experience and knows exactly how to focus on the couple so that it is a stress free day! The grounds are beautiful- they put a ton of work into making sure flowers are blooming, everything is clean, and the set up is exactly how you like it. They maintain tons of lights that make the venue look like something out of a fairy tale. Teresa went out of her way to help me during the planning process so that everything was prepared and she took care to communicate all of the details with us so it was all taken care of. She solved countless crises (the cake baker backing out last minute, the rehearsal dinner being double booked, our outside caterer being non responsive, I could go on...) without ever adding stress to my plate and with always taking care of the problem in a quick and professional manner. Everything is also priced very reasonably- I honestly would have been willing to pay double what we did for the great service we got and the beauty of the venue. Also, we received massive discounts from other vendors because they love working at Glencliff so much. The bouquets were also incredible! Teresa included extra flowers and designed the bouquets to fit in perfectly with the rest of the day. She is clearly an expert in her trade. Everything was fabulous and I'm so thankful we chose Glencliff for our wedding!

The grounds are breath-taking! (Many of our wedding guests were very complimentary on how beautiful Glencliff was!) Teresa was wonderful to work with - she handled so many details for us that would have been difficult to take care of long distance. Although we did not use all of her "team" for one-stop-shopping, it was nice to have that option. We had our wedding ceremony at a nearby church and Teresa was there for the rehearsal and service, making sure everything came off without a hitch! Teresa did a beautiful job with the bridal party flowers, the poolside spread of hors de oeurves, and a delicious dinner. Her DJ, Carla, was fabulous - handled the job of Master of Ceremonies professionally and kept thing running smoothly! I was most impressed with Teresa's willingness to do what she could to make it truly "our wedding". We appreciated her expertise and suggestions but bottom line, she listened to what the bride desired and did all she could to accommodate our requests - even if it meant making last minute changes. I have no reservations in recommending Teresa and Glencliff Manor for YOUR wedding/reception venue!

Goodness where do I begin? The Barn at Gully Tavern was of course the first vendor we booked, and…read moreover the span of our 2 year engagement Robert and Dawn (the owners) were absolutely incredible. I researched 16 venues, narrowed it down to about 8 or so, we toured a total of TWO because The Barn at Gully Tavern was the 2nd venue we toured. We waited a week before firmly deciding, but we knew by the time we had gotten home from the tour. Robert and Dawn are some of the kindest, most honest, genuine people you'll meet. They built the barn for their daughter to get married during covid, and then their next daughter got married, and they loved making weddings a reality so much they started doing it for other brides, and you can tell they love what they do. The venue is always clean, taken care of, and they're always trying to improve it in some way. The venue is GORGEOUS, while it may be called a barn it did not feel like one from a farm, it is spacious, beautiful, the interior needs little to no decor because of the pretty high ceiling and drapes and lights (you'll see in photos). I personally loved the option for hand picked antique chairs they include with your rental, and they even have some decor you can use, especially arches. They handled the setup and did a great job bringing the floor plan to life for ceremony and reception. The pond is so pretty, we got married in April and the trees were lush and green and nature was our friend in photos. They handle all the landscaping and every time I visited it looked amazing. While super random, I really appreciated the bathrooms by the barn, they built them from some type of wood that gave the whole thing a natural pleasant smell, they're always clean, and the stalls are spacious and provide privacy (good for ballgowns like mine XD). The guys loved the groom's cottage and it was so nice getting ready at the venue in their bridal suite. I love the light blues and there was a big bathroom in there and a closet for our dresses while we got ready. In every way you can tell they care for their couples. And guests! They have a polaris they can use to drive down guests before the ceremony that might need assistance getting down the hill. I'm trying not to ramble but I could go on and on about how wonderful they were, I mean Robert literally saved the day when our photographer wasn't going to be there in time for the ceremony, he called around photographers he knew in the area until he got one, and our ceremony only ended up 30 minutes behind thanks to him, and we ended up back on track by dinner! I could not recommend them any more, they are the right choice for a venue.

I stood at a high point that first night, and I watched everyone milling around like ants on a lawn, it was like watching ants (except people were wearing glow stick necklaces, which made it even cooler). Truly amazing. I think the music was the best that first year too. Food vendors everywhere! The variety was unreal. The porta potty system was as expected, rough!
