In my opinion, it's an average sized clean, well maintained salon with exceptional people doing the work. What you will find: is quality product, professional, skilled & friendly nail stylists. For those other reviews: Yes, they speak Vietnamese to one another. But that's because it's their first language. They aren't talking about you. They aren't those catty women you hear about. This isn't that type of establishment. They speak English very well and if you converse with them.... They have intelligent things to say back! (Shocking right?! ... Get a life people!) Want to know why?! They are the same. Respectable women and mothers who have depth beyond nails. So chat it up with them, make a friend, treat them with respect, they are people too. Good, amazing, funny people who I look forward to seeing every 2 weeks. The added bonus is that the clientele is the same. Amazing women!! (And the very courageous man, here and there) I get a gel mani, a hot stone pedi & an eyebrow wax every 2 weeks with Jessie like clockwork. Their pedis are amazing. They have a menu where you can choose your sugar scrub or upgrade your service. I used to do the basic spa pedi (spa pedi: nail care, dead skin removal, sugar scrub, massage & color), then I tried the hot oil, then I took a chance and tried the hot stone (it helps my chronic pain). Let me just forewarn you, once you plunge into the abyss of what is called the hot stone pedicure, you will never come back. It's addictive and costly so find a way to work it in your budget. It's the highest priced pedi you can get (from what I recall) and there is reason.... It is paradise. Hot stone will not only relax you, take away your pain, but it will take you on a mini mind vacation that you will never want to leave. After a hot stone pedi, you leave loving life, loving your job and... Even loving your in laws. What I've learned by going here is: I need a friendly professional clean environment. I'm a professional, so my expectations are high and snobby as compared to most. I've been to the snooty fancy pants high end nail salons both here and in New York and all I left with was regret and sub par service. So no, they do not have crystal chandeliers, bottle service, catered lunch, a waterfall that is a replica of Niagra Falls, incense burning or Enya playing through the speakers. Let me tell you, all that glitters ain't gold. What they do have is good people, good work & happy clients. This salon may not glitter aesthetically, but there is no denying it far surmounts gold.

Short nail girl here!!…read more NAIL TECHNICIAN: Annabella I have been getting my nails done by Annabella for so long now and they NEVER EVER disappoint. My work requires I have short nails which was one of the biggest bummers given I've done long, design packed, nails my whole life, but, Annabella has completely changed that limiting reality for me when she showed me short nails can be just as great. The health of my natural nails goes without mention. Sometimes I can't even believe it myself. I look back and thank god that I have to transition out of long nails because they were DESTROYING the integrity of my naturals. My nail beds have grown significantly and overall, it's a lot less maintenance to have short nails. I've attached photos of some of my favorites she's done for me and now I'm itching for a new set (though I love my current). 10/10 recommend Annabella. She is so thorough, trustworthy, talented, and sanitary.

I had a really disappointing experience at this nail salon and would not recommend it…read more I got Gel-X nails done by Annabella, and almost immediately when I got home something felt wrong. My fingers were in pain, and it felt like the nails were lifting or separating. I called the next day and spoke with Samantha to explain the issue. I asked if I could come in to have two nails fixed and the set filed down because they were unusually thick (I've had Gel-X many times before and never experienced this). She told me to come in, but when I arrived, she dismissed my concerns and said it was "just the glue settling" and that nothing was wrong. Despite clearly seeing how thick the nails were, she didn't offer to fix them. By the very next day, the nails started coming off. I called again and asked for the set to be redone since the issue was clearly due to the application, but they refused. This is unacceptable, Gel-X sets typically last me at least 3-4 weeks, not just a few days. I ended up going to another salon to have them redone, and even that technician commented on how poorly the original set had been done. Overall, this salon showed no accountability and no respect for my time or money. I would not return.

They conned my 12-year-old niece to get things that she didn't understand or even had the money to pay for; I sent my niece in to ask them how much it would be for a basic pedicure with regular polish and a full set with get polish for her nails. They told her $60. so, I told her she can get them done. When I came back to get my niece, she said she paid $127, She had her toes done which they claimed to use dipping powder and that's not what she asked for. They claimed that her big toenail was crooked which was a lie and said they put a fake nail on there. My niece said no nails was put on her feet or fingers. Why would you continue to add things to a child service when they told you what they were there for? Her fingernails were just painted, and no acrylic or tips was applied to her nails which was supposed to be a full set. it was all a mess. They claimed that they did a full set to her toes after making up all these lies and prices, they couldn't verify. (I have never heard of a full set to toes lol) omg it was a mess. my poor niece was so sad on her birthday because of this. I told them that was not what she asked for and that was too much money for something so simple. they refuse to remove the stuff off her toes and fingers and refund me or give me a percentage of my money back. My niece had to call her dad for more money to pay for this crap once they were done and gave her a price of $127. I wasn't aware of all of this until I picked her up. This place decor was beautiful and the shop looks clean and sanitized but it was definitely empty which raised my antenna right away. I was nervous that she wouldn't be able to deliver but surprisingly Kim did a really good job. Now here's the problem, her prices were ridiculous! She charged me $165 for services from $75 - $60 for an overlay full set and $15 for the French Design. Then she charged me $90 for a pedicure? $60 for a basic pedicure and $30 for the French and the callous removal. The $60 for a basic pedicure where there wasn't any extras like hot towels, foot scrub, stones, milk and honey, no wax or intense foot massage. Just a basic water with no jacuzzi, cuticle cut, callous removal $15 and a dry towel and French design. I will say I did get what I paid for but it was okay.

And then she kept filing down my nails. I told her to stop but she kept filing them down..nails look horrible. I got a light color and light colors require multiple dips NOT to where you basically see my nail. I should have NOT gone and just kept my natural nails. Btw: she asked me 2 other times if I wanted pedicure and my eyebrows. I said, "no thank you" I went in for dip powder and was TERRIBLE... -Length was too short -- didn't ask for this short. My tour guide openly explained that darker skin is viewed negatively in her culture because it has historically been associated with people who work outdoors, while lighter skin is preferred. She then told me that my skin tone was "fine." It was uncomfortable then, but I was a visitor in another country and chose to leave it there. That experience is precisely why I recognize what happened in your salon. Your technician did not simply use the words "dark skin" and leave room for me to misunderstand her meaning. She told me that she doesn't like dark skin, said that it was part of her culture, and then specifically distinguished my brown complexion by telling me that my skin was "fine" while darker skin was not. Explaining the cultural origin of a preference for lighter skin does not make that preference less colorist. Calling it a cultural or linguistic misunderstanding does not change what was said to me or what it meant. I also find the reference to your employees having "yellowish Asian skin tones" troubling. Being a person of color does not prevent someone from holding colorist attitudes toward people with darker complexions. What makes this explanation particularly concerning is that, from what I have observed, your salon serves a predominantly Black clientele. If you operate a business that welcomes and profits from Black customers across a range of complexions, then those customers should be able to sit in your chairs without hearing that an employee doesn't like skin that looks like theirs--or skin darker than theirs. Cultural context may explain where an attitude comes from; it does not excuse expressing it to a customer. I appreciate that you acknowledged the incorrect polish, the attempted charge for a service I did not request, and the unprofessional way my concerns were handled. Her technique is both efficient and mindful, striking the perfect balance between machine and hand filing. Initially, I was getting regular gel manicures, but Bernadette truly cares about nail health, and she suggested switching to builder gel (BIAB). It was a game-changer. Builder gel doesn't require soaking off and allows for continuous fills--meaning you can build on top of your last set without compromising nail integrity. Since switching, my nails have grown so long, strong, and healthy, and a single BIAB manicure can last me up to 6 weeks! Beyond nails, Bernadette is a wonderful person--easy to talk to, knowledgeable, and deeply caring. She also specializes in pedicures for clients with diabetes or other health conditions, which speaks volumes about her expertise and sensitivity to clients' unique needs.
