A very nice working brewery. A good sized bar as well as a decent inside and outside seating area. A good choice of beers and an awesome food choices. Everyone comes here for the Detroit style pizza. Full bar and a few wine choices as well. You can park in the outside lot across the street or in the parking garage.

Casual local brew pub. Detroit style pizza is good, and whenever you're at a brew pub it's a sin not to order a flight!

What's better than quality beer? Oh, just some quality beer food to go with it! Checking out local breweries is only second to local coffee shops when I'm in a new place. And this was definitely one to visit. I saw the menu and landed there for supper. The evening air was crisp, the fireplace was lit (yeah, they have like an entire reading room setup at one end of the brewery), and the aromas were dancing like someone already three pints in. Having walked and wondered all day, I had food on the brain. I ordered the breadsticks and chicken bacon ranch Detroit style pizza. The vibe of the place is one I would be a regular at if I lived here. Also, the fact that it's coupled with not-scorched-earth-temperatures like here in Georgia. Fast, delicious, and more than enough to fill me up. I will be back to try more next time around. Also, don't forget to check-in. Doing so gets you a free logo pint glass!

This is a great place! The interior is inviting, warm and cozy with a couch and "library" room to the side. The bar is in the middle and also really great outside dining. Believe it or not, I was here twice in a 24 hour period. My sister and I were visiting my brother (my sister from Texas and me from Philly) as he is a professor at a nearby university. During the day while he taught classes, my sister and I explored the downtown and happened upon Fire Brewing. My dear sister happens to have a full blown shot glass collection but doesn't really drink that much (go figure) but was happy to try a beer flight with me. I'm definitely not a beer expert but this selection was outstanding and even my dear sister *almost* made it through her flight because the beer was so tasty. The sour was a stand out. We shared a huge, fresh, perfectly doughy pretzel with delicious cheese and stone ground mustard. When my bro finished teaching he suggested this place for pizza. My sister and I told him we had been there during the day but happy to return and we did! More beer and a delicious white pizza with mushrooms and peppers (my sis is a vegetarian...hmmm... I'm seeing a theme here, haha). The pizza is very thick crust and delicious. We shared the green salad and it easily fed the three of us and was tasty. More beer! My sister, now that she has become a beer expert asked for the sour. I had an IPA. Once again, just as good as before. If you find yourself in Harrisonburg this is the place to go!

If you are looking for a place with good vibes, good beer, and weekly fun events, this is it. My friends and I come at least once a week to enjoy our favorite drinks and participate in their events (such as Singo, or Trivia nights). They have good beer options, and have recently started serving cocktails as well. You can also order food, which is also superb (the pizza or spinach artichoke dip are my favs) and it's overall just a cozy vibe. Staff are also very nice and quick!

Well thank goodness I finally decided to nip in to 3rd Generations Grill last evening for a hot meal and a cold beer after a long day. I was quite happy with the experience. From the outside it doesn't look like much, but the dining room is large, open, and features a nice bar at the back with a decent selection of draft beer (sadly no dark options for the porter- and brown ale-loving crowd) and sundry spirits. The walls are plastered with rock & roll posters (they get extra credit for the Ziggy Stardust poster on the left side of the room as you enter) and the space is clean and well lit without being antiseptic and blazing. I think with a larger crowd (it was a bit sparse on my visit) the room could be a bit loud, so if quiet is your thing maybe plan for a low traffic time. After negotiating a workaround for the QR code-based online menu (I deduct a full star if that's my only option for ordering because I think it's poor service), I ordered the Generator burger from my very friendly, helpful, and service-forward bartender. What's great is I told him what I was looking for and he competently guided me to one of the best burgers I've had in a while. Double smashed patty, double bacon, cheese, onion. I added lettuce and tomato because I want to dupe myself into believing I had a vegetable that evening. Comes with side of their hand-cut fries and is a hearty portion of well prepared food. When I say this is a two-handed-eat-over-the-plate-like-a-caveman burger, that's exactly what it is. Thing is a monster of beautiful beef and bacon and cheese (sorry vegans, try again). Oh, and the food came out in good time--not fast food, but good food fast. I have a minor quibble with the fries which, while hand cut and nicely seasoned, were a bit under and kinda soggy. Not inedible, but could be better. I think if they blanched the fries before the final cook they'd achieve a crispier outside with that nice cushy potato centre you want in a French fry. But that's the only quibble. Service: six stars Food: four stars Ambiance: four stars Value: five stars I'll be going back again, for sure. No photos this time because I am a pig man and I tend to eat half my plate before my brain says, "hey! Yelp review inbound!"

The reason for 4 stars is the food while good and unique missed the mark a bit. The fried elements seemed to either indicate the oil was a bit old or they overcooked a few of our items. The fried greenbeans while really good overall and a unique preparation. Had a subtle burnt flavor and same with the Catfish Poboy. The PoBoy was uniquely prepared too with green tomatoes that really worked well. But the condiment was thin, and the tomatoes could have been a bit thicker cut. So flavor was good, but could have been better. The fries that came with the sandwiches were good though. So TLDR, the breading on the catfish, and the fried green beans, was thick and looked slightly over cooked and tasted a tad burnt but at the same time the food itself seemed cooked properly. Not horrible and overall was very good. Just not 5 star. But much better than standard bar food fare. Standout though was the dessert (Hot Brownie with ice cream) it was absolutely amazing. I'll be back and hopefully can give them a 5 star later.

The restaurant was empty of customers and only a couple of guys at the bar. The waitress came to our table and took our drink order along with out food order. The drinks didn't arrive for about twenty minutes. After the delivery of the drinks, the waitress didn't return to our table to take a second or subsequent drink orders. Finally, the drinks arrived and we waited for the food. There are a lot of local craft beers on the list, along with a wide selection of whiskies. Would have been fun to try some, but we never really had service at out table. This bar is Irish themed and Irish folk music is played on the sound system, loudly. Not bad, but you do h a very to speak up during conversations. The food arrived and was ,"just okay". I had the fried chicken sandwich, my friends had the burger. My wife had the grilled chicken sandwich. All meals came with fries. The service needs to step up their game. It was not busy at all and the wait staff were more interesting in socializing with each other than tending to the customers. Also, the food was delivered warm, it probably had been sitting under a light for some time. This place has great potential, but changes in service staffs priorities need to happen. Not impressed with this place, but if you decide to give them a try, I hope your experiences are better than ours.
