When I asked how I was disrespectful she announced in front of a customer that I said my daughter's nails looked like a whore which was NOT the word I used. I have never been to a nail salon where they cannot fill in or reshape gelx nails. The whole experience after being a customer at this location since they opened was disappointing and embarrassing. We've been doing builder gel and IBX nail repair every other appointment. I have definitely seen a marked difference. I've also been able to experience their waterless pedicure. Everyone there was so nice and friendly, offering us wonderful treatment and taking care of our pedi needs. My daughter, niece, and I came in having made a last min appointment maybe 2 hours before arriving. Although it was a busy Friday and all of the nail techs working on someone, somehow we were seated right away and bought drinks to sip while we waited for 2-3 techs to free up and take care of us. There were plenty of colors to choose from, I'm guessing all organic products were used as there weren't any harsh fumes present. I will definitely come back!

Could the customer service be warmer? Absolutely. I was delighted when I was told I could come in first thing the following day for my service. I arrived at the time scheduled and went to the location on the voucher, which was in Columbia. Turns out the technician that I saw was the same one I spoke to on the phone that did not speak much English. Instead of tattooing my eyebrows she proceeded to wax them. We found another tech who spoke English to sort out the misunderstanding. Turns out the permanent makeup artist works at the location in Ellicott City, not Columbia. They called and were able to get me right in so I left and headed over immediately. I was very happy with the way the problem was solved despite the misunderstanding. The Ellicott City Salon is much nicer! The staff there were all so friendly and I couldn't love my eyebrows more than I do right now! It was painful but the procedure did not take very long. I grabbed a brochure on my way out because I would love to return to this spot 4 future services. Aside from the scheduling snafu this place would be worthy of five stars.

Total wait time was maybe 5 mins. Again, not the end of the world. I was seated and the water jets started to run. I said to my nail tech that the water could be warmer but I'm not sure if she heard me because it stayed the same. Oh well. She gave a great leg and foot massage and the coals were superb. I got a standard paint job. The color was ok but some spots could have been redone. Overall, if you are in the area and want a simple pedi you can come here. There are plenty of other places around. However, the benefit of this salon is that it's open on Sunday and stays open later than most. But really, it's just ok. Service was very nice, though!

Despite living in the neighborhood for years, this somehow is my first time visiting Lee Nails (my…read morelocal Marriottsville shopping center) for nails! I had a builder gel in a bottle service with nail art done by Jen. Jen was a super sweet lady with 30 years of experience in nail art and an absolute pro at nail filing and shaping. It's clear that she loves what she does. She made my natural nails into a beautiful almond shape and was very gentle when trimming my cuticles and e-filing my nail bed being careful not to cut me (I've had plenty of bad experiences in the past of rushed, too rough techs who have drawn blood, which made me nervous to come to another salon). Not so here, I'm glad to say. It was a pleasure to watch Jen work. My only complaint I would say, is just that she might have filed away a little more of the nail than she needed from my left ring finger - which I didn't notice until she finished with some rubbing alcohol and cuticle oil at the end of the service, and it stung. Which left it a bit tender and sensitive after the service - I hope that it is nothing that might get infected. While I unfortunately wasn't able to get the exact design that I was looking for (the only disappointing part of my visit) because Jen (or the salon) was not able to do teardrop magnetic cat-eye art or chrome on top of cat-eye, and they only had white gel for 3D nail art. She was able to give me close to what I had asked within the salon's scope. All in all, it ended up costing me all of $95! She didn't even charge me the extra $15 for the cat-eye bc we didn't use the magnet! The salon is spotless, and everything seems to be wiped down before and after use (including polish bottles). Though I do wonder about the techs not wearing masks when filing away at clients' nails (mainly about their health) and about the habit of (at least my tech) using their own nails to wipe away excess polish instead of a brush dipped into acetone solution, as I had heard that that was a rather bad habit. Overall, I would definitely recommend this salon for nail care, prep, and enhancements (Gel, acrylic, extensions), where they (or at least Jen) are rock solid as well as basic mani-pedis. Perhaps look somewhere else if you are looking for detailed multi-layer fine-line nail art but then again, that might be the domain of solo techs rather than salons anyway. HIGHLY RECOMMEND MAKING AN APPT, as they get quite busy. Especially on evenings/weekends. You can call or text them, or msg them on their website - they get back really quickly.
